Ive been going to Dr Betts office for years. Ive only stayed with their office as it is very convenient for me because of the location. That being said i have had enough of their inability to communicate with me. I feel like ive always been treated like im just a number and not a patient. My prescriptions are always being held back and i go days and in todays instance about a week now without my meds. They never and i mean never answer their phones and when you leave a message with their answering service they never call you back. I am not the only one who has complained about this but i assure you ive had enough. The nurse there likes to take blood pressure while at the same time pricking my finger for my diabetes all to save time giving me bad or false readings. I did bloodwork for this office 5 weeks ago and for the past three weeks ive been trying to call them to get my blood work results to no avail. I will now be seeking out another doctor as i feel this one has failed me miserably. I also highly recommend anyone with similar issues to walk away as well. This is the worst dr. I have ever been to. The waiting room is horrible, as someone else said it's just like the DMV. We waited over 2 hours at one appointment to see Dr. Betts. For the first year we went there we saw Jennifer who was very unprofessional. My husband had been extremely sick but because his bloodwork came back "normal" she diagnosed him with fibromyalgia and prescribed him some heavy pain killers and told him not to go"cra-cra" with them. I practically begged her to help him and she told us he was perfectly healthy, maybe it's depression. A year and half later we went back with hopes that Dr. Betts could help us. He did blood work and ultrasound and still not able to find anything wrong with my husband who is extremely sick in many ways, when trying to explain symptoms Dr. Betts refuses to listen and constantly talks over us. He even belched at one point to explain maybe he had gurd. Moving on to another dr. for help, obviously they will not be able to diagnose home at this office, seems they are only there to prescribe medication for pain and antibiotics, not a dr you would trust with your overall health. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star I'll do it, I moved my mom care here coz they was referred to me by my co worker, and also her ecologist moved far, she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer at first..the Practioner was very nice while doing a phone check up at first, they asked me why at my moms still works and my mom insist to work coz she need to work due of necessities on their daily lives, now she's in pain and asking for a month disability, And now they giving us hard times to get the disability form and charged us for some fees..the Practioner talks super to fast thinking that all her patients gets what she's talking about SHE'S THE MOST RUDE PRACTIONER (her name is Jennifer by the way) ever meet, also the place was so hard to reached out, no one answers the phone and all staffs are rude..so I don't think I would recommend this place..and sad to say I have to movemom to a different doctor care who will listen and treat to her nicely read more

I am a current patient of Dr. Betts and his practice of about a year. I began attending the practice after a decade long hiatus from any of kind of medical care whatever. I was prompted to begin seeking regular medical care due to an emergence of hypochondria. As you may imagine, I can be a handful. That is why I am so fortunate to have found Dr. Randolph Betts, MD, and Dr. Jennifer Betts, FNP. The former has such a calming effect on me, even when I'm at my most anxious. I tend to arrive at Betts' office at nearly peaking anxiety levels, but then I tend to leave my visits with him smiling and relieved that I'm not dying. Plus, he reminds of William Shatner. I mean- who wouldn't feel better after being treated by James T. Kirk or T.J. Hooker? Finally, there is Jennifer Betts, FNP. She is my primary practitioner and that is a good thing, because she seems to understand how to deal with me. She doesn't over-indulge my anxiety, but she does go out of her way to soothe it either by lengthy counseling sessions or by referring me for lab tests. But at the same time, she'll let me know when I need to simply stop freaking out. Dr. Jennifer extends to me just the right balance of paternalism and autonomy. That is a point I think that a particular reviewer is sorely missing; it's not that Dr. Jennifer talks to one 'like a child,' it is that she is employing a bioethical principle called paternalism. As patients, we need that every once in a while from our practitioners. If she allowed a patient, say, me to be fully autonomous in matters concerning my health care, I'd be a mess right now. While I'm at it, I'll also address the qualm stated by a second reviewer about waiting times. You posted your review when 'walk-ins' were part of the daily practice. As of January that is no longer the case. I had an appointment last week, and I was called in 30-45 minutes later. I was seen by Dr. Jennifer 15 minutes after I was called in. Moreover, if Dr. R. Betts or anyone else from this practice is in [it] "for the money", then, please, do tell me how my state-funded insurance helps them fulfill that goal? Drs. Randolph Betts and his daughter Jennifer Betts routinely missed my appointments by 45 + minutes. On 7/14/10 Jennifer Betts missed my appointmen by 1 hour 15 minutes. When I told her it is not OK to do that, she seemed confused and literally told me she couldn't understand why I was upset. I figure, it's so obvious why I'm upset that there must be something wrong with this person. Why would I take medical advice from someone who can't see something so obvious and that is right in front of them? She also claimed she was late because she likes to spend extra time with patients, which was a shock to me having been there 2 times before. I have never seen any evidence that they do that. What I have seen is a jam packed waiting room, so the evidence really points to them booking way too many patients to handle in one day. Doesn't sound very 'caring' to me. Jeniffer Betts became rude and seemed confused and impatient. On my two previous visits I was seen by Randy Betts, who also missed both of those appointments and was rude and impatient. I get the distinct impression from both of these doctors that they cannot wait for you to leave. They book so many patients that there may not be enough room to sit in their waiting room. On my first two visits I saw elderly or infirm patients trying to negotiate with strangers for a seat in the waiting room. I'm suspecting this is what causes the missed appointments, but most people probably don't know enough to complain. I complained and Jen Betts looked utterly baffled and just stammered over her words and couldn't really explain anything, couldn't really even annunciate words. So I left and got a refund on my $20 co-pay. Later that same day, I called two other doctors before selecting one to switch to. They both told me their waiting times were under 20 minutes, one under 10 minutes. I did the change over my insurer's web site in about 5 minutes. So, there's no real reason to use this doctor and wait these absurd amounts of time for their inattentive and too-brief consultations. read more

Jennifer is great! My mom used to go to Dr Betts for years, now my daughter and I both go there. Jennifer is such a sweetheart. She really cares about her patients, she goes above and beyond to make sure she gets the the bottom of any issues you may have. I've had kidney stones for 4 years now, she's the only one that has suggested I see an Endocrinologist to see if it could be my thyroid. I'm glad I made the switch. read more

I am just new to this clinic and i really like Dr.Betts because he takes his time to really check you and unlike any other doctors,he makes you feel important as a patient.They don't make me wait a long time if i have an appointment.The staffs are also polite and friendly. read more

WARNING! DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! My mom was a Medicare patient of Dr. Betts . His office manger and relative, Heather is probably the most unprofessional person we have ever come across. She is rude and unwilling to help correct mistakes their office makes. She expects their patients to clean up their mess! This office is so disorganized and clueless! They do not know how to code normal, physical exams for their patients, which causes numerous negative ripple effects, like Medicare denying claims and causing their patients to pay bills that Medicare would normallly pay for. When I called Heather to ask for her help with this problem she became defensive and hung up on me!!!! I tried calling back and their office put me on hold for over 10 minutes!!!! There are many great doctors with great staff behind them, there is NO NEED to go to an office like Dr. Betts. Save yourself, save your loved ones from a headache and unneccesary bills. read more

Dr. Betts has helped my grandmother and my mother. He has been in business for several years. I am used to his office being packed because many see him and his NP. I have been to other primary care doctors and this clinic really does their best to get you what you need in one visit. I am happy with his service and recommend him. read more

Horrible. he is too old to care, only wants your $. His bat sh*t crazy daughter is now there. She has terrible bedside manner and will eventually kill someone. even if you make a appointment you will wait at leat 1 hour to 3 hours, in a room full of old sick people. They do not follow up with refferals, bloodwork, etc. the staff is pretty unhelpful with these issues. overall this is a very dissapointing doctor office who does not have you best interest or health in mind. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! there are doctors who take pride in their work and dont give you the run-around. it will never improve at Dr. Betts, do yourself a favor and RUN!!!!!!!!!! read more

Dr.Betts and Jennifer are great.I have been a patient here for years and I wouldnt feel comfortable any other place.Now that walk-ins are not accepted we get into see them much quicker without having to wait long at all.Both Betts and Jennifer make sure you are up to date on all bloodwork,mamograms and any other test you may need.Referrals are really quick now also.All these people putting one star and leaving negative feedback should give him another try. read more

Staff does not greet patients and walk in to a waiting room with a closed glass window just a sign in sheet wait time 2 hours and when the receptionist finally opened the Glass window it was to collect a copay,and I reminded the receptionist that on preventative care well woman visits there is no copay Doctor Betts did not seem to understand the reason for my visit so I had to remind him I was in for my annual well woman referral for mammogram and flu shot He nor his staff thought flu shot would be covered and I was advised that the request for a flu shot was pending approval from Carrier and that I would need to come back another day so I called Anthem myself they confirmed that no approval required or necessary the flu shot is covered At no Out of pocket cost to me because this is preventative care The staff and doctor Betts still Said they will not provide flu shot because I am a healthy 51 year old woman and there is a shortage on flu vaccine so I had to take more time out of my schedule to.Travel to CVS Pharmacy who promptly verified the flu shot covered at no out of pocket cost the flu shot was administered and CVS Pharmacy billed my Carrier In addition to lack of knowledge of staff they were extremely rude and discourteous when I brought to their attention that flu shots and preventative care visits are covered with no out of pocket cost on all plans under the new healthcare laws and as physicians they need to keep up with the changes in their medical field I will not be going back nor would I recommend these physicians to anyone else wanting good medical care read more
