While the latter two items were not in stock, we got exceptional service from a young man who was stocking items in the produce section. He ran back-and-forth to the back, with a smile on his face, to see if any of these items were there, waiting to be put out on the shelves. He found eggplants for us, and also an estimate for when the other items would be coming in. We love that this Food Lion is now selling fresh organic herbs -- basil, cilantro, mint, rosemary, and more -- that are still in small pots with dirt. We purchased a mint one for $3.49, which provides a larger quantity of fresh product than the small amount in the plastic containers. We also wanted to buy a basil one but many of the basil leaves were shriveled and dry so we opted for one of the small plastic containers.
