I was driving by in traffic and decided to stop in to check this place out. The person behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. The place is clean, and they have a variety of meats and seafood for decent prices. I decided to try their sausage and bacon for my family over the holiday weekend. My family enjoyed it all and loves their sausage. You can also place special orders for various types of meat if they don't have it in house. Ever since this butcher opened locally we've been hearing very positive things about them in social media, so we stopped in one weekday to take a look. Zach, the owner was very friendly and extremely helpful! He showed us various items and explained so many things to us, including how he dry ages meats and he gave plenty of helpful suggestions. The meats are top notch here I have not had any issues for the quality of the meats the price is worth it. Service is always great they listen to you and accommodate your needs. It is a butcher shop that is hard to find but it is worth the search. This is the first place I have found beef bacon. Zack with A-Z meats made Christmas successful for fire station 2 and 5 with stafford county. On the morning of the 25th, we planned to cook a prime rib that we had bought at a local grocery store the day before. After opening the prime rib package we realized the meat was spoiled. Zack was able to get us a 16+ pound prime rib fresh from a cow for free with the help of the owner of Smoke Showin BBQ. I have bought plenty of food from A-Z meats and it has always been stellar. The selection has improved every time I have been shopping. The meats are high quality. The choices of seasonings and cooking accoutrements is decent as well. They do dry aging on site and can accommodate special requests with enough notice. We have bought our Thanksgiving bird here as well as an amazing Prime Rib roast for the holidays. I'll start by responding to another review on here. $15/lbs for tri-tip is on par with Aldi, not to mention Wegmans or Publix. Second, I've done hundreds of dollars of business with these guys, and the owners went out of their way to make good on cuts that I didn't order in advance and/or ordered on a whim. If there was an agreed deal that didn't get fulfilled, then I am sure there is a legitimate explanation, and I think it only right to give them a chance to fix it or limit the review to saying what happened, instead of accusing a fledgling local business of fraud, very silly fraud at that. As for quality of meat and satisfaction with the product - I will vouch that hands down. I've had everything from the chicken salad to the Denver steaks to those big Tomahawk ribeyes. It's all great. For good cuts at a small business? You might pay a little more. Is it worth it? In my opinion 100%, and I plan to return asap. Also, as my little girl says, the sausage is "bustin." read more
