Yes, they have everything you may need. However, the manager at this location is INCREDIBLY rude. It was on the 1st of August around 7:20PM. He told me that if we touch anything we have to buy it since we did not have gloves on. Which you cannot enforce and he did not seem to be joking. I don't understand the logic behind this because they literally have disinfectant wipes at the door. We then asked if he knew the differences between two types of rum and maybe give a recommendation but he simply walked away. Then aggressively asked for all of our IDs in our group. One of our members was still browsing and he pointed at them and shouted "WE NEED ALL YOUR IDS"...we are all well over 21. Calm down sir. It's not that serious. Ask nicely. Never a good time here. Plus it's kinda pricey and not worth the hassle of the poor management. read more

This is one of the closest liquor stores to my home and it's super convenient. They also have a great selection. You can usually find almost anything you are looking for. However, variety can only leave a positive taste for so long. My boyfriend and I went there to make a purchase close to Christmas. He had a sweatshirt on with the logo of where he works. Without disclosing where he works, I can say I don't think that it is professional for ANY employee of Bevmax to comment on his place of employment. Remarks were made to my boyfriend by a gentleman that had a green bandanna (not even a real mask) around his mouth that were BEYOND inappropriate. He was antagonizing my boyfriend due to political crap in this world which unfortunately is sad to know Bevmax allows employees to behave as such. Needless to say, we won't be back. Professionalism is lacking and it doesn't sound like I'm the only one to notice that. Get it together, Bevmax. I'll go support a local liquor store instead during these times. At least they are greatful for our business. read more

Hooray! I once again have a place that offers me same day home delivery. I used to be able to use a third party app to have cases of wine and bottles of booze delivered, but I moved out of their delivery range. Some of the local liquor stores in my area offer delivery, but it's not necessarily same day. I'm not sure if BevMax recently added me to their delivery area or if I failed to notice I was in their area previously. Their site and app could use a little upgrading to be honest, so it might have been a little unclear to me when I dropped by their site in the past. That's the only reason I docked one star. But I feel a little bad doing so because hey, at least they have online/app ordering and delivery available! They had everything I ordered in stock, and the delivery driver was prompt and very friendly. I look forward to ordering from BevMax regularly. read more

I used to love this place but the manager is beyond rude. Disgustingly rude. Was so close to getting nasty right back at him.

Never again will I ever go back in this place. The item the I was looking for I found but there was no price on it. I asked the cashier, but she wasn't sure, which is understandable, but she referred me to a man who must have been the supervisor or manager. Anywho this man was as RUDE as could be, I couldn't tell if he was just being RUDE or racist which as a paying customer he should go out his way to assist. Plus to top everything off I was 1 of 3 people in the store, so it's not like he was swamped. I guess him going back to sit in his chair was more important than helping a customer. As a retail/customer service employee, this really infuriates me. Some unnecessarily overpaid people should learn or teach themselves how to lead by example. read more

My absolute favorite liquor store in the area. I moved up here from Orlando FL about a year ago and there's a tiny liquor store on every corner up here. This is the only liquor store that isn't the size of my living room. Staff has been nothing but friendly every time I've gone as well and always eager to help me. This store happens to be my favorite because they sell a wine that's made in California and is really cheap and not popular but it's my favorite!! I docked one star because they thought they didn't carry the wine but I found it while browsing the store. They had a difficult time looking up the bottle in their system, so, if I could dock 1/2 of a star I would because I feel it's not something they can control, but it's something their upper management/IT/warehouse/system admin or whatever might be in control of. read more

They have a great selection of beer. But they are ridiculously over priced. They have blue point toasted lager for $12. Other places sell it for $9. They had a bottle of Duckhorn wine for $75. The liquor store down the street from my house has it for $45. read more

This joint is selling a lot of great beers wines, spirits and a vast variety of craft beers, and liquors. I love this place it is laid out very nicely with holiday decorations etc. Very fair prices as well I came with my friend for the first time this past saturday and wasn't disappointed. Love, love, love it! The selection is massive, one of the best in the city. The prices are fabulous, almost always cheaper than anywhere else. Those two alone make BevMax my go to for any alcohol needs, especially for parties. The selection and price can't be beat! read more

The man working at the front was RUDE. I asked him if he had a certain type of Nip and before he answers me he tells me to hold on and goes up to another customer asking if he could help her. Are you serious ? Am I not that important because I'm only buying nips ? And she's looking at the wine bottles. I will not be returning! read more

Totally amazing. I bought my usual sparkling seltzer there and they have such a huge wide varieties of liquor, beer and wine at least a dollar less compared to all other competitors!! Very friendly and eager to help!! read more

I'm an Instacart driver and shopper... I cannot believe how good the service was from the staff. Specifically, Matt, Susan and Chrissy went out of their way to help me find the items I needed to complete my order. Granted, it wasn't too busy but I've been in there recently, when it was busy, and the staff was again, amazingly helpful. I know that Instacart shoppers can be a bit pushy in our search to find items fast but the Staff did not mind, and actually walked up to me during the Christmas season and asked me how they could help. Bevmax Danbury has been a total disaster on multiple occasions, most recently for delivery...this place really sucks out LOUD and it's over priced for the misery and the store manager is useless. I saw Caraluzzi's (Fairgrounds) is right down the street and they are exponentially better if you're limited to stores in the Backus Ave area. Regardless, avoid the Bevmax dump at any cost. read more

Received an email a few days after my credit card was already charged for the item-very frustrating. I ended up ordering from Shop Direct and they had my item in stock and shipped it the next day! A large selection, clean store, poor customer service. I wanted to buy a pint of liquor and stood in front of the counter for probably 2 minutes as two employees stood at another register working on a display - which they had just started.
