I like this store a lot and not just because it's close to my house, although that helps. They have a great selection in here and the prices are reasonable. Additionally, the staff is very helpful. If you ask for something weird that they don't stock, they always ask if you'd like to have them order it. Additionally, the last time I was in there a lady had several boxes of wine bottles and the guy was happy to help her carry them to her car. Great selection and great service along with decent prices on spirits...this is my go to liquor store. read more

Favorite liquor store in Danbury, let me tell you why. Found this place from casually strolling by on a Sunday afternoon after doing groceries at Trader Joe's and getting some chipotle. They have great prices and all types of wine, beer and spirit. The owner seems to always be there when we go and he's very knowledgeable along with the friendly staff that is always ready to help you out with decision making or to find a specific product. In no time, this became our go to liquor store. We've been here several of times and each time we come they always have a special on wines. Prices are very reasonable and competitive. They also have a whole section on rare beers which I love. The store isn't huge but it has all the essentials. Honestly, what always brings me back is I don't ever feel pressured to have to buy anything or that all eyes are on me while I'm trying to stroll through the store. I have never written a review on a wine store before, but this experience warranted a review. This was my 3rd time in the store. A friend recommended it and its close enough to my house so I tried it. The first two times were fine. Its a very nice store with a good selection. Bought a couple of bottles each time and everything was good. This time my wife and I went to stock up for the holidays. A nice gentleman on the floor helped us find our favorite organic tequila, a couple of whiskeys, vodka and 8 bottles of wine. I asked him if they had a case discount, like most other liquor stores do, and he said yes 10% so we picked out four more bottles of wine. Checked out at $550+. I did not check the receipt, but I saved it and checked it the next day. Didn't see the 10% off on the wine order so I called. Guy told me some of the wine may have been on sale but if I stopped by he would look at my receipt. I stopped by today. Turns out I got 10% off on 3 of the bottles. He claimed that the other 9 were on sale. Said it must have been a misunderstanding. My issue is that had they told me this up front I would not have bought those 4 bottles that I didn't really need. The guy on the floor didn't tell me nor did the owner when he checked me out. I even asked as he was ringing me up. "Misunderstanding"? My old coach used to say, "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". For $20-$30 was it really worth losing a good new customer and any of my friends that I might refer? As I walked out he wished me a Merry Christmas. I think he meant "Bah Humbug". read more

My partner and I stopped by this place in order to buy a couple of bottles for our dinner at a lovely Thai place in Danbury that allowed BYOB. I'd read the reviews of this wine store and was prepared for surly or nonexistent service. Instead, we found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and knowledgable. The prices seemed perfectly fine to us. It would appear that they've chosen carefully in order to offer products at all price points. The wine selection was phenomenal. My guy kept saying he was sorry he couldn't have taken more time in the brandy and cognac areas, and I wished we'd been able to browse the impressive array of champagnes they had. We kept saying it would be nice if we had something nearly as good near us (the Boston area). The shop was clean, well lit, and set up logically and clearly. Again, the staff guided us to the wines we requested, no attitude or unkindness. In fact, they were extremely happy to help out. It was a pleasure to shop there. By the way, the staff was masked to the eyeballs, so if that's your worry, then rest easy. read more

Had to come here and leave a review, because these guys have been SO awesome. First of all, they have the very best selection of bourbon and rye in the area. Prices on most of the stuff is very reasonable. Be sure to check out their barrel picks - I've tried their Russell's, High West and Old Scout and they have all been phenomenal! There had been a particular rye I've been having trouble finding, and they were kind enough to take my number down and call me when it came in. My understanding is that Ct state law requires everyone to wear a mask in public. The guys running this place obviously feel they know better than the experts and they are not wearing masks. Do they have better info than the rest of us? Discovered this place by accident when I needed to pull over for an "emergency" Starbucks visit for my wife. Wow. What an impressive selection of local craft beers. I visit family in CT (from PA) several times per year, and while there I like to buy good local IPAs. This has usually required stops at multiple beer distributors (I'm sorry, they're "package stores"--I've been in PA too long!), but now I can one-and-done it at WWL. This is now a required stop for us. Not only is the selection excellent, but the stock is fresh (the pales and IPAs I bought today were canned within the last WEEK) and the people who work here are knowledgeable and friendly. Very rude staff. Went In before going to a birthday party. We wanted a bottle of clase azul (not a cheap bottle of tequila) that was on the shelf and not in a box, when my boyfriend asked the man behind the counter if he could have a bottle in a box as we were gifting it to someone. An innocent question...the man behind the counter snickered at us and rolled his eyes and said " Um yes.... that's why I have one in my hand right here for you" we almost walked out but needed to buy the bottle because we were late for the birthday party. Needless to say pretty disappointed because we live off exit 1. Will NOT be going back here. But darn, they take your credit card in a blink of an eye. I've been popping in here for years, but it's definitely been a while since I actually stopped by. I used to frequent this a couple times during the week since my best friend was a manager at Petland (no longer there) and on his break we'd browse the wares in Warehouse (heh). From what I remembered, their selection was impeccable. Flash forward to last night when I'm on my way to another buddy's place and I'm in dire need of a six-pack. I walked into Warehouse for the first time in about a year and honestly, nothing has changed. The staff was still super welcoming and friendly, their selection was second to none, and the variety of craft beer was pretty insane. Nostalgic at its finest, for sure. I walked out with a four-pack of Six Point Four Beans (yeah yeah, shoot me for not getting a six-pack like I originally planned on doing) and a bomber of Stone's 08.08.08 Vertical Epic rerelease. This place has a great micro brew selection and the staff can make recommendations if your not sure what your in the mood for. I have found some rare beers here including Ghandi Bot, Flower Power, and others. They seem to know what are the hot beers on the marketplace and they can tell you if they are going to be getting it in. The wine selection is also very good and the prices seem very competitive. I used to go to this place by convenience only. Fortunately, now we have a better option with more and higher quality options wines with more space. The staff is very rude, never smile. I rarely see someone giving a recommendation or trying to connect with the customer. Last time I came here I saw the manager/owner "Joe" yelling to a customer (a women) in front of everyone. Contrary to other reviews and although its true the Gents behind the counter are maskless the checkout counter is HUGE and provides plenty of social distancing. Selection of beer is decent the problem was the man working the counter he was by far the rudest person I have ever encountered. I am still in disbelief as to how he spoke to me as if I was a child, if you work in customer service you should at least have the ability to speak to another person without yelling and talking down to them. I was so upset at how my interaction went with him that I decided to not even purchase the items I had picked out. I will be sure to never go to this establishment again. I usually drive from NY to go to this particular store but there are many other stores I would rather spend my money at then this one. Large selection. Prices are OK, maybe a little high for the danbury area. Customer service is terrible though. I recently bought a Barolo ( ~$35 bottle of wine) to take on a trip to Vermont for my birthday. Unfortunately as soon as we opened it I could tell it had that musty, basement like smell and a corked taste. I've had this happen to me at a restaurant once, and the characteristics of a corked bottle of wine are very distinct. However, never having this happen to me with a bottle from a store, I poured the bottle out, saved the cork and enjoyed the rest of my weekend. Upon trying to return the bottle to this store, the two staff members at the counter harshly turned down my request saying I should not have poured it out and that I may have drank it. Having never had to return a bottle of wine before I was dumbfounded and taken aback by their rude abruptness. Even if this was a policy (I've never seen it written down) the staff should have worked more to resolve my complaint. I am the type of person who doesn't even return a bad meal at a restaurant and would never consider this with even a lesser bottle of wine but when you spend good money on what's supposed to be quality wine you expect quality service with it and this place does not provide that whatsoever. read more

Very helpful staff, always ask if you need assistance. Everything is clearly labeled and properly organized. Reasonable prices. If you are looking for something that they dont have in stock they will recommend something equivalent or better or order it for you. They are very pleasant and will answer your questions honestly and help you out to the car with you purchases. read more
