Picked one of my usuals and then tried one that was recommended to me. Love small, quaint, places like these where you can chat a little (or not) and just come in real quick and get what you need. It's not a huuuuge store but it's also deceiving. A lot bigger than you'd think! Wide selection of spirits. Plenty of wines. Also a fridge selection for some ready to go items. Plenty of parking. He then asked "would you like me to get it?" The item was there next time I stopped in, and considerably less expensive than I was used to paying. I'm a big vodka guy, and every single vodka Ralph has recommended has become on that I buy regularly. All of the staff are very friendly, and I make it a point to hang out and talk if it's not busy. Unlike many stores, Ralph knows all of the products intimately. Not just wine like most places. Along with all f his vodka recommendations, he knows the grain the vodka is distilled from, and can compare the taste to other popular brands, too. All of the above applies to bourbons that he's recommended. I'm not a huge wine enthusiast, but the few I've tried based upon his recommendations have been exactly what he described.

The store isn't huge, but it has a good selection of liquors and alcohols, coolers for beer, and of course wine. The prices I would say are a touch higher, but it looks like an established business so I assume they know what they're doing. There's a diamond shelf unit for wine which is really cool, and even a rocking chair! If you're looking for inspiration, this shop may be for you.

He rang me up and said $25.94 please so I asked for a receipt. No bag was supplied. I walked outside and looked at the receipt and saw that the price charged was $23.99 plus tax. So I went back inside and showed him the price discrepancy. He said he "meant to change the price sticker" I said to him he should give me $2 (honor the price displayed) back. Instead he became a little angry and gave me a refund and I have him the bottle back. I am never going there again. *The beer part of the store I have never had any problems with.

We were impressed. The shop also carries a number of distinctive cheeses, although when we were there it was a few weeks before "cheese season" gets underway. The space is very clean and attractive, and the owner offered welcome good advice about purchases.
