Very nice liquor store. Excellent selection of wines and beer, as well as some decent foods and stuff like wine glasses. They do a particularly good job of shelving good value wines. My only complaint was their commonplace practice of posting under wines positive reviews for a different vintage. Although I love BevMo in general, this particular store never has the beers I want in stock. I can go to the BevMo on Geary in SF or Trader Joe's in Emeryville and get them but this BevMo never has them. This afternoon was the third time that I went and left without having been able to buy the things I wanted. It's Bevmo, so I'm not going to bother getting into what they sell. I did find everything I was looking for liquor/liqueur wise. I just want to applaud this store on having really great customer service. The staff were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about helping us shop for some cocktail making ingredients. It was not in a pushy buy more stuff way, but in an "I too love cocktails!" way. Not sure if the staff works a regular schedule, but we were in on a Saturday afternoon. Great experience. We needed wine and a keg for our wedding last week. Their wine prices weren't as good as Costco, so we went there for our four cases. It was a bit of a gamble because BevMo accepts returns on unopened, unscathed wine, whereas Costco does not. I figured it's better to spend less and potentially have leftovers. It was a good decision. Beware: reserving a specific keg does NOT mean they will have it on your pick-up day. In other words, reserving a keg is functionally the same as not reserving a keg. I found this out the day before our wedding, and went with a backup beer. Just as good, no real harm done, but seriously... Very good selection, OK prices, sketchy customer service. read more

good beer, wine and booze for good prices... the reason why i'm giving this place 5 and not 4 is because of my experience the last time i was in there... so my girlfriend and I asked for help getting some grappa from behind a glass case and we asked which one she liked better... SHE ACTUALLY SAID I DON'T KNOW... I HAVEN'T TRIED IT... then asked us about it that has never happened and i wish i knew her name because everybody who works there usually makes something up about how good stuff is even if they don't know... it was so nice to hear "I don't know" for once... as long as it's not everytime, i'm cool :) read more

We got all of our alcoholic beverages from this BevMo for our wedding and couldn't be happier. Aside from the selection you'd expect from BevMo, the people (especially Marla) were so helpful and friendly! We found some amazing deals on the wines and champagne, and they were just so great with the service! Both the wines and champagnes also tasted and looked really great, and we were able to easily meet our budget. Pickup was super easy, and they also chill whatever you need. Great service! read more

This BevMo has ridiculous customer service. Every time I go in there it takes forever for someone to help me find something. I've never had a solid "this person knows what they're doing" experience. Just moments ago I called to reserve a keg. I was put on hold for a few minutes, then heard someone pushing the keypad of the phone, then they hung up on me. Classic. If you don't need anyone's help and you don't mind paying average to above average prices, then this place is fine. read more

The staff at Bevmo were super friendly and supportive in helping us buy the alcohol for our wedding. We got a great deal with great service, even when I returned after the event to return over $100 worth of soda (what were we thinking? no one was interested in the soda), they helped load up a cart and scan it all back in. Being a behemoth, I would expect BevMo to be a lot cheaper than it is. If you want cheap, Safeway of Trader Joes will beat BevMo everytime. And if I'm going to buy non-cheap booze I'd rather support one of the smaller, family run liquor stores (Ledger's on University, that little spot on Hopkins st) than a giant chain. Also, the staff is not very knowledgeable here and it takes way too long to purchase and return a keg. good wine deals and a massive inventory are definately good things though... I shop here when throwing a big party or happen to be in the neighbourhood. read more

Although they didn't have my NUVO I still love this place. I go here for my favs. like Remy Martin,(of course) 1800, Ciroc and all the other liqours. They have a pretty good selection of little snacks also. Cause as a drinker ya know you get hungry often! read more

I recently compared Bevmo's prices with Safeway prices and I was disappointed to find out that both stores share the same prices in a lot of their alcoholic beverages. I used to find great deals at Bevmo but it's no longer true. It seems like businesses are hurting, big and small. I don't love our Safeway on Solano but I decided that Safeway is now my one-stop store for groceries and alcoholic beverages whenever I need them. I can't deny that Bevmo's selection is way larger and better! read more

I was at this store this evening to buy some Vodka, the price on the shelf said a bottle cost 49.99, so I asked the clerk to unlock the door and double checked on the price and went to the cash register to pay, when the bottle ran up for 62.39 I was a bit shocked and ask why, I was told that the price I saw was for members. Bait and switch is what I am reminded of. The price on the shelf should be what the item costs, if there is a discount with a members card or rewards program then a second price should indicate that. I am tired of big retail screwing the consumer. When I called to talk with the manager the phone just rang and rang. Very bad customer service and worst pricing practices. STAY AWAY, I will never shop there again. read more

We went to Bevmo this week to get wine for our wedding. During previous five cent sales we have bought wine with the intent to taste things and get them for the wedding. Needless to say, this was a very difficult endeavor. This time we happened upon a lovely employee named Sam who agreed to open the bottles that we were considering and let us taste them there. He was very knowledgeable about the wine and incredibly friendly. He had to ask his manager to make sure it was okay but she was also very friendly and readily agreed to our request. Thanks Sam! What a wonderful experience I had today at Beverages and More in Albany, CA. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Reggie at the cash register was particularly nice and accommodating. BEV NO MO 5 cent sale? NOT! So I go in fill the cart with wines that I think I am getting for half price plus 5 cents and when I get to the check out stand the clerk says oh no none of these are part of the 5 cent sale - what??? - the ad I thought said everything ???? NO! NO!! None of those are part of the 5 cent sale and I say but the clerk on the floor just told me they were - but the clerk insists no they are NOT - but says "but if you want a bit of a discount you can join our Bev Mo club and give us your name and address and phone [and for all I know social security and a drop of blood] otherwise these are all regular price and the people behind me are looking at the ceiling - BEV Mo sucks so they lure you in and then put you in a difficult situation with the line behind you and all that pressure just go along with the whole deceptive manipulative false advertising thing but not me I said forget it then and bought 4 of the wines I was looking for (at a price probably higher than Raleys) and left the rest for them to re-shelve! Full marks however to the clerk - not her fault BEV Mo plays these games - she remained patient - just doing her job - I say avoid the place - or find out before you get in line EXACTLY completely precisely what you are going to be charged and decide if you want to be part of the BEV Mo Club - who knows what they do with the personal data and you are not really in a position to ask a lot of questions when you are standing at the check out stand with 5 people behind you glaring and rolling their eyes because you are making them wait.
