On my first visit I submitted a request for a special order item and have not received a reply or acknowledgment, On second visit, I was interested in a revolver that was for sale on their website. Although the revolver was displayed and I was able to handle it, the salesperson said it was not for sale. When I brought up a screenshot of same revolver on the McQueeneyGunShop website she denied they had a website!! The website lists their phone number and address!! I sent an email to their contact person on their website and never received a reply back. There seems to be some sort of scam going on with this situation. Luckily I found a small proprietor run gun store in New Bruenfels that was a great experience and I made some orders through him. He was also extremely LE/Mil friendly When it comes to McQueeney Gun Club - take your business someplace else.

There have been some changes in the past year in the pricing structure and sadly the matches are no longer held here. However, I am still a member and visit at least 3-4x a month. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. They have had a lot of staff turnover and pricing changes, so just verify what the cost is ahead of time so there are no surprises. This is still my favorite outdoor range. I would give 5 stars if the Competitive matches came back.

Unlike other places that only allow 45mins to an hour. They have firearms for rent and for sale. It's FAMILY OWNED, and takes good care of their employees. It's also a woman owned business - I always love that. They have a shotgun range, a .22 steel target range, pistol range, a rifle range, and a private shooting bay that you can rent if you have a small party of friends or want to do some private training/lessons there. My favorite thing about it? It still embodies the old Texas spirit, it's a true Texas experience here.

So that was satisfying. They provided the instructions on everything and discussed safety in detail. In my opinion the staff were totally professional ans made sure safety was a priority. I didn't feel unsafe at all while qualifying here at this range. I would recommend this place for outdoor range shooting.

He was very proud that because HCR bought them they could let their front office person go and use HCR's folks instead. I've shot each of the rifles ranging from a 257 Roberts to 300 Weatherby and 338 Winchester Magnum and each one met or exceeded their guarantee. Even the 338 WInchester shot much better than any rifle that powerful has a right to shoot! Matt Bettersworth is the single most knowledgeable person I have ever met regarding rifles. If he tells you something, he's probably right! I can't imagine why anyone would not be very satisfied with their service. Every business has a "bad day" once in awhile where everything goes wrong at once, but I honestly can't imagine HCR not making it right. They are good people with an extremely talented group of gunsmiths.
