I had a storage space that was an absolute nightmare which I needed to get a handle on in preparation for an impromptu out of state move. Spruce Goose's own Jennifer and Kristen came to the rescue. They each worked about five hours straight non-stop, organizing, labeling, sorting, etc. A particularly challenging aspect concerning this job is that the space was very confined and limited so it was like trying to solve and manipulate a giant Rubik's cube. The weather didn't help matters, but that was no deterrent to these gals--they pushed thru like real troopers. They were both very professional and worked efficiently without judgment. Wished I could have had them each another 5 hours or more as this was a particularly big and convoluted job--sorting through years of accumulated items, clothing, tools, supplies, and personal treasures all out most of which were in disarray. The end result, while not totally completed due to time and other constraints was nonetheless satisfactory. My main reluctance to the possibility of using Spruce Goose again would be that their rate$ are very high in my opinion--but then again, if I factor in the value I place on my personal time I suppose they are worth the extra premium! I could have handled this job myself but the emotional and energetic toll extracted would have been significant.

Even though I ordered only two boutonnieres, a brides maid's bouquet and a bride's bouquet and an arrangement for our hotel room. The flowers were wonderful and exactly what I wanted. I had ordered them from New Mexico so I was a little worried. William came over the morning of the wedding on a Saturday to replace a few wilty delfinias. He didn't charge me and was charming and quick. He fixed them up in the hotel lobby and made two small bouquets for for last minute brides maids. The wedding was simple and only four people plus my husband and I. But the flowers made it so special. All the girls were thrilled with their flowers and took them home. Since I've been on the hunt for a Fiesta wreath, I stopped in one evening. I was greeted by Nathan, who let me know I could both buy a ready-made wreath as well as sign up for a class to make my own. There were many lovely wreaths to choose from (see pics), but I was intrigued by the idea of creating my own. Nathan offered to check in with the owner, Cynthia, about class availability for the upcoming Saturday. She said she wasn't planning to hold a class as she was quite busy preparing for both Fiesta and Easter, but that she'd be willing to set up a class. Come Saturday, I and a friend and her 9-year-old daughter had an absolutely wonderful afternoon with Cynthia and her friend Lori, who taught us how to create our own wreaths. They provide a wide array of fun materials, personalized instruction, assistance if you need it, and snacks, too! Cynthia is a kind soul and was especially nurturing, empowering and encouraging with my friend's daughter, telling her, "Your wreath, your choice," to ensure she created a wreath exactly how she wanted it. We were there for about four hours (it felt more like two) and left with three beautiful wreaths that we will happily hang. We're looking forward to coming back in June to make a 4th of July wreath. And then of course there's Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.... If you love arts and crafts and holidays, gather up your friends and sign up for a wreath-making class. Don't have time or interest in making your own wreath? Then stop by and pick up one that's already made. I highly recommend Boutique on Basse! They've always been extremely courteous, professional, and efficient. For this last go around, Carlos, Alberto, and Wilmer were pruning my red oak that desperately needed it. They said up to four hours but I think they finished in less time; since I work from home at times I wasn't paying attention to their work and they let me know when they were done. They cleaned up everything nicely and save for a better looking tree, you'd not know they were ever there.
