I've used Mission City Arbor Group three times now. Twice for pruning and trimming and once for a sick pecan tree removal. They've always been extremely courteous, professional, and efficient. For this last go around, Carlos, Alberto, and Wilmer were pruning my red oak that desperately needed it. They said up to four hours but I think they finished in less time; since I work from home at times I wasn't paying attention to their work and they let me know when they were done. They cleaned up everything nicely and save for a better looking tree, you'd not know they were ever there. Had them take down a couple of trees and raise the canopy. The cleanup from the work they did was subpar. I had to go out and do quite a bit of cleanup because of their lack of attention to detail. Even when I look at what they did to raise the canopy, there was still a lot of small limbs and dead limbs that had never been cut in the front yard. For $4400 I at least expected the guys to clean up, but no. Not really worth the mess they left behind. read more

You know you have found the right tree people when they feel as bad about having to cut down a mature tree as you do. I've had MCAG do two big removal + pruning jobs for me, and I couldn't be happier. The last one meant cutting down a 30-year-old dying pecan that had become dangerous, as well as pruning the remaining pecan and some overgrown crape myrtles. Everything went fine, and Mission City cleaned up every twig. The price was reasonable, but not cheap. You get what you pay for, and I am not trusting the care of my trees with just any yahoo with a chainsaw. read more

They cut back a damaged giant RedOak. Used bucket lift and chipper. They were very efficient and did a great job . They were also the best price probably in the city. I got four bits and they were the best, very reasonable. The other companies did not use bucket lifts and chipper shredders and charged a lot more money. read more

The beautiful massive trees on my property were yet another item neglected in this house I purchased. I knew this was going to be a massive endeavor. I came to Yelp for help finding a company to take on this project. I spoke to several different people and received four quotes. The quotes were all between $3000 and $3800 and the degrees of experience carried pretty significantly. I hired Mission City about a month and a half ago and I wish I had written down the names of everyone that worked on these trees, but I didn't and I apologize for that because names are important. The certified arborist that walked the property with me, explained their process very thoroughly. We discussed each and every tree that needed work, including two trees on adjacent properties. The work was extensive and had to be completed over two days. I had a few trees removed, every single tree trimmed and cleaned up, and the neighbor's trees cut back. I cannot even describe the amount of work this entailed. The crew was very professional, they involved me as needed, and worked very diligently. Both days they cleaned up and you would never have guessed how much of the trees came down. The job was amazing and well worth the price. I contacted them to trim my two trees from hitting my house and my neighbor's house and my other neighbor's tree branches hanging over my side of the fence. My wife and I are very pleased that we decided to have Mission City Arbor Group take care of our tree trimming needs. Levi was prompt to reply and showed up on time (actually early - I received a text that his morning had opened up and he could come by earlier than planned if I wanted) for his initial walk around the property to see what work we wanted done. We have a large oak tree that was tornado damaged a few years ago and needed to be trimmed and have dead wood removed. In addition, there are several pecans and a few more oaks that needed trimming.
