Ok, I got hooked on these Too Good Eats artisan Drinks, specifically the Pineapple Hibiscus Ginger drink. At $7 to $8 for a drink it's an occasional treat but can't find them everywhere. I was not familiar with Bexley Natural Market but saw from the Too Good Eats website that the market carried them so off I went exploring. Parkign lot is limited and that area of Cassady Avenue was a little busy but I was able to get in and out ok and find a spot to park. The staff interaction was ok but REALLY missed an opportunity to sell the market and what they are about. I had asked about the membership and the bland explanations really didn't say much at all and the interaction was not very inviting and kind of dismissive. I would have been happy that some new traffic came in and showed an interest. Anyway, the market offers all kinds of items from produce, vegan options, natural drinks, and grocery items. It appears the main focus is supporting local farmers and vendors in the area. I will come back and take another look around but was super happy they had the drinks I liked. If interested- I found online that the membersip is $30 one-time payment and annual dues of $45 that provides 5% to 8% off and monthly coupons & promotions valued at $100 a year in savings. NOT your friendly neighborhood market. I've visited three times, and despite loving the concept, I've been consistently disappointed. The prices are steep but consistent with the quality, but the real issue is the lackluster customer service. The staff seems disengaged - I've been met with minimal eye contact and zero initiative to help. I'm interested in the co-op membership, but I've never been approached about it and tried to ask but was ignored. If the team isn't invested, maybe it's time to pass the torch to someone who is. read more

Wonderful selection of local products! My favorites are crumbs bakery sourdough and the fresh veggies throughout the summer. You can even get locally grown greens in the winter from farms that have high tunnels and hoop houses. They also have a nice beer selection as well as a variety of locally produced cheese and dairy products. Groceries like this are few and far between anymore, it's so great to support small local grocery stores when you can! I also feel like the store has an overall warm feeling. So plenty of my friends have been coming to this place and finally I gave in and had to check it out today. I was literally right next door to it at the Bexley Coffee Shop so it was a great excuse to stop by here and see what they have. This natural market sells many things from local vendors like Dan's Bakery, Boline Apothecary, Pattycake Bakery, etc. This co-op definitely has many choices but the prices aren't the best. Although you are getting the best in quality of products so take that into consideration when you're here and making your own judgement as well. Dan's Bakery comes in Monday's and Friday's to deliver his fresh made breads to the store. Some of the others are sent to the store. I know I was looking for a peppermint essential oil but I really couldn't find this brand I wanted so I didn't get it but definitely got the same spreads I had at the elite event last night like the roasted red bell pepper hummus from Darista. If you want to get a good sample of this, the Giant Eagle Market District in Grandview Yard will have it on May 29 at 6 PM for you to enjoy. Onto the store, it's quite small but each section is broken from the oils, vitamins to the freezer and fresh vegetable area. I could spend a whole paycheck here but I know my limits and only buy what I really need. Definitely will be back soon for the things I only desperately need! read more

I like independent co ops more than the chain stores. Since Clintonville Community Market is no longer around, there's a void in my life. Thought I would look at Bexley Natural Market, where I've been to a few times. It's a bit out of the way, so I probably won't be a member. They are a pretty small and limited selection store, and the prices are often high, but it's somewhere I would stop again if around. It has a large fresh produce section. It actually impressed me to see that much. The prices are kind of high but most of it is organic. It has a large frozen foods selection. There's lots of dairy free options. It has a good amount of baked goods and breads. The rye bread is the best. It's got a large section of herbs and supplements. The bulk food section is pretty disappointing. It's mostly beans and flour. They only had two kinds of granola. It used to have more. They did have some interesting products like amaranth and teff flour. I could find a lot of similar products cheaper. They do have some things here I so far have not been able to find. I could shop here more often if I lived by. It's a little too expensive to do regular shopping here. They are a pretty helpful staff, and they offer lots of discounts to members so that helps a bit. read more

I have frequented the Bexley Market on and off over the past 15 years. Today was my official last visit. Selection was dismal - they carry none of the higher quality brands. The selection that was there was very overpriced. To make matters worse, the employee who there today seemed to go out of her way to be RUDE. I can not recommend this place to anyone! read more

I'm not usually one to hold grudges. I forgive people easily -- hell, 'Let It Go' was my theme song for 2014. But my disdain for the Bexley Natural Market was one I thought I'd hold onto for a very, very long time. (Enter another Disney classic...) Tale as old as time True as it can be Barely even friends Then somebody bends Unexpectedly Just a little change Small, to say the least Both a little scared Neither one prepared Bmac and the Bexley Natural Market. So what changed? I don't know if it was me, if it was them, or maybe a combination of both. But over the past year, my harsh views on the BNM have softened. Here are some of the great things I've noticed: -Lots of alternative flours -Lots of gluten-free options, like Schar bread products -Local Snowville dairy and Holistic Acres Eggs -A great selection of spices and teas -Just about any sweetener you could imagine -Bright, fresh produce (local, when possible) -Friendly people, who are eager to help -They accept memberships from other co-ops! (I get a 2% from the Near East Side) -Sometimes there are food trucks parked out front There are still some things I don't love, like the sometimes expensive prices and the batshit crazy organization of some items. But overall, I'm a fan. We've come a long way, baby. read more

The Bexley Co Op is a great place to stop for your natural needs. They are a small store so they dont have quite as much as the Clintonville Market, but they do hold their own. I prefer to shop at Bexley than Clintonville. It's cleaner and the volunteers are more helpful. It is a friendly place to go. Unfortunately, they don't have the vast selection of the Clintonville Co Op, but they have everything I need. The best part about the Co Op is they have great prices on local and organic products. Such as: local Amish organic flours that would be $4-$6 at the grocery are $3.19. Organic oats are $1.39/lbs in bulk, where at the grocery they'd be $5 for 2lbs. Their produce always looks fresh and appealing. They offer new product samples. They have Pattycake baked goods, locally baked bread, and Global Gallery selections. They have a large heath suppliments aisle. They also have ready made foods in their refigerator from the Wellness forum. If you become a member by paying into the co op or volunteering, you get a discount on all purchases. I'm thinking about doing that if I keep going as frequently as I do. They also have a farmers market in spring/summer. Overall I really like shopping here even though I can't get everything I need in one spot. read more

I am so grateful to the staff at this place for keeping it all going. Whenever I come to Ohio to visit my relatives I rush over to pick up healthy items and just breathe a sigh of relief to walk in there and be around healthy-minded people, and buy good quality items. My relatives prefer shopping at the cheapest stores available and love to eat processed food and sugary drinks, so I just rush over here to get my Kombucha, herbal teas, organic beans, etc, etc. I hope more and more local people shop here so they can expand their offerings. And what a wonderful treat to discover the locally made skin lotions. And thanks for offering bulk herbs/spices. I'll be back soon. read more

I stopped in purely by chance, and found a nice little market. I just needed some fruit and distilled water, and noticed this store next to the coffee shop. Of course, I ended up getting more than just those necessities; they have lots of fresh produce, snacks, dry goods, etc. It's kinda expensive, and if you really need to do your shopping, "natural" or otherwise, you're going to need to go somewhere else. But for day to day needs, and a healthier alternative to Kroger or UDF, this is super handy to have in the neighborhood. read more

I've had BNM bookmarked for years, but always seem to forgot about it when I'm in the area. Here's the story: I bought some Sweet Pepper Relish (from Wishwell Farm's stand at the North Market last year. The chunky chutney is right down my alley, so when I wanted to get more after the Saturday stall was closed for the season, I couldn't find it anywhere (Curds & Whey hasn't restocked it in some time). Fast forward from October to today: I finally got a call back from Wishwell Farm. The owner explained where the relish is sold in Columbus, and TA DA! Bexley Natural Market sells the sweet stuff! Road trip!! This local, all natural, market is wonderful! The few employees were so polite and willing to help find whatever I was in need of. Perusing the few aisles, I saw several unique ingredients that I'm dying to try! Besides getting a few jars of the relish, I got a pouch of dried goji berries. Super food! Beat that. read more

They are exactly their name, a natural market in Bexley. They have a good selection of food that is vegan, a fresh veggie section, and they carry Snowville Milk (in case you didn't know, it's the best). Encouragement to bring your own bag is nice, and if you shop often it might be worth it to volunteer a little time join their family, it does come with a discount. They're not inexpensive, but as far as natural markets go the prices are reasonable. Last thing: if you want some good bread at a good price, this is the place. read more

I came here for one specific item: Vegan Caesar dressing from follow your heart. They had it so I was happy. They had some interesting items here. It was fun to explore. I got some vegan jerky which was tasty. Some of the prices were a little over the top but I was kind of expecting that. I have never experienced such horrible customer service in a market ever. I visited here twice and both times I did not feel welcomed. I only visited the second time just to see if things would chang, but that was not the case. I was never greeted any of the times. I was never asked if I needed any help. I was waiting so long to check out that I had to go in the back and ask someone to check me out, one employee just stared at me with no response. I feel sick to my stomach that I allowed them to take my money when they don't know how to treat a paying customer. I have learned my lesson though, I will never spend a penny in here again. It is not worth the treatment, I will go across town to the next market before I ever step foot in here again. read more

I walked in today and was very pleased to see a new floor going in. It will certainly improve the appearance. The clerks are always friendly. The shop is small and doesn't carry everything, but they have ordered things for me in the past. It's the only natural food store in the area. Great small store offering good quality foods. I also noted a rare (but increasingly popular) niche wine - a Natural wine (beyond organic) - Via Vecchia's "Respiro" (Cabernet Sauvignon).
