Clients received an email on Monday, July 20th stating: "We are writing to inform you of a critical and time-sensitive change regarding your legal representation. Effective Friday, July 17, 2026, CNL Law Firm, PLLC has closed." It has now been a full week since the closure, and the managing attorney/owner has provided zero communication regarding how or when clients will receive their unused retainer funds held in trust. Multiple follow-ups have gone completely ignored. It is deeply unprofessional to shutter a legal practice without an established process for returning client property and unearned retainer balances. Proceed with caution.

He encourages his clients to file frivolous emergency motions, talks down to stay at home moms who are being forced to re-enter schooling and the workforce in a way that's nothing short of outright sexism and condescension--I was told "well, it's not like nursing school is full time. A couple days a week at most." He advises his clients to behave badly, override the other party's legal parental rights, and then uses that violation as a springboard for further legal embroilment (and thus more billable hours). If you want to create conflict where there should be none, be spoken down to, create scary and unnecessary turmoil in your children's lives, insure that you're never going to be on peaceful and productive coparenting terms with your ex-spouse, and pay close to 6 figures for the privilege of that "help" them he's the guy to call. If you're looking for someone to show compassion, put your children first, encourage peaceful coparenting relationships, and minimize the stress, cost, and length of the divorce, then by all means, Mr. Abraham is the guy to call. My children, my ex, and I are worse having dealt with him.

Kevin was very busy with another case but made the time to review my information. If you are lucky enough that they take your case, you quickly realize the high level of commitment they have to each of their clients. My impression was that they seem to keep fewer cases at one time than other firms which allows them the time and resources to handle each case with care. Kevin was always available to talk if I had questions, concerns, or needed clarification. I never felt that Kevin was trying to promise anything, he was very upfront and honest and would give you the range of best and worst-case scenario.
