They also repaired the molding and metal trim surrounding my garage door, which had been severely damaged from a run-in with my car. He bid out the work at a very reasonable rate and his crew got the job done right the first time around. After that project was finished we had Mike build out our storefront. Again he made some great suggestions as to lay out, things I had not thought of, and the storefront turned out better than I had imagined it. About six months later when we took over the second floor Mike finished out our offices and stock room. He also added industrial shelving in our small basement, which added a lot of extra shelf space, and even built us a small photo studio area in which to take product shots. Mike pretty much took our spaces from shells to finish. Not only did he provide excellent guidance through the whole process, he was easy to work with and unlike a lot of contractors actually showed up for work each day. Over the past couple months, after having finished the second floor, we had Mike come back and expand our clean room to over double its original size. The newly expanded clean room came out simply great and has added a lot of productivity to the operation. I highly recommend Mike and Clear Oak for your construction project needs. Mike takes time to understand his customers' needs and when the scope of work changes, as it did several times for us, he adjusts accordingly and gets the job done in a timely and quality way. We did some footwork and scheduled three contractors to see what it would cost. From the beginning, R.A. James was our first choice. First of all, they were on time. This may seem like a minuscule thing but when you've only a few hours a day to get all your errands done, it's super important that your contractor values your time. They were straight forward and upfront while being friendly. We got our estimate within 24 hours and after receiving our other estimates, determined that we felt best about R.A. James and asked to start in about 3 weeks. He agreed that with that time frame he could get our permits approved (the city of Berwyn is the most persnickety about permits). I have to say, I was hesitant about having strangers in my home and turning my backyard and kitchen into a construction zone. As expected they were on time every day, but what really impressed me was how unobtrusive they were. Each day the project manager would ring our doorbell, greet us and let us know what they'd be doing that day, if they needed access and that was it! They also took great care to use the existing finishes on our windows so that the flow to our deck would be flawless. We wanted to add a sail shade while they were building-- "no problem." We decided to add a lamp and therefore needed an electrical outlet--"sure." Our fire table is 200lbs -- "let us help you with that." They were courteous and even more than that--fast. It took 1.5 weeks start to finish and that included Berwyn coming out to check the depth of our posts, 2 rain days, and both the electrician and the stone mason to reconstruct our brick. It was so painless, the price was competitive and the finished product was flawless, I couldn't be happier and would recommend using them for any project you might have in mind.

These projects were supposed to be completed within a maximum of one month. My spouse repeatedly asked the owner of this company to provide the final version of the contract for signature, but Mohammad kept delaying and avoiding this request with various excuses. According to the agreement, we were supposed to pay 30% of the contract amount at the start of the projects, and the remaining amount upon their completion. Unfortunately, due to an unfounded and mistaken trust in Mohammad, my spouse ended up paying him the full amount within a month -- even though, after seven months, the projects are still not finished and Mohammad is no longer answering our calls. He even failed to pay his workers, and we had to provide fruit, sweets, food, and lunch daily to Mohammad's workers for two months. Although my spouse has hired a skilled legal attorney and this matter is being pursued through the legal system, the stress and mental toll he has endured during this time is irreparable. Therefore, if you are considering a renovation or construction project in your home (painting, roofing, remodeling, finishing basement, retaining wall, etc.) , I strongly advise you not to consider this company or its owner. The most dishonest, incompetent, and disgraceful qualities a person can have are embodied in the character of this company's owner.

They were very sloppy got paint speckle's on my entire new floor and baseboards. Paint on my stairs leading to the outside and even on my driveway. Left the room with dust everywhere and did not move my furniture back as he said they do. Did not clean or prime the walls before painting them. I had a dust web on one wall corner and it was still there when they said they were finished painting. You can see roller marks on my ceiling and missed panting marks. Every appointment we had with him he either was hours late or did not show up. No phone calls and no shows. We have cameras in our house and they were standing on my $10,000 pool table and my speakers to paint. When I confronted both Haroon and the supervisor Gino all they said was "well was there any damage". After several attempts and missed appointments Haroon agreed to come back. Of course he was 8 hours late and all he said after I pointed out the horrible painting job is that he want to get past all of this and would repaint. 2 more appointments set up with him and no show and no calls. After 2 phones calls of calling the company Times Construction I left a message that I will be going to small claims court about this the supervisor Gino called and assured me that he will get this corrected or refund my money. Same scenario no show for appointments although he did call one time and said that the person that was to come got kick out of the place that she/he lived in and they could not make it. Wanted to set up another appointment on a day that my husband was having surgery. I explained I would need to call back to give them the time. Well I called gave the Ok to come and again no show no call. On top of all of this we have a TV on the wall and Haroon said that they are painting around it because no one can see behind the TV. What a joke. My husband took the TV off of the wall and told them to be careful as it was leaning against our couch. Haroon knocks the TV over and tells my sister " oh well they need a new TV anyways". They also only painted half of the room because they said that paneling cannot be painted. When we researched this and confronted him about it he said too much work. Our contract was for him to paint the paneling. I am now going to take them to small claims court. Beware!
