I am a smoothie lover and since moving to Michigan have real trouble finding a smoothie place that uses real fruit. I am happy to have found this place. Inconsistent. Of my past 4 smoothies (key word: smoothie), 2 of them were far from smooth. One literally had one half of a whole green apple in it, no exaggeration. I don't know how someone doesn't notice the giant kerplop when it's poured into a small styrofoam cup, but either the kids don't care or they aren't trained enough. I pulled out the apple and just ate it with my hand. The other "smoothie" I finished in about a minute because the bottom half of the cup was a brick of crushed ice. The other 2 smoothies I have had were great, if I find more consistency (preferably of the smooth kind) I might re-edit this, but please train your people better, when it's good it's great, when it's not it's a total ripoff which sucks. read more

I love this place. They deliver too. Every smoothie I have had so far is excellent, my fave is the Very Berry Berry. The sandwiches are great and the salads are decent, but could use a little more toppings. That little slice of poppy seed bread is the perfect compliment! read more

Friendliest staff, Tastiest smoothies and the most amazing lemon poppy seed bread ever! EVER! (seriously, they give a slice of lemon poppy seed bread with each smoothie and this stuff is chronic!) I work a few doors over from Beyond Juice and they have best the smoothies and lemon poppy seed bread/muffins. Their smoothies are better than mine and I only use fresh ingredients like they do. But.....I'm giving this review because the staff more then any in Birmingham, is the nicest and most professional. They are probably the youngest too, and that's why I'm so impressed. They are all more friendly, mature and professional than most businesses I frequent anywhere. They genuinely look like they enjoy their job. I don't frequent Beyond Juice as much as I would like, yet everyone there treats me like I'm the best customer. Such a refreshing attitude from any type of business. I think this also says something about the management's ability to pick the character of their staff. I have friends and family in the restaurant biz and they can't keep a decent honest staff even though they have pricey establishments. Beyond Juice is the best!!! We came into Beyond Juice on Saturday October 15 for a couple of sandwiches and one juice. The food was fine but for $30 I at least expect a clean establishment. Trash on the floor and dirty tables (photo posted) do not create the upscale or fresh environment that Beyond Juice is supposed to represent. I was thrilled to find Beyond Juice because it is extremely hard to find places to get fresh wheat grass juice in MI. I happened to run into the juice bar right after a yoga class let out, but the line still moved quickly as there were many people working behind the bar. I ordered the Skinny Dip smoothie with my wheat grass shot and I loved how it was just the basic smoothie, not highly sugared or too creamy. Again, I was so happy with how quick the service was at this juice bar! I have had experiences at other chains waiting a long time for juices and smoothies, but the staff here is efficient and very pleasant. read more

For a juice place it was nice. The juice I got was a carrot ginger blend however when I got it it was warm. I was not a huge fan of getting warm juice to drink would prefer it to be cold. The service was good fast. It gets crowded in there after school hours. read more

Love this place! I live equal distances from the BJ in Birmingham and the BJ is royal oak, but prefer going to this one because of the friendly staff & great location in downtown Birmingham (great for cute dog watching from inside Beyond Juice). Great smoothies, great sandwiches, I'm not sure how many calories I'm ingesting when I eat there, but it *feels* healthy....the only thing I will say is that their greek salad is not up to snuff with other greek salads in the metro D. Somewhat of a connoisseur, I take my greek salads very seriously. Theirs had too many beets, and the dressing was too sweet for greek dressing standards. read more

The only juice bar, of this kind, in town. I've had just about every juice and sandwich on the menu. God I love this place and I would recommend this place for good healthy breakfast or lunch but and here comes the bad news. There is no place to hardly sit down and if your lucky to be able to sit down your more then likely going to be bumped by someone waiting in line. One other tip don't come during peak hours because you'll be in a line that snakes outside of the building.Oh and just try sometimes to read the whiteboard menu makes me feel like Mr McGoo !! I stopped by here one Saturday after a nice raw lunch down the street, looking for some fresh juice. I was surprised how chaotic it was inside. the tables were full and there seemed to be people standing all over the place, waiting for orders. I glanced at the menu and was a bit overwhelmed, then I saw the fridge with ready to go juices. I was a bit bummed by the selection (which might vary depending on the time of day?), as it was a bit small, but they offer a lot more than just juice. They seem to have food and smoothies too. Your juices are expensive. I do not mind paying for them because I like them. HOWEVER, there needs to be a better system in place with your partner Door Dash. I ordered two juices to be delivered. A text came that the delivery person was approaching and to have a nice day. Almost 40 minutes later-no juices. First, I call Beyond Juice and a young lady with absolutely no customer service skills did not know what to do. She said, "I do really know what to do." There is no connection from the juicery to the driver. I call Door Dash and wait on hold for about 5 minutes. Then, I finally see the driver pulling up. He knocks on the door and tells me he just spilled one of my drinks; He offered to get another one but must first deliver his other drinks. Well, now you see the problem with that is that is 6pm and the joint is closing soon. Yes, I am angry. Offer a full service not one that is choppy and only puts the almighty dollar in your pocket. So, now I have one warm juice and I do not have the second juice that I ordered. There needs to be a connection between the store and driver when issues arrive. I usually order two juices and food from the Birmingham location daily. I am no longer a customer. I do not want to hear - It's Door Dashes fault. Grow the business beyond filling your wallet. This place has great smoothies and I always stop here on my way to work in the morning. I love the different combinations of smoothies and the various snacks they have available. The customer service is always phenomenal and friendly. Only once did I experience bad service. I suppose the younger girl was having a bad day, but since I've had great customer service in all of my previous visits there, I was willing to brush it off. Just what I wanted and needed. A legit smoothie place with ginger shots and wheatgrass shot with a subtle hint of agave for sweetness. I tried a custom smoothie off of the guest made list called "the dimmer." It was good and hearty but lacking in some essential flavor from pineapple. Got the job done though. read more

Originally learned about Beyond Juice Birmingham after visiting the Beyond Juice Rochester. These 2 places are entire different entities. Birmingham blows Rochester out of the water! No soy surprises added to Birmingham like Rochester does (you have to ask to have it Not added to Rochester). Not good when you have soy allergies. This place is phenomenal. I love that everything is so fresh, and you can really tell. We just recently tried there California veggie sandwich and the spicy Greigo (sp?) wrap. Both were delicious! I personal enjoyed the wrap more, but I did like that the sandwich came with a side and a pickle. My husband said the bean salad that came with his sandwich was a little heavy on the dressing, but that was the only negative comment of the meal. The smoothies are fantastic. I make smoothies often and I really enjoy the treat of a Beyond Juice smoothie, must be the ice! I have tried most of them on the menu and I have been satisfied every time. And the poppy seed bread, a nice added bonus. The service is very prompt and the employees are genuine in their people skills and careful to get the orders right, quickly. I have only eaten the food here twice and both times the sandwiches were good. I tried to order soup once, they were sold out as it was the last hour of business for the day. read more

Beyond Juice has the smoothie and cold pressed juice business down pat. They are by far the best place to get a 'real' smoothie. By 'real' I mean they use fresh ingredients and make a smoothie as if u were to blend it in a Ninja blender yourself except beyond juices taste much better than my own. There smoothies are not loaded in sugar and made to taste like a desert. They make a healthy smoothie taste great and refreshing. The cold pressed juices are also great and they have a good variety. Beyond Juice's good is also great and healthy. Lastly one of the best parts of getting a smoothie at Beyond Juice is the poppy seed bread slice they give you. I want the recipe!! read more

I have been a long time customer at Beyond Juice, but recently I have noticed a lot of things that make me never want to come back to the store. CONSTANT price raises. When I ask the register girl why the prices keep raising, she never seems to have a good answer. In fact, with the menu they just implemented I noticed that my favorite sandwich, the California Vegetarian, doesn't even have sprouts on it anymore!! Also, my favorite smoothie, the dimmer, also was raised in price.. but the recipe is still the same on the menu board...?! It seems like the company is getting a bit too big for its britches. I usually call in carry out orders but as of late the employees I have talked to have been extremely unprofessional. Oftentimes pausing the phone call to talk to a manager to ask about pricing or help them find something in the register. Don't you train your employees before you have them answering phone calls???? To be fair, I have spoken to more pleasurable employees and whenever I have a problem the managers I have talked to have been helpful and attentive in fixing the issue. read more

I've Been coming here since it was "beyond juice" which I strange because their name used to mean "better than juice" and know they say their a Juicery, whatever floats their boat I guess. the food here is okay, a little bland and played out but good for a smoothie bar. I've never liked cold-pressed juice, I don't think I'm pretentious enough to enjoy it and this place hasn't changed my mind. But the smoothies are great, I just wish the "make your own" option allowed for more than 3 ingredients considering every item on their smoothie menu has more than 3. Also they overcharge like crazy for goji added to the smoothies and have switched to only carrying gross overpriced veggie chips I've never seen anyone buy.Hipocrary and flip-flopery into a newly saturated market aside, meh food and good smoothies. read more
