    Cilantro chicken

Ordered a cilantro chicken wrap. Did not impress. It is probably their serving size but there was very little chicken, a lot of lettuce, and emptiness. The content to wrap ratio was a bit lacking and did not justify the $12 I paid. The cilantro sauce was good. The overall taste was ok, just the value was not worth it. Maybe next time, I'll try a shake or bowl.

The juices are great. I usually get the "Up Beet" and add ginger . Also the wraps are really good too. It's rather pricey but the food/drinks are good.

This is a nice location at Somerset mall. It is small, but I am happy to see it as an option on the first floor instead of the third with the food court. We came here after a long day shopping for hoco dresses and having no luck. My favorite thing to get at Beyond right now is the pressed lemonade with fruit. Today I got blueberries and strawberries. It was amazing. Although pricey, they give you a really large size that can't be finished in one sitting, I like it to drink for the entire day or share with someone in the family. My daughter likes the mango tango here. The kids typically for the smoothies over other drinks. She enjoyed it. The line today moved fast and the service was friendly and quick. I am not sure if the prices are mall prices and are a bit higher than the free standing ones, but if get food or drink at a mall there is no avoiding it. We would definitely come back here again. I am still curious about the smoothie bowls or their food. One day I will splurge and try them.

This location is on the first floor of Somerset mall. It is actually quite spacious inside. The interior is really nice. The line moves pretty quickly as well. I got one of their cookies, and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered my usual total energy drink and asked that they put it into two smaller cups. I took the drinks upstairs to my sister as she was getting her hair down. Sadly, they forgot to add banana to the drink. It tasted like a very sour and tarty strawberry drink. My sister did call them to let them know. They apologized and told us that they would remake the drink and bring us new ones because we were getting our hair done. I thought this was super awesome customer service and appreciated this. I love their smoothies and this was the only fluke my sister experienced, considering she orders from here all the time. I will definetely be back.

I ordered a 20 ounce fresh Caliente raw juice and a shot of the turmeric and the ginger. It was $14.04. The juice takes a bit time since it's freshly squeezed and it takes a lot of veggies to produce an ounce so to get 20 ounces will take some time. The caliente is spicy and tastes so green and healthy, taste wise, it's okay, very earthy for sure. The ginger and turmeric shot has some major spice and kick to it, all from the ginger. Burns going down and makes my throat feel numb even, it's a good kind of burn. The 20 ounce juice will be a slow go, since it's not so tasty going down. To my health!

I made sure only to order dishes with blackened chicken so I could be sure to avoid the raw chicken issue I had before. I had one order that was decent and tried to order again today. To my surprise, immediately after placing the order, I realized that the website had changed the order location from Troy, Michigan to some other address I didn't recognize - and which is apparently in Minnesota . I tried to cancel the order, but their "policy" is that customers are charged for an order once submitted regardless of whether they receive the order - and, apparently, regardless of whether Sweetgreen inexplicably sends the order to some location hundreds of miles away. For context, I have only ever ordered from the Troy location and have never once ordered from a different Sweetgreen location. The reason for this re-routing to Minnesota is apparently a mystery, but it's one I'll have to pay for. In any event, I am done with this company for good. If you are placing an order with them, be warned that they may "fulfill" the order hundreds of miles away, and they will still charge you for it.

Mostly a carry out crowd here. We were the only ones inside during the hour. It felt a bit like we were being watched and observed the entire meal, since we were the only ones. We ordered the chicken shawarma with hummus instead of rice, a chicken kafta with hummus instead of rice, a small fattoush and a large fattoush salads without pita. Both dinners come with lentil soup. The salad was refreshing and flavorful. I liked the dressing. More lettuce and less cucumber would have been better for me. Still quite enjoyable. The pickled veggies were so yummy. Nicely pickling and seasoning to it. Not too tart and super flavorful. Owners are both friendly, attentive and accommodating too. Their kids are in the shop hanging out. The chicken shawarma meat was a bit dry. The owner said it was dry since it was the inside and end of one shawarma on the spit. They change it every 4 hours or so. The chicken shawarma had nice flavor to it. The chicken kafta meat was moist and pretty good, flavors were quite subtle. Both meats were good with their garlic sauce and hummus. Their hummus is so smooth. Service and food were both pretty good.

My boyfriend got the beef shawarma sandwich special for $5.99. Thanks to Susan M. for the heads up on the special! They have a small seating area but we did takeout due to coronavirus. They make everything fresh to order, as another reviewer noted, and they had beef and chicken roasting on the spits when we walked in. You get to choose a can of soda from the fridge, I got a Sunkist and my boyfriend got Pepsi. Overall you can't beat this deal, and the sandwich was super delicious to boot; it reminded me of La Saj's, down the street. I definitely will be back at some point on a Tuesday or Wednesday sometime to get more shawarma.

I ordered the "Double Trouble" -- French toast loaded with cookie dough, Oreos, Nutella, and chocolate sauce. Let me just say... that dish is a train straight to diabetes. In all seriousness, it was absolutely delicious and indulgent, but definitely on the overly sweet side. If you have a serious sweet tooth, this one's for you. My wife went with the Classic Eggs Benedict, and that was excellent -- well-balanced flavors and cooked just right. The breakfast potatoes, however, were a bit bland. They were cooked well texture-wise but could definitely use more seasoning. Service was so-so, though it seemed like they were pretty busy, which likely played a role. The location is great -- conveniently about a mile from Woodside Church, one of the largest churches in Michigan -- so I can imagine it gets especially packed on weekends. One important note: restroom maintenance needs attention. With only a single restroom per gender, cleanliness is critical. My wife noticed the toilet seat wasn't clean, which is something that should be addressed promptly, especially in a high-traffic establishment. Overall, the food quality was strong, particularly the main dishes, and we'd likely return -- but there are definitely a few operational details that could elevate the experience.
