The counselor was uncaring and only took my basic information instead of helping me through the crisis and at the very least giving me some resources of places that would be willing to help me. I spent $100, as I considered it to be an ER type visit. The counselor quickly ended our session, pushing me into the lobby when I was still sobbing uncontrollably. It was humiliating to be pushed into the small lobby with that level of emotion in front of 2 men and a child, with a woman who came in as well. Even the receptionist did not offer my to use their bathroom to wash up or Kleenex. All they wanted was to be paid and me out of there. This is absolutely the last place I would send anyone to. If you want help, resources, connection don't waste your time and/or money. This place does not even worthy of 1 star. 2/8/2020 You were correct about one thing, I did not get charged $100...I got charged for $200 and it shows on the bottom that I used a debit or credit card. Nice way to outright lie about your counseling group. You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves. People in need of proper counseling beware.

I will say the staff in the front was very polite but our psychologist is what gave us a bad taste in our mouth. We went to help our child and wound up finding out our therapist was telling me one thing and my child's father a different story. It was also discovered that the patient's confidentiality was not a priority in this case which is unacceptable since that's the person the child should trust. It was also discovered months later that there were accusations made stating that the child's issues were either the mother's fault to the father or vice versa. I am very shocked that this has happened is such an environment that should have been safe for my child not based on personal opinions and biased towards whatever party the conversations were being kept with. This is very dissapointing so all I have to say is if you choose them please be careful.

She had suicidal idealizations, but even with the help line, she was able to pass it off as not that serious. She made an attempt last October, which terrified us and herself. She was institutionalized for a week and we needed to find an intensive program to help her. We looked at Embark which was completely online, 4 days a week for 3 hours a day. Or a program an hour away same amount of hours, though they would miss school, which was a huge stressor. The in person was only 4 weeks, while Embark's program was 12 weeks. We opted to try Embark. It was the best fit. She learned coping skills, behavior techniques, and how to manage her anxiety. She has thirved this last year and is going into her senior year with a much more laid back attitude. The therapist at Embark were phenomenal and really made a huge different. They worked with art therapy, yoga, discussion, situational, and many more to get through to the kids. We were so thankful to find this program.

The facility itself was excellent--clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The semi-private rooms, comfortable beds, and TVs with streaming apps made a big difference, as being as comfortable as possible during detox was really important to me. The staff were incredibly kind and supportive, the food was good, and I met with a clinician every day. They worked closely with both me and my family to create a treatment plan tailored specifically to my needs. Before I left, they also helped set me up with a strong aftercare plan, which provided the accountability and support I needed for long-term sobriety. I had been to several other treatment centers before--many of which were very expensive--but Sunrise was in-network with my insurance and was the best experience a had at a facility like this. I truly can't say enough good things about the care and dedication of the team at Sunrise.
