Our salesman, Doug, did a…read moregreat job "selling us" on Kolbe but once the sale was made and commission pocketed he basically washed his hands of any further responsibility and contact with us. After the sale we were told that HDC outsources their Kolbe window installations and warranty repair work to third party vendors. The first time the windows arrived they were the wrong size. The installer had no choice other than return the order and contact Doug to try and find out what had taken place. A new order was placed and after several MONTHS the replacement windows finally arrived. When the installer came out for the second time he could not believe the windows were still not the correct size. He immediately contacted Doug who put the blame on the person at HDC who places the orders. It had now been 6 months and still no windows. If it had not been for the installer pushing HDC to get the order correct and taking the time to provide us status updates we would have cancelled the entire order and started over. Finally, when the product did arrive it seemed that the installer spent a lot of time making sure that what he had installed met our expectations. In retrospect, the only positive experience through this whole process was dealing with the install team. They definitely went the extra mile to ensure that all of our expectations were met, taking accountability throughout the entire process

He is very knowledgable and was patient enough to go through most of them and also instructed me to go through some of the important disclosures. I really liked this one condo in potrero hill so much and we decided to put an offer. There was so much competition and we didn't stand a chance. The buyer's cover letter he wrote on my behalf was so impressive. He tried his best until the last moment to see if there still was a chance knowing I really liked the place. That's how sincere he was in understanding his client's need. That meant so much to me even though we lost the offer. I had several questions during my search and while putting the offer. He answered all my questions with clarity and he was available anytime I wanted to reach him. He was prompt in responding to all my messages and calls. For the next 2 months, we continued looking for properties to my liking and it was not easy. We would occasionally meet for lunch / talk over phone and he shared a lot of knowledge and provided valuable suggestions. He educated me about interest rates, refinancing, owner to tenant ratio when it comes to condominium complexes, litigations and more.
