I had to add the management company to Yelp to do this review only because I do not want to go public with my location. Their communities are listed on here separately. I will be the first review under the management company name. I really wish it were a way to let people know the exact community with this review but know that I am glad to let the management company and Yelp know if the so desire. My community is in Georgia. I was visiting a friend here and I loved the feel of the community from the long drive up to the gated entrance to the inside feel of the community. It made me look online and see all of the great amenities and floor plans and I was hooked from there. Once I called and connected with Tiffani L. In the leasing office, My mind was made up that I wanted to make this location my next home. Tiffani made my application process comfortable. She was patient, kind, cheerful, professional & relatable. I look forward to having her as a part of the managment team over the community I will now call home. The community itself is so dope because it is walkable to restaurants, shops and other communities and it is in a town where you would not expect that. That makes it feel so much more like home to me. Having to drive everywhere is ok and kind of what Georgia life is like but being able to safely walk to the store or to get coffee or go shopping is so boho chic for me. Best of both worlds. I wish I could post pics but that would totally give away my location. Just know the outdoor and indoor amenities are top notch. They appear serious about covid safety standards. I will circle back about the service once I move in but Tiffani L & her team made my onboarding to date very pleasant. I have had my own real estate company for fifty years and I have never treated people the way these folks do. I have a granddaughter renting an apartment from these people in Birmingham, Al. Her air conditioning broke over two weeks ago and still no one has showed up to fix it. The office staff is more than uncaring and ignorant. I would call them in Iowa but they do not list a phone number. Makes you wonder doesn't it. I would never recommend anyone to rent any property these people own. read more

Horrible experience trying to receive reimbursement funds for an insurance check they cashed AND I paid out of pocket. They aren't afraid to just shrug you off and never respond to voicemails. I would avoid at all costs. If you have the choice, STAY AWAY read more

This horrible company is treating their customers in disrespectful attitude. They are motivated by ego. Zero professionalism. Patti Woodham, Amber Jordan and the vice president Lynn have decided to mark me and not provide me the early bird contract I choose base on personal reasons. Base on my experience Patti Woodham the renewal lease is an embittered person who put personal matters before her work ethics. I clearly choose my contract on time and because of a computer error I wasn't able to sign it. When deadline pass she didn't want to honor my early bird contract. Then when I was asking to speak to her supervisor amber and Lynn she made sure to make me the bad guy in the story. Don't expect your deposit back let alone a call back. I moved out in October and they charged me for flooring that was in bad condition when I moved in. Sent a letter via certified mail objecting to this and they claim they did not receive it. Again, it was sent via certified mail so I can see it was signed for by Sara for BH mgmt. Called the regional manager Leisa I don't know how many times and never received a call back. Could only actually get her on the phone once through a transfer from the call center. Really do some serious research before considering any apartment complex managed by BH Management. They have NO concern for tenant safety, aesthetics come first, they try to make their place look inviting but you have to look very closely. Also many many added charges onto what is considered basic rent. If I had had the time and was able to research I would never have moved in to one of their properties. No matter want state they are in they operate the same, cheaply and with no safety concerns for tenants. read more

Had a horrendous and very hurtful experience at Saltmeadow Bay in Virginia Beach. I called twice inquiring my balance in advance of my move-out about payment of a penalty month for breaking my lease (moving out of state). I thought I was being responsible. Long story short, the penalty charge was never posted to my account. I received a call 4 days after my move-out threatening collections if I did not overnight the payment from out of state. The person in the office repeatedly asked the property manager to allow me to mail the payment. She refused. Policy. She said. Unbelieveable. I was never late with my rent and left the apartment in spotless shape - received my entire deposit back. This is no way to treat anyone. I loved living there, but am just so angry about how I was treated. The manager asked me how to make it right, and I let her know that it was not my decision as to how to handle this. Our unit has mold throughout and it was supposed to be newly renovated. I just moved in a few months ago and there is mold everywhere. The HVAC system is blowing mold everywhere. The front office has been giving me the run around and not trying to properly remediate the issue. The mold is on the walls, covering plants, inside of cabinets, growing on kitchen appliances, and cutting boards. Everywhere!!! After weeks of opening a ticket i finally got them to schedule an appointment with a 3rd party vendor and every time i ask them what will they be doing they act like they have no clue. How can you schedule a service with a 3rd party vendor (that you have to pay) and not know exactly they're coming out to do? Makes absolutely no sense. I will be seeking legal counsel on this matter. read more

BH management services are slum lords. they offer sub standard housing, they break their own leases monthly raising the rent, they shut off air conditioning 7-8 months a year in ARIZONA where the temps get 115+, they rarely answer the phone, and when they do they will often just hang up on you or f they don't want to answer your questions. when confronted in person in the office they threaten to have you evicted stating they will make up a reason if they want to, i was offered a discount on rent if i was to take the office guy out to dinner REALLY?!? this place needs a class action suit or jewish lightning read more

I can FINALLY review BH management without fear of reprisals.This management company has been the worst to operate the facility Ive lived in for the last 6 years. We have had constant property upkeep, drainage, and cleanliness issues since the first moment they purchased the property in Nashville. the property manager was one of the most truly inept and incompetent people Ive ever encountered. We lost heating in our apartment in January of 2022, and waited for over a month to receive a single part for the unit so that we could heat our apartment. Attempts to get ahold of them went unanswered. Only once I left a fairly scathing review and hunted down their regional manager did the property manager bother to reach back out. We requested a rental reimbursement, as they were violating state and local Housing Standards(not unusual for BH personnel), and were treated as if we were asking for the moon. We were expected to pay a full months rent for a month where we didnt receive reasonable accommodation for more than 3/4s that months duration. Then, once the problem was addressed, the maintenance manager(who had been amazing until BH took over and shackled him from being able to order parts and replacement appliances efficiently), had to beg me to change the review. He made it very evident that if I didnt, BH would have taken action against us! These people are vile, contemptuous operators and if your property is purchased by them, my recommendation would be to seek lease termination immediately. Our property was recently purchased (8/4/22) by another management company. We were told by the new management company that the previous company(BH), would have informed us of the changeover. Nothing, not a word until the day we received the first notification from the new company. Flooding never fixed, a water heater and dripping condenser never fixed, a garbage disposal that needed replacing never addressed. They're no better than Ebenezer Scrooge, the penny pinching slumlords. read more

I am a recent new tenant who has been trying to get the office to respond to an email from MS Society. We are in Las Vegas, NV, and My wife and I recently moved in. BTW one of the better apt communities here. Everything was fine, then I was forced to seek another Job. My wife suffers from MS and the National MS Society was going to assist in paying a portion of our rent. I have walked to the office spoke with Jesse and Maribel and was assured the info would be passed on to Jessica Dominguez the property Manager here at Bella Solara... My agent Jesus has been great, but I can't fault him due to the issue being the complete lack of follow-up by the property manager herself. BH Management has been a disappointment since they took over the building. The building used to look and smell clean. Since then, we have had to live with disgustingly dirty elevators, floors in common areas, hallways and stairwells that are never mopped, trash on the ground around the dumpster area and the rest of the property as well, overflowing dog waste containers, empty boxes of dog waste bags in the stations, and smelly, gross liquid being dribbled out of the valet trash cart around the building & out on the sidewalk. Residents are always notiified via email when management is off for the day, but when fees are being added or services such as valet trash and TV/Internet are being changed to a more expensive option, we hear crickets. Management does not care about the people who live here having a clean, decent home. It's all about adding amenities that can then result in higher rents for them. Not recommended! read more

I applied for an apartment that is a BH Management property here in GA. They seriously need to evaluate their privacy policies. Rental verifications are done both by phone and email which give previous landlords your exact location and tons of opportunity to put you risk of not qualifying. Sometimes, it's a security risk. There are PLENTY of ways they can collect the information while also keeping your private information private but they DON'T. Even though I asked them to keep my location private they were immensely sloppy and all but gave them a copy of the key. I'm stunned that such a large company practices foolish business tactics, has zero respect for privacy, and has such sloppy methods. BH can have an obscure template email which sends emails from an obscure BHVerifications.com address for privacy. They gather everything they need without supplying unnecessary information. I'm also not impressed with the sloppiness of the leasing staff. I pray this isn't an omen of things to come. Geeeez read more
