He immediately knew who manufactured the door from a picture of a sticker on its side, ascertained it was in stock in Dallas, drove there, picked it up, and installed it. Perfectly., I might add. Then he lubed up the door, cleaned up after himself, and tested it thoroughly before he left. I had other companies quote the job but they outright lied to me -- couldn't replace the panel, had to replace the whole door, etc. Joel explained to me that none of their crew gets commissions, and it's likely that the other companies paid their people to upsell. I HIGHLY recommend this company! Very reasonably priced, too.

These openers cost a pretty penny to install so whatever it takes to keep them where they need to be is good for us. Had to pick up some cut metal pieces that were left in the driveway & some paper that apparently blew out of some boxes, but the door opener works like a charm & sure is saving me from having to pull on that chain! These guys are engaging and aggressive (in a used car salesman way) and somehow I fell for the pitch - deciding to have the entire bathroom gutted and rebuilt without estimates for materials since their estimate was just for their crew's services. Several items I bought on my own had to be returned for a variety of reasons. The quality of work was mid to poor and ultimately I ended up with a 3 bedroom/ 1.5 bath house where I once had a 3/2 bath house (granted the 2nd bath was 70's vintage.) Now, without tearing out seriously expensive tile I won't have a shower or bath in that second bath. I guess I learned an expensive lesson. A lesson that I won't overcome in my lifetime.

We could not get it closed, so it was an emergency that we have someone out that day. They scheduled an appointment between 1 and 3. The technician called around 12:30 and said he would be there in about 45 minutes. This is where anything positive using Wylie Garage Door Service ended. The technician arrived and quoted us $340 to fix the door. After an hour and 1/2 of my husband helping the technician, using our tools and our jack to hold the door to prevent it from falling. They finally got the door closed. The technician told us over and over that it could not be fixed, that the door was too heavy for the track, that the installation was incorrect, etc. He recommended we contact our builder for a warranty claim. He apologized for not having the parts to fix the door and promised to come back the following week to fix it, but that would be another service call. He said he would have to get all new hardware, tracks, pulley system everything for the door in order to fix it. Monday morning we called Plano Overhead Garage Door. They arrived at 10:00 charged us $150 and fixed the door. That is the same price it would have been if we had called them on Saturday. Live and Learn. Just hope to help others trying to help out the small business owners, do not use Wylie Garage Door Service.
