Love this company! Prior to BHC doing my roof, I had many roofers/ estimates... even one I kicked to the curb mid job! Then BHC. (Pause- clouds opened, Angel trumpets). Bob, the estimator, came out. Very pleasant. HEARD ME (IMPORTANT!), explained things clearly. Afterwards, I asked for a few adjustments via email. Every request was answered promptly, and above and beyond polite. Because I had the beginnings of a porch roof installed (note "kicked to curb" mentioned), I had plywood over studs. It rained a few days prior to the scheduled job. I called and said "wood is a little wet, reschedule?". They postponed for two days. Day of installation, crew showed up, were very accommodating to a few cosmetic "tweaks" (I have mild OCD). "Show us and we'll do it". They explained things that I was confused on ('cause, you know, youtube said something different... PEOPLE! Don't watch youtube DIY!) I contacted BHC Roofing about a repair needed ASAP because of a storm we had. They were able to provide me a very fair price and able to deploy someone within 24 hours to get it done. Although it took a little bit to get a time together they were extremely responsive to get back to me. The work done was great, no complaints at all. I learned of BHC Roofing and Bill though a family friend recommendation. As a new home owner, I am quite green with home issues so when my second floor room experienced water issues (in the walls and ceiling) from all the major storms recently. I was thinking I need a new roof or my house is going to fall apart. Anne at BHC was quick to talk me down from major panic and mentioned that they can send someone out to investigate. Because there was a big Northeaster coming (third in 4 weeks) she quickly got someone to come out in 1 day(called Monday morning, came on Tuesday morning). They were straight forward in identifying what the problem was (flashing issue in the chimney), found no other issues, called and send me pictures, and made good recommendations to fix the flashing. I was able to make a decision with no pressure or up-sell, and they gave me a good reasonable fix that happened that day. Gina and Nik (the crew) were nice, polite and efficient. I found BHC through my employer while we working on the same site. BHC was working on a roofing project while we were working on the client's landscaping. I asked for a business card from one of their crew folks because I know that this mutual client is very particular. I filed the card away future reference and I'm very please to have run into this company. I will definitely reach out to them again when it's time to coat my roof. Contacted BHC thru yelp msg for an estimate on a leak that was coming from the walls into the carpet. Bill was able to come the next day and really took the time to explain what was going on. I actually found out that the windows were not properly installed. Because of that the water was getting trapped and eventually leaking into the walls. Contacted BHC as I noticed a small leak in my roof. They worked with my schedule to provide an estimate so I wouldn't have to take time off work. They were actually the last of my estimates and I found them to be the most knowledgeable and honest. Unfortunately for me, I needed my front roof replAced. Their quote was reasonable and it covered all bullet points. Within 24 hours of me committing to them doing the project, they had procured all permits and had me scheduled for the next day. They showed up right on time with a big crew ready to work. My roof is no easy task as it is up 4 stories (i live in a row on a hill). On a windy day, they knocked out the project in less than a day. I was shocked when I got a knock at my door letting me know they were done. The guys that worked my roof were great too. I worked from home just in case they needed anything, but they knocked it out. I'm happily updating my review. Bill and I were finally able to connect and he came out personally - twice - to try and figure out why my wall was now Niagara Falls. I'm knocking on wood, but I think the third time was the charm. After the rains Saturday, things finally seem dry! He really does try and find the most cost-effective way to fix things. Eventually, I'll have to replace the slate, but this gives me some time to save. I appreciate his persistence - both in trying to finding a way to connect, and in figuring out the leak problem. BHC just replaced the roof, gutters and downspouts on our three story home and it could not have gone any better. They used a drone to survey the roof, the quote arrived a few days later (was nearly 20% less than competing bids) and we were under contract the following week. It was a three day job and they had a huge crew all working on different pieces of the project - before we knew it they were done. They did a great job cleaning up and it was clear that they cared about making a good impression. We even had a rain day and they made sure everything was buttoned up before leaving the day prior so we had no problems at all. All of the folks we interacted with were friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating around scheduling. I've had an overall great experience with BHC. We own a 4 year old new construction in Kensington. The roof deck started leaking a year and a half ago so we had another roofing company come out to do repairs, but they only lasted until earlier this year when the leaks reappeared and in force. I contacted BHC and two other roofers for quotes to re-side and seal the roof deck. The first two roofers came out immediately, but I wasn't able to get on BHC's schedule for a week after the second quote. While that was a little frustrating, overall I'm really happy I waited. Jay came out and was super professional and explained to me the repairs and products they would use. They seemed to have the most modern practices and capabilities of the three companies. They started a few days later and sent what seemed to be the whole company to work on our house. The team worked together like a symphony, everyone seemed in good spirits and were all friendly, professional, and took pride in their craftsmanship. The work was completed in a coupe of days and has held up after a couple of good rains. About a month ago, my siding got damaged by strong winds. Part of the siding was missing and it started to come apart at the rooftop. I contacted different contractors to get an estimate on the cost of repair and that's when the fun began. I was told that the entire wall of siding had to be replaced, a number of "issues" were pointed out and the impending doom was predicted followed by outrageous quotes for repair. As predictions became more colorful, so did the images of the near future in my head until I got hold of Anne from BHC Roofing.
