What a great office. My first visit. Cancer screening and anti aging consult. Dr Parks was my doctor. A friendly and welcoming man. He carefully checked some moles and spots of concern. No cancer but 2 moles need to come off. (I won't miss them) soon as it's approved they're gone. I got a Rx for eyelash growth since mine have basically thinned out to nothing. I got a brochure and price list for cosmetic lasers and I'm considering it. Everyone in the office was kind and friendly. Lastly, I was given a code to access the patient portal for follow ups and messages. All in all such a well run professional office. read more

I needed a new medical derm and was referred to Dr Andrew Park by my sister. When I arrived, the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The wait time was short too and I was seen quickly by Dr Park. He was very thorough in his examination and his diagnosis. I liked that he answered all of my questions in detail and he even gave me preventative measures so even though I currently didn't have symptoms of it, he wanted me to be proactive to avoid it potentially getting worse down the line. He was also very friendly and I'll definitely be back! Parking was also extremely easy with plenty of street parking on all sides. read more

I guess I can't really give a review, because I never saw a doctor. I loved my former derm, Dr. Park, but her left the practice. After repeatedly changing my appointment date and time and then the doctor, I finally had a new appointment today. I arrived at 950 for my 10 am appointment. I sat in a gown in a room until 10:40 when I finally left without ever being seen or spoken to after my payment was taken. I will be finding a new dermatologist. read more

Because I was annoyed about the delay he used a sarcastic and condescending tone that is so unprofessional for a doctor. I would never go back. Nobody likes surgery , but I had to have a malignant melanoma removed from my thigh , & he did it with minimal pain & discomfort. I'm grateful he noticed this mole as I had also , & I had asked two other Dermatologists a few years ago & was told not to worry . I'm a doctor myself in Emergency medicine so I trusted this , but had I not visited Dr Mehrabi last year , things could be worse . The pathology report showed the margins are clear . I really tried to like this place, it's not a bad office the staff is nice but the reason I'm unhappy about my experience is because my face is really messed up by the Botox I received. I have visited the office several times and on my birthday I wanted to do something special even though it was a pretty expensive present to myself. I decided to get some Botox in my forehead, just an easy gentle forehead smoothing effect. I'm a licensed esthetician and I am well versed in fillers/Botox. My injection sites were too low causing heavy brows and eyelid dropping! Dr Mehrabi saw my before and after photos and agreed that I needed a correction. However when I came into see Dr Maggie she said for me to just "wait it out" explaining to me that it's only temporary and in 6 months I'll be back to normal!!! How is this ok? You mean to tell me that I just wasted all that money and I am going to look like crap for the next 6 months!!! Really? I was not offered a refund, not offered a correction NOTHING! So I'm just warning you and I'll post evidence so that my review isn't taken down because I've witnessed them take down bad reviews too. read more

Dr. Andrew Park is incredible - I highly recommend! I came in with an allergic reaction and wanted to discuss Botox but was fearful. He provided me all the information, walked me through the short and long term plans and did not pressure me either way. He was a true partner which is what I was seeking in a dermatologist. He is focused on what is best for his patients first and foremost. Ultimately I did move forward with Botox and he was so gentle with the needles, which didn't hurt at all. Highly recommend Dr Park! When I as getting my keloid shot treatments, mr mehrabi wasn't focused and was having conversations and in doing so, did the shots incorrectly and my shot came out the other side. not only was it painful, but my keloid tripled in size. Do not recommend. Had a CO2 laser treatment done on my forehead. Dr.Mehrabi was having a conversation the entire treatment with his assistant regarding family members, upcoming events etc as if I was not even in the room. Felt awkward and like I was just an object being worked on. I paid $2,000 for just the forehead and results were poor. No improvement to scarring. When I called to ask to return 6 weeks later and add subcision for better results, I was told, "no, dr said he doesn't want to try subcision yet and wait until next month for another laser treatment". Is it my face or "dr's"??? I was unhappy with the service so I found a different, highly reputable dr. Not only was the service phenomenal but the price was substantially lower, $750 for same treatment area. read more

Yes I went for a rash that came out of nowhere it was unbearable. They pretty much told it's probably bad case of eczema and prescribe me some lotion and it worked within a day. After being in pain for two weeks straight I was surprise they gave me exactly what I needed. The office wise it's clean and nice office a bit hard to find. It's on the first floor towards the back not much signal there so remember the suite number! Btw for parking there's in the building I thinks like $20. I parked on the street paid $2 in front of the building so it wasn't far either. The staff was very accommodating and nice. Even switched my appointment the day of because I had issues with handyman that came late to my house. So they changed it for me no problem. I saw Dr Mehrabi about a month ago for adult acne. I've never had any issues with my skin my whole life so I was a bit frustrated and sad. He has the best bedside manner and is really gentle and informative. He gave me multiple treatment options and was never pushy about a specific one that wills cost more. I chose to start with topical stuff only and within one week it was almost all gone! A month later and it's still clear!!! When I went back for my follow up, I had concern over a scar that I had gotten recently and he said we should wait to see how my body heals it before we throw a bunch of money at it. Again, he cares about you and your skin more than making the most money he can off of you. I really trust him and will continue to see him and refer my friends to him! read more

Two stars because I appreciated how quickly they were able to get me in, their Covid precautions and that Dr. Maggio was very friendly, however, she critically misdiagnosed me. I had a severely itchy rash that she quickly, within seconds of examining, said was herpes. I'd told her I'd never had herpes in my life, that I'd had an STD panel done 6 months ago that was negative for herpes and that I hadn't had sex since then, and she still remained confident it was herpes, telling me I could've gotten it off a toilet seat. This was very difficult on me emotionally and I cried for a few days as I imagined having to tell every future sexual partner about my status. To their slight credit, they did ask to see me back in 2 weeks but I declined knowing I'd be able to see my regular doctor by then. I'm irritated that they didn't try to test the area or my blood right then or admit that it actually could've been a few different things before confidently handing me such a devastating diagnosis. When I finally got in to see my doctor, she knew right away it wasn't herpes, but did a culture and blood test to confirm. The results ended up coming back as a fungal infection and I was negative for herpes. But in every other way outside of misdiagnosing me with a life-altering STD, this place was great. read more

Both the Glendale and Encino office are an hour from my house but the long drive is worth to see Dr.Mehrabi! I have been seeing him for years for my hormonal acne.Dr.Mehrabi has great bedside manner and never makes me feel like he is in a rush. I had an appointment with Dr.Mehrabi yesterday for my acne and scars.He honestly told me that I should not waste my money on lasers and allow the scars to fade. For my acne he said we have to fix the root of the problem and that is exactly what I want to hear from my dermatologist.He is not like other unethical dermatolgists who would take advantage of ones insecurities and recommend unecessary procedures. I was a patient at BHskin in Encino the dr was very nice but there billing department is something else I was sent a bill and I payed it by check a month later I got an other bill same amount I called them they said you have to contact the billing guy only by email. I did I told him I payed the bill by check and if there was a problem please let me know . I didn't hear anything from him and got an the same bill again I emailed him with a pic of the check that was cashed. And then I got an other bill again for the same amount. So I called the office spoke to the young lady and payed the bill again with my credit card. And told how I feel about this and I would never go back to them again EVER! read more

"Only other form of communication I had available at that time". Your staff did not pass along the msg in a timely manner what so ever. The Dr is top notch. I've seen Dr. Mehrabi through a recommendation and I'm thrilled, as are the rest of the people who I sent. That is why it pains me to leave this review. However, the front desk is a big issue. I'm really thrilled when I have to call and be placed on hold for 6 minutes and call back to get an answer, each and ever time. They always act as if they are doing you the biggest favor of answering on you. I'm happy you guys are busy but that type of behavior is no fun each time. I canceled my appointment and didn't think anything of it. I guess each time I cancel I need to get the persons name and maybe social to identify them because nobody canceled my appointment. I decided to call in today to get it squared and a wonderful lady was huffing and puffing with such frustration at me informing me that A cancelation fee may need to be applied. My first time canceling and if i was at fault - by all means but I wasn't. Sarah was the initial buffer and puffer. After, I called back again and got Jasmine who wasn't any better. She basically at the end stated "oh well I guess it's all our fault now isn't it?"but not in a way where she thinks that but in a smug condescending way. Shortly, after that thrilling conversation I got the office manager, Sarah. Who stated they misinformed you and will be dealt with - WE all know they won't be because that's office speak to get the other person to feel accomplished. She stated that she would forward my desire to speak to the dr about my last visit about my prescription but I have yet to hear from him. I'm assuming nothing was forwarded to him. I've seen how the front desk operates when a woman was waiting for an hr to be seen, wanted to leave from frustration, and was told she would be charged a cancelation fee. For what?! I canceled and refuse to pay for someone's error. The front desk seems to not care about what the dr built. They are willing to lose 6 patients for a fee that wasn't my fault. My father encouraged me to make an appointment with Dr. Mehrabi due to my ongoing battle with acne. I found myself looking like a teenager going through puberty in my late 30's. I went in as a private patient, due to the fact that my insurance plan was government based. It was money well spent. The office was very clean and organized. The office staff was kind and helpful; Camille, Vera, and Jazmen especially. Dr. Mehrabi, as well as his assistant, made me feel comfortable to talk about all the issues I've had with my skin, specifically my face. It's a bit disconcerting when you have to show your physical insecurity to a physician. Dr. Mehrabi's kind, perceptive, and thorough approach allowed me to relax and be honest. He also made sure to follow up with me regarding the medications he prescribed. He didn't want me to overpay for the prescriptions. I was referred to BH Skin for my daughter and have seen Dr. Maggio twice already. She tackled my daughter's acne problem without any hesitation. She explained the treatment process to us and we feel very confident with it. Angie, the nurse who admitted us into the room was absolutely fabulous. She was so helpful and knew exactly what medications my daughter had and asked if we had any questions or concerns. Our experience was very good overall. Short wait time, easy getting appointments. The only thing is the parking, not so easy to find parking on the street and no validation. read more

I thought I would be in safe hands with Dr. Mehrabi because I appreciated that he always commented back on reviews and tried to do right by patients, but I now feel it is more for the image of the company than for actually caring about the people he sees. I did not have a positive experience. He just cared about getting rid of side effects but did not care to get me tested to ensure I was being diagnosed properly by him. He is efficient, but does not have bedside manners. I felt he just wanted me in and out. I would say he is a good doctor, but with so many doctors in the world being good isn't enough for me. Went for the first time and met with Dr. Maggio at Encino. Loved the doctor, she was very pleasant, patient, attentive. However, the staff is very unpleasant. They do not trust patients and treat everyone with suspicion. As a result they collect fees upfront. However, how they go about it is very unconventional. In the middle of appointment with Dr. Maggio, while I was half-naked on the table, the nurse came in and said they need a payment upfront before the doctor can do the procedure. I had to scramble to cover myself and pull credit card. Shouldn't I wait for insurance to provide discount first? That is how all my other doctors handle!? The nurse said their policy is to collect in advance only. I ended up overpaying for the procedure and when I realized it, I had to call back, I was told it may take up to 30 days to receive a refund. Just be aware.. however Dr. Maggio was great.. but because of the policy and staff and how they made me feel, I will not return. read more

I've been seeing Dr.Mehrabi since 2017 in his old office and since 2018 in Glendale. I've done a minor surgery and multiple visits. My parents are his patients and I have nothing but good things to say about his medical knowledge, caring behavior as a physician, at a personal level. However I'd give zero star to this office patient care if I could. The office management is horrible - Sarah - the manager - doesn't care about their patients and is ready to spend an hour to discredit you and blame the patients for her own mistakes. She won't listen to you no matter what. In my last case, The front desk setup a tentative follow up appointment 6 months ago assuring me that "they will call me again to confirm." They NEVER called me, certainly NEVER confirmed the appointment and still charged me for a missed appointment fee, referring to their own invisible records they setup on their end. It turns out the phone numbers on the records are wrong, they're ALL written by the front desk on the patient info form with obvious different handwriting which can be legally proved and dealt with. The emergency number for instance is only 6 digits! (I got a copy of the form for my own records) The front desk claimed there is no need to complete the form 100% as the info are available on my records from other office. That's how they ended up having old, wrong and incomplete info. Which tells a lot about legitimacy of all their other records! As you can see this is one of many poor reviews about the front desk, the management and appointment setting and cancellation system, which proves that: 1. All complaints are consistent and legit! 2. The management does not correct herself and certainly not passing the concerns to Dr.Mehrabi 3. They're ready to lose loyal patients than fixing a broken system. It's not much about the amount they charge than about the level of unprofessional behavior and money-only mindset that translates to this unbearable attitude of the management. I will continue to try to meet and talk with Dr.Mehrabi to make sure He gets the message. And I'm not going to pay for their mistakes and dishonest behavior.
