I called with an accident and needed a Plan B and the person answering the phone said "no we don't carry that but we have pregnancy tests" and I definitely understood what she was saying and I think that's insanely unprofessional for a person in the role as the front facing of a business to demonstrate their personal/religious opinion. I've been shopping at this bimart for some time, I did not know they allow dogs in the store. I walked in with my dog and continued shopping as I had my items and unfortunately for no reason my dog started to bark at some woman who got close to me. My dog is loving, happy and approachable and never aggressive. She began to bark several times and I scolded her. Then a worker there some jerk guy approached me and said if that was my dog I said yes. He said" If I could not control my dog then I would have to leave the store" I said ok and I walked out leaving all my items on top of the counter. Why in the hell should I purchased anything from that store, if my dog goes then I going too. I don't need to buy anything from this store I will never go in that store again! This is the worst pharmacy and is never open. First of all they aren't open on Saturday and Sunday, while I understand the shortage of workers, pharmaceutical is not something you can ask people to wait 2-3 days for. I had a prescription I was to fill on Friday, they said they couldn't get it done and I would have to wait until Monday. First of all, I was only there because my doctor had written a prescription that was 2 p.o. BID for 28 days. When I told them they only gave me 28 tablets the pharmacist said, "maybe your doctor only wants you to take one a day." You cant interpret what they meant, they needed to clarify with the doctor or ask the patient to ask the doctor to clarify. They can't tell me what they THINK my doctor may have told me, when she clearly wrote 2 tablets a day for 28 days. Essentially my doctor had to write an amended prescription and I went back 2 weeks later. This 2nd prescription was due on a Friday (I wasn't filling early) and now I can't pick it up until Monday. What if my life depended on that med? Not to mention at first the lady tried to play me by saying, "what if you pick up on Monday it'll be cheaper?" WTF?!?!? Why would a different day equate to a different cost? When I called her out and said that's not logical, but honestly I would rather just pick it up that day because I do not plan to fill at this location anymore, "she said they weren't able to fill it due to staff." What is the reasoning behind trying to convince someone they will save money by picking up on another day? Where you know it's poorly run and staffed is by the fact the lady who was clearly to lazy to fill anymore prescriptions on Friday said, "I went ahead and put your prescription in to be filled, that way it's ready first thing Monday." At that point I was over the situation, so I went in at 2:30pm on Monday and it was not filled. Not only was it not filled, but it had not been added to the queue, so I had to wait for it. The icing on the cake is as I sat waiting for my prescription an older lady walks in and just states to herself, "I'm transferring pharmacies, this one is not what it use to be. They are always out of meds and are never open." I looked right at her as I couldn't believe she was literally saying what I was typing. As I commiserated with her we heard them tell one customer they will have to order a prescription and another that they couldn't find their script. This place is a mess, stay away! read more

Well Bi-Mart, where do I start? Bi-Mart is an institution in Oregon and Washington; everyone's heard of it even if they haven't been there. I've actually never owned a Bi-Mart card myself--I've used my mom's or my grandparents'--even though I worked at a Bi-Mart for three years. This one's the flagship store of the chain. Bi-Mart has a little bit of everything. Electronics (probably not photo anymore), housewares, drugs, hardware, sporting goods, groceries, and so on. You can find tennis shoes and hiking boots here, get your hunting license, some provisions, and be off in one stop. They also have some furniture here. I actually really like some of the stuff they sell, and it holds up pretty well; 20 years later I still have some of the bookshelves I bought and I'd have the desk too if it hadn't been given away in a move. Don't forget to stop in for Lucky Number Tuesday! In the three years I worked there I could count on less than one hand the number of folks who won the big prize, so check your number. read more

I'm incredibly disappointed that bi-mart has chosen to sell and contract out the pharmacy. I've been getting meds for my family here for years. I knew all the pharmacy staff and they went the extra mile for me and my disabled son. Now that is been converted to Walgreens I went back to pick up one of my meds only to find all my information had been deleted complete with any prescriptions I'd had. All but one of the staff I remember were gone, and so was any empathy for the situation. The store is still the same and many kind and good people work there but the pharmacy was the reason I went every month. I was told I had to get all new prescriptions, I had to contact all the doctors and jump through hoops, so I did and sent my prescriptions elsewhere. It's not personal it's just that I deserve better and so does my son. read more

The pharmacy screwed up my prescription so many times, from ordering the wrong meds, to somehow to not telling me simple but important things. They failed to contact my doctor multiple times even after they said they did! I have epilepsy and I need my medication without fail, on time, every time or else I have violent seizures. I have been left scared and angry more than once while they scrabble around the pharmacy trying to figure out how and why they messed up. The employees are nice but thats not enough. Last time they screwed up big time, without any warning at the window, they told me I had to pay $1,000 for my monthly meds which are usually covered 100% by my insurance. A little warning would have been nice? I had to frantically call my doctors and try to figure things out for myself because I didn't trust the pharmacy to do it anymore. One more serious problem is that, that there are ALWAYS tweakers in the parking lot all day everyday. They're always standing or camping in the back of the store right up against the fence. ALWAYS. It's scary because im a small woman and they watch me very closely. They usually seem high and/or drunk. Scary. read more

The location is convenient, both by car and bus. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The store is clean and organized. The product is well stocked and I think the pricing is more than fair. They really stand by what they sell. We bought a sleeping bag and went camping. The first time unzipping the Coleman sleeping bag the zipper broke. We finagled it so it worked for the trip but I brought it back upon returning home. I thought I was going to have to argue over no receipt, used product, etc. Nope. I walked in, the girl at the courtesy desk took down some product information, and I walked out with a replacement in under 5 minutes. I have yet to have a poor experience at this location. I use it for everything from Christmas shopping to a quick "oh shoot we ran out of ketchup?!" visits. read more

It is seriously concerning how often the pharmacists lose your prescription refills. My doctor sends in a prescription, the pharmacy claims no knowledge of it, then I have to call my doctor to remind them how to fill a pill bottle. It happens almost every month. Never put your medication on auto-refill, because you'll still have to remind the pharmacists. Aren't they doctors? I would expect a little more competence. read more

BiMart on W. 18th is the most accommodating retail store I've ever shopped at. I'm 77 and they go out of their way to take care of any needs I have. The staff is extremely helpful in the store or on the phone. They have great plants in the spring and fall. The prices are good and product also. read more

Mistakes they've made: -Given me someone else's prescription -Given someone else my medication information -Miscounted 4 of my scripts. After the first one, I counted at the counter, and found errors three other times. -The entire team works over each other, wasting valuable time -Dr. White knows NOTHING about med interactions. Once giving me a medication combo that gave me dystonia (sp?) (( made my tongue inoperable and could have made me choke)) - takes on average DOUBLE the refill time of other pharmacies Absolutely THE WORST PHARMACY I've ever encountered. Greg (tech) seems like he's on another planet, constantly making mistakes. "Dr." White is by far the most egotistical pharmacist I've worked with, and due to my condition I've dealt with a lot. She is condescending, had a MAJOR power-trip, very unprofessional (counsels you as if she's your doctor, in the most degrading way possible). Jackie is great and I feel horrible she has to work with THE worst team on earth. Bi-Mart itself is wonderful, but run... Don't walk, RUN from this horrendously dysfunctional, dishonest, condescending s#!t hole pharmacy. Seriously. If possible:is give it NO stars. read more

The pharmacy here is a JOKE. After taking home a highly protected prescription for my partner, we counted the amount and it came up short. After taking it back to the pharmacy, DR WHITE said it was my fault, and that I probably pocketed them before I got home. I know an old lady who is on oxygen tanks 24/7. She went to the pharmacy to pick up an easy prescription. The tech said it was not ready and that they are filling it, maybe 20 mins max. 45 minutes later, this sweet old lady goes to ask if it is done. The tech said not yet, maybe 20 minutes wait. The lady told the tech that she was running low on oxygen, and needs to get home soon to change it. Another 40 minutes later, she goes up to ask about her prescription. The tech said that they could not fill it today. Did they not notice her waiting? Did they not think to tell her it won't be possible today? Did they think about the consequences of her running out of oxygen? She got home safe, and switched her oxygen tank with about 2% remaining. DO NOT go to this pharmacy. Switch to SavOn on albertsons. They have fixed EVERYTHING that this pharmacy screwed up. Not even kidding. read more

We just had a great experience here. The staff was so friendly. I mean, it's Bi-Mart, right? Not Saks Fifth Avenue. We weren't in there to buy mink coats (nor could we afford them) ... more like vitamins and some skin care products. But they gave us five star service. When we went out to load our stuff in the car we realized ... gulp ... where are the car keys? These employees shined when we went back in and admitted we'd found our keys, alright -- locked inside our car! Right away they let my Mom use the phone up front to contact Triple A & since it was freezing cold out they insisted we wait inside on a nice warm bench. Staff here is VERY helpful, way above average. The shopping cart we bought for $25 came unassembled and there was no way for us to take it home on the bus without first putting it together. So we sat, I and my blind husband, on a bench near check-out wrestling with all the packaging and parts for about five minutes before several of the staff members came up to help. It took three of them 45 minutes and a lot of patience, but they finally presented us with a sturdy finished shopping cart which we still use today and I am forever grateful. I called in an order for a medication. They gave me the wrong medication. The one they gave me was for a medication that had been ordered weeks before, but that I told them I didn't want filled. They have no system for checking that they are giving you the medication you ordered by phone. When I told them that the medication they gave me was not the one I ordered they said "well it is one your doctor has ordered". Talk about not taking responsibility for your mistakes. read more

My experiences with this pharmacy over the past 3 months have been so surreal I had to see what Yelp said, because I thought I might be losing my mind. I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one. After telling the pharmacist/tech/whatever that my doctor was getting frustrated with having to re-FAX everything over a third time, an employee there took it upon themselves to call my doctor (bothering them YET AGAIN) and tell a story about how I had been in earlier that day but rushed off, and it was all my misunderstanding. I had not been there at all (yet), completely bizarre. And yes, it does take 45 minutes to an hour to wait for a prescription as others have noted.On the phone they once listed off to me all the medications someone else with the same last name was taking...my sister-in-law's prescriptions, actually. I wonder who they are discussing my personal information with. Ironically I think the problem here might just be that it is employee owned, actually! Zero accountability to anyone means trouble I guess. I'll acknowledge the staff is pretty darn nice...but y'know they kind of have to be, they are apologizing all day long back there in the pharmacy. Go in there and watch for an hour like I've had to every month, free entertainment and plenty of seating ;) Also lame: only $20 cash back with purchase. Store hours are limited, and coupled with the number of mistakes they make, I've been without my heart meds for as long as a week. If you return something, you have to stand in 2 lines: first the return line, and then you take your slip of paper and go get in the Cash Back line, because, you silly goose, they don't keep cash at the returns/customer service desk! This pharmacy has been absolutely amazing. I switched to them because of the horrible service I received at Safeway. The pharmacist is so caring and explains everything. There is always plenty of staff so the wait it minimal. My medications are always ready when they're supposed to be. I highly recommend this pharmacy. read more
