You know how you go to Costco and you swear you're not gonna get that much this time...(right). I went and looking for a chance to pick up contacts and found Akash in Optical or eyewear exceptionally knowledgeable and professional. He was very helpful in helping me assess my options. The staff there ran operations very smoothly, somebody explained that there were no more take a number of options but we scanned the QR code to be put into line. Then based on what we selected in terms of why we were there, different staff people approached us streamlining operations and reducing wait time. It was when I decided to weigh my options by wandering the warehouse that I got into trouble. Did you know that they carry both Maldon salt flakes as well as Celtic salt flakes? Celtic salt is known to be the most nutrient dense salt. Maldon tub was only nine dollars and the Celtic salt flakes were under five dollars. There was no way not to take those home. In my current situation a kitchen is not an option so for the first time ever I picked up the microwavable rice as well as the dried salted seaweed, and the kimchi. Each of those were a matter of sheer convenience. But it was Larry, one of the stalkers who saw me trying to hold everything in my arms and dropping things here and there that asked me very politely and probably with a bit of a knowing smile if I needed a cart. I told him I did not want to. He said he understood and then proceeded to tell me he would secure one for me if I would like. I knew he was right. I really appreciated his attentiveness and the humor with which he understood my situation as one of the thousands who decide every time they're in Costco that they're just not gonna buy as much... And then change our minds because the deals are so good. The ladies who are at checkout worked so well together. They had a great sense of humor and it was nice to engage people in a good mood. Then I unexpectedly remembered that I had something in my trunk that I was planning to return the next time I was at Costco. The guy at returns was very efficient and friendly: helpful. He was really easy-going and thoughtful and made the line move quickly. The caliber of staff at Costco was just superlative today. It was a fun experience at Costco again -- even if I didn't get what I originally came for I got what really made me feel the trip was worth well anyway. Thanks Costco. Thank you Larry. First of all, the parking is a nightmare, but it's expected since it's Costco. The door greeters on entrance and exit are fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming. They've got great selections and many of the same items, so if you go for one particular thing, you'll be almost sure they'll have it. They're pretty good at keeping their shelves stocked. Everything has a great price and you're almost certain you're getting a fair deal. I just wish there was more than one Costco for our area. read more

I must give Costco only one star for only one reason. Costco, with its' thousands of shoppers each week, has only FOUR CARTS FOR THE DISABLED CUSTOMERS. Anyone who has shopped at Costco knows, beyond question, that is absolutely inadequate. I have waited over one hour for a cart to be free so that I could begin shopping. When I asked the very polite Costco manager why there were only four carts, he replied that their corporate office's POLICY was to only give Costco stores four carts. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A CUSTOMER WHO IS FORCED TO WAIT FOR OVER AN HOUR BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN TO SHOP? The disabled population is similar enough to the able bodied population to enjoy all the wonderful things Costco offers. However, complaining to our local Costco about this problem is fairly useless. About all he or she can do is pass the complaint on to Costco's corporate management who makes the policy and can change it. Remember, the disabled population needs help. Our company took an offer at our Eugene Oregon store to merge out Primo water subscription through Costco. The savings sounded great and it was the same trucks that always brought our drinking water. Sadly, that is where the story goes off the rails. The order kept growing even when we went on-line and made corrections. So, after some difficulty cancelling the account, we paid the final bill. Now, 6 months later we find we are in collections and we are told at Primo we owe no $$ - the collection dept. says we owe no $$ - but no one can tell us or Collection Bureau of America how to remove the account!!! Costco represents quality products. You need to know your prices as some of them can be beat but they have great meats and veggies. We love to get the Kirkland brand lasagnes to have on hand in case of last minute guests. It is always a hit! Great quality in everything from clothing to vitamins. Going to Costco is a known quantity. You gladly maneuver the crowded aisles, load up with good values and questionable quantities and then queue up for the damage to your debit card. Your reward for running the Costco gauntlet is a final stop at the snack bar. An oversized hot dog and a soda for a buck fifty, a slice for a couple bucks or the chicken bake for four. So what gives with the newest item, the roast beef sandwich for $10? Surely it must be something amazing if your club member price for this single sammy is about what you'd pay for an entire pizza or 6.66 hot dogs and sodas. The menu describes the sandwich as follows: "loaded with sliced roast beef, onion relish, mayo/mustard blend, lettuce, roasted cherry tomatoes, red onions on an artisan roll (790 cal.)" The sandwich is big enough (for two average appetites) to share. There's a lot going on flavor wise between the onion relish, mayo and mustard. This almost gives (hides) what should be the star flavor of the show, the roast beef, a supporting role. It's also a somewhat messy sammy...grab extra napkins. It's gonna get sticky. Would I order this again? No. And no disrespect to the Artisans (of the artisan roll guild) but the picture on the menu makes the sandwich look much better than what you get... But, if I did order it again, I would hold the onion relish and ask for extra roasted tomatoes. Can you "get it your way" at the Costco snack bar? Hmmm, probably not. And now back to your regularly scheduled Costco dog and a soda for a buck fifty. We had to go to Eugene to drop off spouse at the airport. So we decided to stop at Costco and fill up gas tank plus we needed to go in and shop before heading back home which is 2 and a half hours away. We are here early like 1 and a half before they open. We are sitting in parking lot and get hassled by the security. We are doing nothing but waiting until doors open minding are business and she is baby sitting for us and giving us dirty looks. I'm sorry but we come to this Costco when in the area very often and spend $300-$500 every trip. Very uncomfortable specially when we're not doing anything wrong. read more

On 11/1/25 I came to Costo's auto/tire center as my tire would not hold air. It was closing time, and they could have sent me home, but the very kind and professional team (Caleb and Jacob) stayed past closing to ensure my tire was fixed properly and I was back on the road again. They were clearly busy working on other vehicles, but I so much appreciated their professionalism in staying late. They functioned like a well-oiled team and even showed me the drill bit that was stuck in the tire causing the leak. Costco is the only place I go for new tires, not just because I get a good deal on tires, but because the auto team provides consistently good service. read more

This Costco is pretty much busy af open to close every day. It's a total zoo. The service here has been hit and miss. Mostly good but I have had a couple of people be rude about returns. I get it, the return policies have changed. That doesn't mean you have to be rude and condescending about it. The value and selection is on par with most other Costco's. Today - 1/28/2026 - My wife was coming home from the coast and pulled into the Eugene, Costco to get fuel as she only had a few miles left before being on empty. She gave the gas attendant her card and he stated that she needed the new Costco card before she could get fuel there. I have seen Costco attendants use their card when people forget their cards and fuel them up. They refused letting my wife fuel up so she had to leave the gas station and find another before she ran out of fuel. Unfortunately, she ran out of fuel which compromised her security. This really upsets me and just states that Costco is there for the money only and doesn't give a damn about their customers. I'll be talking to Jeremy their GM over this issue and why they put my wife in a dangerous situation. So thank you to the Costco in Eugene for everything you don't do. These amazing employees stayed and helped my daughter through a seizure by catching her fall preventing a head injury and got her to the floor safely. They checked her airway then after that checked her smart watch for any information on her health and then found my phone number. I received the call living 500 miles away yesterday but even though I couldn't be there Julia and Kelli were calm and asked me all the right questions while staying with my daughter holding her hand and keeping her comfortable until ambulance arrived. They were consistently rude (I came and went a couple times today) when I said I don't have a current membership and was getting pizza and an eye exam. Costco has many services that don't require membership. Did they think I was going to walk out with a big boxed item? ‍ Total bummer. I love a good Costco and this is a good Costco. I usually go around 7pm to avoid the crowd and it's pretty easy to navigate around. The employees are always friendly and the store is clean. I've yet to have a problem finding anything and the prices are always good. The gas station is also great, the prices there are lower than anywhere else in Eugene. read more

For the prices yes very competitive especially for the area I'm from, just for a few slices of chicken breast from my local grocery store being $15 for a pack versus $23-$25 for nearly 8 pounds of chicken at Costco definitely worth the drive and very friendly employees, quick at their jobs, also love it's a one stop shop all experience. Unfortunately, I myself can't enjoy the food, but both of my children love their hotdogs. I hope they can get King Arthur flour in a larger quantity bag I am a avid sourdough everything baker and kvass fermentation brewer, and if there's possibility that that comes to their store, I will be a lifelong customer lol unless there's another really high-end quality flour that I don't know about for making fermented bread and in return, turning into fermented beverages. Also, many things are BobbyApproved. of which is an app on the iPhone store, or Google for all of those health, conscious individuals such as myself. Value is obvious. Selection isn't necessarily the best. After all, even a huge warehouse can't hold all the items sold in the world. There are certain items we always get at Costco. It even has its own section of the shopping list. I won't say what since everybody has different needs and wants. Go, find if your favorite is there at a great price, then buy it. Downside can be the long lines at check out, but if you've got plenty of free time on your hands (retired, unemployed, work the night shift), you can find times when you can zip right through. read more

But once inside, what can be said. The store seems always to be well organized and fairly clean. But, the best part is the food court. My favorite pizza is from here. If you call ahead it should be ready when you arrive. But, be prepared to stand in a long line to pay. What stood out at this particular Costco was the excellent customer service in both the photo section as well as the service desk itself. The employees went out of their way to be sure my questions were answered and even took another pic of my shopping companion for her membership card when she explained she felt the one she was using was out dated. This Costco has self check-out, which is not an option at my home store (#127 in Carson City) and it's a much better experience for those of us who want to get in and out. It's a Costco and tics most of the boxes. The gas line was long (which is typical for Oregon.) Only thing I don't understand is why they don't mark their aisles like Sam's Club and BJ's do - I crave consistency and knowing where stuff is, and I'm always disappointed I have to hunt around for where stuff got moved. Only consistent thing is that water is always in the far back corner at any Costco I've been to. read more

I've been shopping at this Costco for years now, and I have some long-lost relative working here, although I never see her there anymore, so I don't know if she is still there or not. My biggest complaints are the parking lot sucks, and could stand to be a lot bigger. Customers just wander out into traffic, not bothering to see if there are cars coming through. They either drive 5 mph, or 45 mph through the lot, and there's no in-between. One extreme or the other. Customers are assholes too. I went in on crutches several times. Once having to walk, as a scooter thing wasn't available, and people just ran into me, or ran around me because they were so impatient. I was able to use the scooter another time, and everyone I passed who was pushing a cart just stared at me. My knee brace was under my jeans and not visible, and the door greeter had my crutches. Every single person who stared at me was obviously judging me for using the scooter. The staff is so-so. Some are great, some aren't. If you shop there enough, you kind of figure out who's an asshole and who isn't. I do like the fact they have an HP sales representative in the electronics section to help customers. I buy HP products almost exclusively (I just call my brother and he deals with it for me) but if I were a standard consumer buying their products in a store, I would come to Costco simply for the fact there's an actual HP employee there to help, and you can get firsthand knowledge and assistance. Selection is usually pretty good, and they carry most of their products consistently, but some can be hit and miss. I love the Kirkland line of pet foods, and my brother does as well. We feed all of our pets that brand. I also enjoy the Kirkland mesquite spice rub, but that's one of those hit and miss products that aren't always stocked consistently. Cat litter prices are the best around. I only buy mine here. Will I return? Of course. I typically just send my brother to the store, so I don't have to deal with the ridiculous customers and insane lines. But if you can get around those things and actually find a place to park, and don't mind spending 30 minutes in line to checkout once you're done shopping, it's a nice store and I know they treat their employees well and are paid quite nicely as well. I like supporting this store far better than Wal-Mart. read more

First off I love Costco, what I was very upset by an older woman there Casey, working at the entrance and exit. When my family was leaving Costco the people at self checkout gave my son an additional receipt paper with a smiley face. Our daughter had the sale receipt and was ready to hand it to the exit person in this case a lady named Casey in a grey puffy sweater but she wasn't looking at our daughter just our sons paper and she abruptly just yanked it out of his hands. Got my wife one of those chicken and bacon pockets from the hot food section, brought it home and after she ate over half of it we discovered a long brown hair baked into the bread. Disgusting. We did all our shopping and we're waiting a half hour in line to check out and the person checking the cards checked and it was my mothers card, I was shopping for her because she was sick and needed groceries and the manager informed me she needed to be there in person and wouldn't even work with me and let it slide the one time and made me leave without being able to check out and I had to go shopping somewhere else to get the things she needed. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I recommend going somewhere else and save your money on a membership and your time. read more

I went here last night. Every single time I come here they always triple check my receipt. I bought three items and they were all clearly visible. But when I go to leave the store the person who checks receipts was triple checking my reciept, looking my cart up and down, looking all around. She was really making sure I didn't steal anything. Keep in note as a person of color this gets really tiring. I felt like it was because of how I looked. Once she was done I walked away and looked back and she was not even looking at people's receipts just signing them off. Everyone else was able to leave quickly. Costco Eugene humiliated my elderly mother in front of a crowd of people because she 'bounced a check', when in reality she had paid the bill and their records didn't show that or they weren't able to understand that fact. Her bank account info was caught up in the Equifax scandal and they couldn't update their credit card record after she needed to close that account. Costco staff should be ashamed of themselves and need to think about what they're doing and how they are treating people instead of being heartless automatons. read more

To place an order, I'd need to come into the store, in the middle of a pandemic, just to place the order that could happen safely over the phone.
