Hey, color me surprised that I haven't ever reviewed this Nordstrom Rack. I was so excited when Eugene FINALLY got a NR. This is just about the only place I buy shoes and always make a stop here when I'm in town to see if they have anything I can't live without. Most recently I visited to buy a new pilot's bag. The crew was friendly and efficient. It was easy to find what I needed and the store was clean and organized. It doesn't always seem to have as much merchandise as other Nordstrom Rack stores I've been to, but it's worth a stop. read more

The second stop one hour just graduate from college and you need some new clothes for summer tour continues with Nordstrom's rack. Great store with a lot of cool finds. This one is set up a little bit different than the one in Henderson, but still all cool with good stuff to sift through. read more

Who doesn't love a good deal?! Like women's Nike shoes for $55. That's what I love about this store. I find great deals. It's actually my go-to place for shoes, especially for my husband. I've found great deals on Nike shoes here, as well as many other things. I've bought Coach sunglasses for around $55 as well. Even at the outlet mall in Woodburn, they're $75. So it's not only cheaper, but I'm saving on trip expenses as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've learned if what you're looking for isn't on the shelf, they don't have it in stock. But you can order it online for the same price and have it delivered to your house. Which isn't a big deal to me. I like that it's still available. Prices are fantastic and so is the selection. My husband loves Nike and I'm in love with Coach items. This is the place we can find both for great prices and not go wrong. I recently bought him Nike shoes and a belt, for less than $100 together. I've never really paid much attention to their clothing selection, simply because when I go in, I have something specific in mind and don't wander from that purpose. So I don't have much of an opinion on that area of the store. For shoes and accessories, this is the perfect store for me! I came in a couple of months ago but I remember everything like it was yesterday. Rhea was GREAT she went above and beyond to help me. I was so stressed out about finding some clothes for interviews. My body has changed so much after having 2 kids and I was very overwhelmed with finding something that would suit and Rhea honestly just really helped me and chose a couple of things out for me that made me so much more confident! Sweet, Nordstrom has acknowledged our existence at last, albeit with a Rack store. If, like me, you had never been to one before, imagine a more upscale TJ MAXX, with high quality clothing at prices comparable to Macy's. The store includes Men's fashion, Women's fashion, some clothing for children, a very small plus size section consisting of about four racks, a sizeable shoe department for both men and women, a cosmetics and jewelry area, and luggage. Since I have a Nordstrom credit card, I was lucky enough to get an invitation for their 'private event' pre-opening this afternoon, with drinks and snacks like savory cream puffs and interesting grain and vegetable chips. There are plenty of people with Nordstrom credit cards here in town though, so the place was quite busy. Fortunately they had mobile pay stations set up to make check-out go much faster. The store, in the old Borders' building, no longer opens up to the indoor mall, which seems like an error in judgment since many customers will want direct access to the courtyard restaurants, instead of having to walk around the entire building in the rain. They did a great remodel though and the bright white makes the store seem much more spacious than usual. They're well stocked for the opening too, and I suspect they'll re-stock between the pre-opening and the real opening. I saw a lot of cute shoes and boots, and went home with three pairs, all under $50, a steal for the quality. We got some really nice belts for my husband as well, and a couple of beautiful shirts. We'll definitely be back, though it's too bad about them closing that back opening. Still, nice to have a more upscale department store in town, especially since our Macy's has a pitiful selection compared to large cities. Welcome, Nordstrom! read more

I love Nordstrom's Rack, and this place is more of the same. And the "same" is damn good! This store isn't the biggest Rack, but it contains the same high-end variety of clothes, shoes and accessories for men and women. (Note that I didn't see any kids' items here, and the accessory and mens' sections were on the small side). This store is well-organized and has a decent selection of goods. The lady working the fitting rooms was extremely friendly and nice, and the dressing rooms themselves were clean and spacious. Usually Rack prices are still on the high side (even discounted designer brand prices are high, I find) but if you can find items on clearance here, on TOP of their discount prices, then it's definitely worth one's while to check out the racks here. For instance, I found some Steve Madden platform shoes on clearance for $31. Killer shoes. Unbelievable price. Who can argue that? read more

The store is laid out nicely, and though it's smaller than what I am used to, I actually like that. Found a great pair of shoes and a really cute sweater and loved the fact that being in Oregon I didn't have to pay sales tax. :) There's easy parking in the lot right out front. The sales staff is super nice and there to help you with anything that you need. I don't remember seeing any kids stuff so if that's what you're shopping for don't come here. read more

I come in here a lot. On days when I need escape from work life, I like to come in to Nordstrom Rack and look around. If you come here frequently, that's how you can get the best deals, because you never know what new product they will be getting in! Nordstrom Rack has pretty much everything clothing and accessory-wise that you could need: pajamas, exercise apparel, outerwear, jewelry, bags, shoes, and more. And oh, the shoes. I've gotten Tory Burch, Jack Rogers, and Marc Jacobs shoes here before. If there's something I've bought here more than anywhere else, it would be shoes. They have a good selection, and if you don't see what you like at this particular location, you can always order something on Nordstromrack.com, which has a wider selection. Say that pair of shoes you ordered from the website doesn't fit? No big deal; you can bring them here to return, and there's a 90 day return policy. My latest trip here was unplanned. I was out doing errands and grocery shopping, and my umbrella broke. And of course since it's Eugene, a torrential downpour started. Rather than risk the chance of my purse getting ruined from the rain, I stopped in here before I headed over to Trader Joe's to look for an umbrella. And sure enough, they had a variety of umbrellas to choose from! I ended up getting a good quality umbrella here for $12.99, whereas the cheapest umbrellas across the way at Bed, Bath and Beyond were $18.99. Not to mention, my new green chevron print umbrella is far cuter than the plain black ones at BBB. In a city with a sad excuse for a mall (the Valley River Center, that is), this is one of the few places where you can get good quality clothes, shoes, accessories, and more. read more

This store is trying to be a discount store. They only forgot one thing. Discounts. They have poor selection of the brands I buy, but when I find something I like, they have marked it up above retail price, then taken off 10% or something like that. Who would I recommend this store to? Nobody. You would do better to go to Ross. read more

I was at this location and having a WONDERFUL day. That is, until I met Abbie. I had just finished shopping (found so many amazing things btw) and headed up to the cash register to purchase my findings. I am waiting, and a light appears. It's my turn. I'm minutes away from walking home with all of my new items. I walk up to the register. I exchange pleasantries with the cashier (Abbie) to the best of my abilities to no avail. She pointed out how upbeat and happy I was. I told her I was moving up here and was super excited! It was a beautiful day and I was excited for what it might hold. In response I was met with " its only 11 a.m., don't get your hopes up. There's still a lot of day left." This exchange left a sour taste in my mouth. I would hope that anyone else who visits this location might enter with a grain of salt, as the employees seem to not care about their guests or their jobs. Please do better. read more

Bought my first suit here. Got a really good deal and the in-house alterations were done very quickly. Everyone there was very helpful, friendly and the whole thing ended up being a really great deal. Seems to be a pretty great store, though I haven't looked around too much. read more

I just had the worst interaction with Arnold, store manager over the phone. I spend a huge amount of money at this store every month and I purchased a pair of shoes for one of my employees. The shoes didn't fit him so I sent him back to the store to exchange them. Next thing you know I get a call from him at the store letting me know that they will not allow exchange of the shoes. They said it was because he did not have a receipt. When I spoke to Arnold the manager on the phone I let him know I would gladly provide my Nordstrom card over the phone and he could handle a exchange of the shoes. He let me know that I had to drive all the way out to the store with card present in order to Exchange the shoes. This is not the Nordstrom premium brand that I'm used to. This type of service really frustrates me. Especially being a business owner that's all about customer service and making it easy on the client. This guy had no lenience at all. If was the Nordstrom company I would definitely let this team member go. Or at least let his manager go who is creating this type of totally non-lenient low quality customer service. I'm honestly thinking about canceling my Nordstrom card tomorrow. read more

I love this store. Myself, my friends and family all shop here exclusively. Everything we need, quality and price is unbeatable. Everything is a score and new merchandise comes in everyday. I got a Nordstrom's credit card that makes me LUCKY! I get points, coupons and notices whenever I shop. I shop Nordstrom rack occasionally, this store can be limited on the men's section. What they do have is a lot of the same type of clothing and brands but not a huge variety. Prices are ok as well but a little high for such a store. Other locations are better for men, this one is just OK. For women you have 80 percent of the store but go figure, women like to shop. read more

It's really a hit or miss for me at Nordstrom Rack. Most times I leave empty handed or I take a look at the line and decide not to bother. I think it's a great addition to Eugene but the selection could be better. All of the employees are very sweet though. read more

Excellent store with outstanding merchandise at cut-rate prices. Staff are professional and courteous. There is one glaring problem. Women are allowed into ALL dressing rooms. However men are excluded from certain ones. This is bad. This is gender stereotyping and a total disregard for the rights of men. Simply stay in your dressing room and there are no privacy issues to worry about. Nordstrom's take heed: you need to implement gender equal and all access dressing rooms with the idea of privacy/security for all. Men are not second class citizens. You will eventually face litigation issues at some point if this is not corrected. Otherwise keep up the good work. read more

Great place to shop! Clean, Friendly and huge selections. Prices are higher then Ross and other stores, but its a Nordstrom Rack for a reason. You will always get the best quility and if it doesnt work out, easy fast returns. Unlike most stores. Never big lines since anyone in a green shift can ring you up anywhere in the store. I was so pleased when I heard that we were finally getting Nordstrom even if it is just a rack store but since visiting my opinion has changed. Nordstrom Rack typically carries items that have been pulled from an actual Nordstrom store (basically clearance) but I think this Rack is getting the rejects from Portland's Rack stores. This Nordstrom Rack isn't even carrying last season's fashions, more like last year's. I think I will just continue making my seasonal trek to Portland rather than shop for outdated trendss. read more

Like many others, I am delighted that we now have a local Nordstrom Rack at Oakway. I love finding good labels at heavily discounted prices, and have shopped there several times since it opened. However, the check-out system leaves a lot to be desired. They advertised no lines, but that is not true. With four checkouts for the entire store, I have waited in line every single time I have been there. Yesterday, two people doing returns tied up the line. A salesperson came and got the last person in line to ring up, the last person, not the first. One waiting customer became incensed over this practice, and I don't blame her. I think I will avoid the Rack during the holidays unless they fix the check-out system. It is not adequate for the size of the store. Or perhaps they could take returns at another counter. read more
