For my 900th review, I wanted to give a special shout out to a vendor that made a very special day for us that much more memorable. We were given a list of photographer recommendations by our wedding coordinator. And after much deliberations, we finally opted for Bianca Photography after seeing all of her finished results on social media, along with all of her rave reviews from past clients. As this was a destination wedding for us, all of our communications were primarily via email. Bianca was always very responsive and helpful in her replies, which definitely gave us a lot of reassurance during a very hectic time in which so much planning, coordination, and decisions needed to be made. On the actual day of, Bianca and her team worked tirelessly through a grueling half day session taking endless photos for various group photos, attire changes, a tea ceremony, reception dinner, and of course, the actual wedding ceremony itself. Bianca was our photographer for our wedding at the Kahala, and she was amazing. We were super happy with how our photos came out. Prior to our wedding day, we gave her our photo list. I also spoke with her on the phone to coordinate where we were meeting for first looks. Every time I emailed or spoke with her, she was very friendly and positive. Bianca has done many weddings at the Kahala, and definitely knows where the photos spots are. She took many shots of the two of us at different locations. I was impressed by how she and her assistant, Jason, also coordinated our many family photos. We had a lot of large family photo combinations, but Bianca and Jason worked fast to get everyone into position for the photos and made sure everyone looked good in the photos. She gave us the full set of photos 2.5 months after our wedding which was really fast, and we were blown away while viewing and reminiscing over our wedding. My husband Mark and I got married at the Turtle Bay on October 2011, and we hired Bianca as our Photographer, and could not have been more happy with our choice. First able, Bianca was very responsive with to all our question leading up to the wedding ( The same was not true with many others that we were working with to organize our wedding). The wedding day itself went very smothly, and even though the weather on our wedding day was not always ideal, Bianca and her assistance always got to capture the best shoot. Just visit her website and her work speak for itself. As for Bianca, she was a true professional, and very fun to work with, she takes the stress out of your shoulders. She even accomodated my father-In law, who is an amateur photographer to tag alone, and take photos with her after the ceremony. I would give Bianca photography 10 stars if I could!! Bianca photography specializes in mainly wedding photography. In December 2010 my best friend got married and as a bridesmaid, I met the talented Bianca Gomes. She made taking the wedding pictures so much fun and she was very personable - some very important qualities in a photographer, if you ask me. Also, once I saw her pictures, I really saw how she was not like a "typical" photographer. None of the pictures appeared staged or the boring poses you see around. Fast forward to May 2012. My boyfriend of 5 years and I get engaged a week before we are heading out to Hawaii for vacation with friends (my parents happen to live there, long story). The day we got engaged, I emailed Bianca to see if she had any time available to do engagement pictures during our stay in Hawaii. She got back to me immediately and asked where we wanted to take pictures. We decided on pictures at sunset. She got back to me and said she had one time slot and we booked. So now for the whole time we are in Hawaii I have to listen to my fiancé complain about these stupid engagement pictures and why do we have to take them etc etc. I'll come back to this later... We met with Bianca at Secret Beach in Ko'Olina. We spent about an hour and a half taking pictures on the beach and then right around 7 we got in place for the sunset shots. Bianca was so methodical in making sure we staked out that spot because boy does that area get crowded for sunset! If we didn't get there when we did, we would be taking pictures with 50 strangers in the background. So we finished taking pictures, paid her and she said the CD would be sent out in a couple weeks. A couple days later she posted one picture on Facebook. Coincidentally, I got the notification minutes before we were leaving Hawaii for the mainland. My jaw dropped!! The picture was absolutely stunning and unlike anything I had ever seen. At that time my fiancé was eating his previous words (err complaints). She kept posting new pictures on Facebook and her website so it was exciting to get new pictures before getting the CD. Bianca had corresponded with me this whole time and had emailed me when the CD was sent out. We received the CD and couldn't be happier! The CD had 121 pictures and were all one of a kind! Bianca really has a talent that sets her apart!! Not to put down other photographers but I have never seen such original, creative and beautiful photography. Along with that she has an amazing personality and throughout the whole process I felt as though I was talking with an old friend . My main regret about not getting married in Hawaii is that Bisnca can't take our wedding photos. Highly highly recommend! read more

I knew Bianca as a colleague from work and when she showed me her work I was very excited to work with her. We did a maternity shoot and a newborn shoot and let me tell you, DO NOT work with her. Firstly if you send her any messages, she will not respond to you and probably block you. I paid her half of the amount and as of three months I still did not receive any of my family photos. My sister used her for her wedding in 2010, my brother/sister-in-law used her to take her pictures when she turned 1 (2011), and so it made sense for me to use her in 2012. When it was time for me to select the photographer I just asked my sister and she recommended Bianca Photography because of her great work. I didn't even look at other photographers, I just hired Bianca on the spot. My sister's had only good things to say about her work, professionalism, creative ideas, and great at capturing moments. Our first photo-shoot which was for our engagement photo's on a nice sunny day in July. Bianca told us where to stand and how to position our bodies for that perfect shot. She made use look very good in the pictures and for that, I thank her! We both were extremely satisfied with the pictures we received and even used some of the shots for out guest book and slide show. Let's just say my wife is very particular with things and when she likes something, that means it's good. Finally, our wedding day game! She first took us to the front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village (corner of Ala Moana/Kalia Rd). I had no idea we were going here, but photo's she took of us and the wedding party was amazing. One picture I really enjoyed was when she took a shot of my niece (flower girl) and my wife together. That shot is something I'll never forget. Another reason why I think she has a creative mind is when we were walking pass the benihana wheel, she told us to stop. She then took a bunch of photo's in front of the water wheel and those shots came out great! When it was finally time for the ceremony, the great shots kept coming. One shot I really like was when she actually got on the ground and used her fish eye lens. That shot was probably one of the most memorable ones of the ceremony and what makes it better is that it was shot at the Ocean Crystal Palace. During our reception, she was very thorough in making sure we got a picture with all of our guests and we accomplished it! What I think makes her such a great photographer is that she stayed beyond what her contract requirements. I think that speaks volume on character and professionalism. Bianca Photography is hands-down one of the best photographers on the island. We worked with Grant and were just absolutely amazed with our experience. A husband/wife team - they came highly recommended from the venue and our wedding coordinator, Lissa Crighton. I immediately started following them on Instagram and fell in love with their style and beauty of their photos. We weren't able to meet in person with Grant prior to our March 2015 wedding, but it didn't really matter. Grant was extremely communicative over email and phone. Our first phone call, Grant was very easy to talk to and helped me iron out my plan for what photos we wanted. He also took a look at our timeline and reassured me that we definitely had time for the shots I wanted. He also gave me several helpful tools that they use (family shot templates, reminders of what people need to bring) prior to my wedding that really helped organize my wedding party and family. They also worked seamlessly with my wedding coordinator, Lissa, which took a lot of stress off of a busy bride. The day of the wedding, Grant and his assistant really stuck to our schedule which helped ensure we got certain must have shots pre-wedding. Right after the ceremony, he asked if I wanted a group shot. It wasn't planned, but with everyone kind of standing together, he thought he could get the shot. He immediately started setting up and quite quickly managed to wrangle 130 people for an oceanside shot. For our wedding party and couples shots, he was very good at directing us without being too pushy, giving very minor suggestions on certain shots. When we went out on the ocean wall rocks, he definitely checked on us to make sure we were comfortable with the uneven rocks (I was barefoot!). While we're still waiting for the bulk of the photos, the sneak peek photos are absolutely amazing. Throughout the rest of the wedding, they got some great shots of the reception. Every time we posed for a selfie or for someone to take a picture, Grant or his assistant magically appeared, getting shot after shot. I will mention budget since potential brides always ask about it - Bianca Photography is definitely worth every penny. Our budget was $2500 for photography and we definitely came in around that number. We looked at options both more expensive and less expensive and found that Bianca Photography's was the right balance of budget and quality for us. (Keep in mind price depends on package, so always inquiry with the vendor directly!) We couldn't be happier with our experience and have no doubt that the final results will be breathtaking!!! Bianca and her husband were photography dream team we'd hoped for. They were there in the morning for "behind the scenes" shots, and stayed with us all the way through the ceremony and reception, to beach photos at sunset. Bianca was our photographer for our engagement photo shoot at Byodo In Temple. She has an amazing ability to capture the most beautiful pictures.
