My now husband and I made a game time decision to elope in Hawaii 12 days before we left to vacation back home in Oahu for 2 weeks. We were so lucky Brandon was available! From the first text,... we knew Brandon was our people. His witty comments, his funny & caring demeanor, let alone his talent, solidified that he was perfect. He was willing to accommodate any of our hair brained ideas and when we did our site visit at Ko'Olina the day before our ceremony, both my husband and I had a gut feeling it didn't feel right. Too crowded, too many tourists, so few intimate spaces where the two of us could make our day just ours. In a heartbeat, I asked Brandon, "If you were to get married tomorrow anywhere on the island, where would YOU do it?" Brandon selected a spot with the caveat... "It's a bit treacherous to get there, but totally worth the shot...and I've never lost a bride there yet!" Hahaha. Sounded good, we were in. We implicitly trusted him and can I say... WOW! While searching Family photographers on Oahu for an upcoming family vacay, I was searching thru both yelp and instagram because of course, when booking a photographer, it is not just the pictures that matter, but the overall experience lf working w the photographer as well. Booked a family shoot (mom, dad, toddler, baby and gma and gpa) and could not have been happier with the overall experience. Brandon is easy to communicate with and even easier to get along with in-person. I have worked with multiple photographers in the past (wedding, family photos) and Brandon is, by far, one of my faves! We told him of what specific shots we were looking for, and he made sure to get them all during the shoot and then some. With a sassy toddler and a potentially moody baby, we did an early morning shoot in Ko'olina and Brandon was EXCELLENT with my kids. My daughter was all about it and super responsive to Brandon - and we all know, kids either like you or they dont - but she LOVED him. He was playful with her and just kept on shooting - which i especially appreciated, because he was able to catch a lot of candid shots that ended up perfect! I would enthusiastically recommend Brandon as a photographer for any event. Let me start by saying that my now husband has been a photographer for over 20 years and was very specific is what he was looking for in a photographer for our big day. We were looking for someone with warmth, and a non-cookie cutter style, attention to detail, with an appreciation of light, shadows, and textures in photos. We wanted someone to capture the moments that others may overlook in the haste to check all the standard shots off some preconceived list. We also knew we had a couple of challenges that only a seasoned photographer would be able to overcome including the intimate size of our venue and the tricky lighting presented by our sunset ceremony with floor to ceiling glass windows and a mirror backdrop, and low lighting once the sun had set. Brandon's talent shone through as he and his teammate easily overcame these hurdles. He has such a warm, easy-going, and hilariously fun energy that made the day even more enjoyable. He was always open to any ideas we had for shots. He was able to seamlessly blend in with our guests and put them at ease in order to get those candid moments that are absolutely priceless. He was also able to capture those big moments between bride and groom without sacrificing or disrupting our guests' experience. We were so impressed by how fast he got our photos to us. My sister in law hired brandon for a family photo shoot and i loved his vibe and how the photos turned out. Fast forward a year later and we needed someone to take our maternity photos. Brandon first came to mind and he was so easy to contact and was very responsive and flexible with the scheduling. I was on the fence about even having maternity photos taken since i had a rough pregnancy and just felt ugly and gross. We were going to be in Oahu, Hawaii for the first time for my fiancé's birthday and thought why not take our engagement photos there! Found Brandon on yelp and read all the great and positive reviews he had. I visited his website and he had an extensive amount of photos in his portfolio. I loved how he had a lot of "action shots" instead of awkward hand/body placement shots. I inquired via email and he got back to me within hours. He was extremely helpful. It was our first time in Hawaii and doing a photo shoot so we had no idea where and when to take pictures. Luckily, he was very knowledgeable and picked the time and place for us. To book with Brandon, no deposit was required and all you needed to do was sign a contract he emails you - SUPER EASY! He accepted all forms of e-payments (Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc) on the day of your shoot. We paid via Venmo after our shoot. We originally booked our shoot to be on a Wednesday but decided to push the date up to the Sunday before (because we didn't wanna be extremely burnt in our pictures from the sun after being in Hawaii for a few days). Brandon was flexible and was able to change our date for us two weeks before we were scheduled to meet! On the day of the shoot, he was punctual, approachable and incredibly funny! He immediately made us feel so comfortable and we just met! He shot us at different areas on the same beach and made it look like we traveled to different places! We literally got back from our one week vacation yesterday and he sent us our pictures last night!!! YES - exactly SEVEN days from the day of our shoot for me to get my pictures. UNHEARD OF!!!! And he threw in a slideshow of my pictures that played a beautiful wedding song as the background music (nice touch!). I've literally watched the video 10x already and cried every time.
