I can't say I was very impressed with the Boxing Day sale this year (Dec 2018), when I went two years ago I got some great deals. We arrived at 06:45am to an already almost packed car park. By 9am we were done and ready to go home, people arriving were being turned around as the overflow car park was filled so they were being bused from the park and ride car park way down the road. Bed smart, arrive ridiculously early. Especially if you want Gucci or Prada deals. The queues were already mental before the shops opened. Other than that, some great stores, and have your passport ready for VAT refund services available on the same day you buy all your goodies, don't wait until the airport! read more

I love Bicester Village! If you love a discount mall as much as I do, Bicester will definitely become your fave too! They have great designers - everything from Gucci to Céline. I hit a few when I was there but by far the best was Max Mara! They had soooo much stock and everything was very well priced! I also love the way they have designed the mall - it's all outside, very beautiful and the bathrooms are such high quality. There is also really great food there! Although we didn't eat there this time. If you're in the area or even close enough to drive or get a train I'd highly recommend heading over to get some great bargains! read more

Nice little outlet village. Not like most shopping centres, very top tier products. Shops in village style buildings. Takes about 15 minutes to walk through from one side to the other. The train station in inside the village. Nicely lit up at Christmas. Some shops have a digital queue system, which is annoying. You scan a bar code, then wait for an unknown amount of time to be let inside. Lots of designer shops here. 5-6 places to eat inside the village. The Italian place and the Wolesey cafe are both good. The real town is about 15 min walk north of the village. The bathrooms are quite nice and spread out across the village. Most people behaving and not rushing each other. Expected more big groups and divaresque people strutting about with 3-4 designer bags on each arm, big no mainly regular sloppy dressed people. read more

If you're visitor fr North America, pls don't waste your time to shop here! Absolutely too far to go Bicester Village fr London city, it's too crowed and expensive as outlet! Most of brands (luxury/high end) you find in here, you will see it at Desert Hill in CA or Woodbury in NY. Prices are the same but just in different currency! Canadian dollar not even in favorite.... we shopped at Ted Baker, Stella McCartney and etc... We found after exchange and duty with tax, totally not worth it to buy a thing! Beautiful well kept outside shopping. There are trains nearby and if you drive, plenty of parking but busy. Get there before opening to get a good parking spot. It had a nice amount of high end shops with good deals and nice restaurants. Check it out! read more

I've been coming here with my mum since I learnt about the concept of shopping. Over the years the village has really managed to build up an amazing list of brands and designers ranging from high street fashion and accessories to high end, children's wear and home and lifestyle. As an designer outlet you can expect some amazing discounts. By rule of thumb I try not to come here with something in mind as finding what you want can be hit or miss. As i mentioned before there are great discounts but it can still be expensive. It's fantastic during the sales as prices are more discounted. But a word of warning some brands and designers make items purely for the outlets which you wouldn't find in the real shops. The village is open air so do bring a brolly if it's cloudy and might rain. There are more places to eat now which is good; Pret and Starbucks for a quick bite and coffee, Carluccio's, the Villandry, and a few pop up food vendors. There is also a pub opposite the main car park. My mum lives really near to Bicester so I've only gone by car. I know you can get the train from Marylebone to Bicester North and there are othen coach tours for shopping mad tourists. If you love your shopping or know someone who does it's definitely worth a trip here! read more

we decided to test out the convenience of taking a train there instead of driving. not cheap at all. a return train ticket from marylebone station to north bicester station costs 23.50 and a shuttle bus ticket costs 4 bringing the total damage to your pocket 27.50 before you start shopping!!! but the trains leave marylebone every 30mins or so with travel times ranging from 50 mins - just over an hour. still it's faster than driving and you can catch a shut eye to and from shopping. once you arrive at bicester north station you are whisked away in small shuttle buses that leaves every 10-15mins. we were lucky and hopped on to one right away when we exited the station. what i like about the shuttle is the fact that you do not need to fight with the throngs of cars for a parking lot. the shuttle bus is also very thoughtfully chosen with space for your shopping loot! i must say they grow bigger every time i visit. but being a weekend, it was chock a block full of eager beavers! my homing pigeon sensors brought me straight into tod's and i landed my first purchase within minutes. it was a pair of black patent leather moccasins which carried an additional 20% discount on the outlet price! so i paid 104 quid for it. the leather was really very soft and felt very light on my feet. that purchase alone made my trip worth it.:) then i scored my second major signing when i added mr. paul smith to the fold. how i felt like the sheikh owner of man city fc with my spending spree!!!:) so it was another black shoe for me, casually pointy with a wing tip design. only 99 quid after flashing my bicester VIP day card which on certain conditions like this offered an additional 10% discount. ah... so the question on everybody's mind must be how to score yourself a VIP day card??? unfortunately, you can only get one from the visitor's centre, if you have in your possession an overseas issued credit card of any sort. many other temptations lie in the wait. but my shopping was done for the day in just under 2 hours. of course my shopping companion was tardy and hardly opened her account by the time we met up for lunch at none other than pret! pret is boom town charlie!!! you can only imagine the single day turnover for this outlet on a weekend!!! gazillion quid??? service here is fast though as they created extra counters to cope with the crowds with express checkout if you are not desiring coffee or soup. other f&b options include carluccio's, starbucks, villandry and a few food carts selling gelato and bagels etc. between 6 jul - 5 sep, opening hours are 10am-8pm mon-sat and 10am-6pm on sun. the agenda after lunch was of course, more shopping! i almost bought a le creuset cast iron pan but seeing how heavy it was, thought it best to buy when i drive.:) other notable designers include bally, zegna, hugo boss, thomas pink, ted baker, etc. but do avoid the weekends if you can, for a less squeezy and rushed shopping experience! read more

Let's go shopping! It is some how traditional for tourists to go shopping when traveling and this is no exception. It feels weird to be the tourist when in the US I am the part of the locals. Looking for discounts might be difficult to find. With a lot of high end designers creating lower end brand name products for outlet shoppers we can feel like we save money but in reality we didn't save much. There is nothing fancy to me about this outlet. American brands are more expensive even before converting your money to Pounds. I heard that local England and UK brands are better priced but I can't confirm. Also having a slight 8 to 10 percent tax break does help but don't base your purchase around the fact you can get tax back as a foreign. Think of it as a mail in rebate. You probably will forget to redeem this benefit. I only spent an hour here and I didn't find much interest. I know I will sound like a chick but damn I tried on a Burberry jacket but it was real nice. Everything else felt like crap but I wasn't willing to part with 300 Pounds. Besides we are on a 4 year drought. It sadly won't rain in California. If you have the itch to shop you should give this place a chance. If you are looking for deals because this is an outlet you may or may not find what you are looking for. If you are looking for designer brands you are in luck. I was on vacation with my wife and her parents in London and we considered going to here. It's a long drive from London to get to here and given it was my first driving experience in England, it was a bit challenging driving on the opposite side. Given the cost and hassle to get here, it isn't worth it. The car rental was expensive since automatic cars are uncommon and the amount spent on the trip to get there would have been the same if I just bought my Burberry jacket at a store. None of us bought much outside of my jacket and like all outlets, you're not getting the same quality as you would at the stores or they don't have it in your size. Tip: Bring your passport so you can request a Tax refund. Fortunately my mother-in-law brought hers. read more

As an American shopping overseas, I wondered how different it would be shopping at an outlet in the UK versus back in Texas - roundrock, allen, Tanger outlets, etc. I'll start with how to get there: Staying in London, there were a few options to get out to Bicester. You can take a charter bus with 2 morning departure times and 2 return departure times. This bus takes a few stops to pick up other passengers at hotels so the total time takes about 1.5 hrs if i remember correctly. Or, you can take the tube to Marlyebone station where you can take the rail directly to Bicester Village where you will take a short 5 minute shuttle bus to the village. This is the option we chose, and it was nice to have the flexibility of frequent trains. Onto the shopping itself: For the women, it's a pretty sweet collection of big name designer stores all in one place. For the men, shopping is the same at any outlet in my opinion. However, it was an interesting opportunity for me to just take a look at what high end clothes looks like as well as accessories. However, the prices were not anything spectacular. What does help is visiting the tourist information center and getting a VIP card that will get you 10% off any full-priced items at pretty much any store. Normally, you need a platinum level credit card to be able to get one of these VIP cards, but if you look desperate enough like I did, they may just give you one. I even spent time stalking Chinese tourists who may have had extras. We only used the card on one item, but every little bit helps, especially here. Why pay full price for your Bond Street / New Bond Street / Oxford Street style boutiques when you can go to the Outlet This place may be six months / a season or two behind in term of fashion but I refuse to pay the ludicrous prices for this sort of stuff. Agent Provocateure, Alexander McQueen, Amanda Wakeley, Anne Fonatine, Anya Hindmarch, Aquascutum, Armani, Aubin & Wils, Bally, Bodum, Bonpoint, Bose, Burberry, Cafe Cotton, CK CK underwear, Cath kidson, Celine, Cerruti, Charles Tyrwhitt, Churchs, coast, D&G David Clulow, Diane von Furstenberg....I am only on the D's out of the whole alphabet for gods sake...they just keep on coming... This place can be hit and miss in terms of getting a "great" deal (as opposed to a "good" deal which you will get on every visit) and if you can go regularly say once every month or two you will be sure to come away with designer / good quality clothes at a fraction (and I mean a fraction) of the price. There aren't many outlet shopping malls here so there isn't much to choose from. The other that comes to mind is in Swindon and if you put one there you better make it good to draw in the peeps! Back to Bicester. This is in a nice pretty area in Oxfordshire, fairly accessible from the M40 which goes all the way down to London or up to Birmingham and is about half way in between. The place has steadily expanded since I was a regular there and that has made it busier and harder to park. Plenty of Asian tourists come here to snap up "bargains". This place is better for women to shop but you can find the odd gem if you look hard enough. It's not super large and if the shops aren't your taste then this is a half day max. affair. There are lots of different high end shops here like Diesel, Burberry, 7, D&G, etc... and the prices are good- but the selection at each shop is pretty limited. I was expecting somehow for it to be a bit bigger- but if you have been to an outlet mall anywhere it is the same experience. When we got there in early afternoon the parking lot is packed but we got valet parking for 5 pounds which was reasonable. It is worth it to look around for an afternoon but I would not go every weekend. read more

Bicester Village is your not average high street shopping centre so if people go there expecting high street stores and then get offended by designer prices then I'm not sure what they expected in the first place. Stores like Gucci, Versace, Prada, Dior, Fendi, Valentino, Hugo Boss, Salvatore Ferragamo, Bally, etc, don't cater for your average high street shopper, these are designer stores and they sell their products at designer prices. Then you also have stores such as Kipling, Radley, Thomas Pink, Ralph Lauren, Coast, Hobbs, etc. Some of the prices are cheaper than buying from the regular designer stores as some of the items are last season's but on the other hand you can also argue that you may find sale prices cheaper in stores in Central London which would be a valid argument. I have always found the staff in the shops at Bicester to be polite and friendly including the door staff. If you smile and give them some common courtesy, they give it straight back. I've not really experienced poor service in any of the stores that I can think of really, even when I went into Prada today and the store was really busy the security staff were very politely asking people to wait outside until a few people came out as the store was already very packed. When I left, he said bye to me with a smile as happens in most of the stores here. The customer service overall in Bicester Village is a dream compared to your regular high street stores nowadays and it is a pleasure to shop there. No Hermes, Chanel or Louis Vuitton available here but maybe one day, who knows? Aside from a few key designers mentioned above missing, the car parking is also an issue, we arrived at around 11:15 today (Monday) and found spaces easily enough but when we left a few hours later, we could barely see any spaces available and people were just driving around in circles, well it's the week before Christmas so what else can one expect! read more

A good selection of high end stores, but be papered to spend more on food, too. This place has no food court, so, beside Jamie Oliver, there's no "quick meal". If you are non-European residence, make sure you have a copy of your passport and a credit card. Since they've already taken out admin fees at the stores here, you will loose more if you do your refunds at the airport. They pay you back the tax portion on the spot in cash with no additional fees. Yes, you will spend lots of time lining up if you go there in the late afternoon to closing, but it's worth it. read more

Bicester Village is the cheapest place I know to get designer gear, which is a huge rarity because you can normally always get things cheaper on the interwebs! It has a good selection of mid to high end brands for 30% to 80% off and the simple circular layout of the village means that you don't miss out on any of them. It's about an hour and a half drive from London (in Oxfordshire) which is a bit annoying if you can't find anything to buy. Shop stock can be a bit hit and miss depending on what day you decide to go. You can be assured that you will always be able to find staple products such as the mulberry Bayswater and the Burberry scarf though. Parking can be a nightmare but there's another free car park a bit further away from the village and a free bus service that goes between them. I went there looking to buy a cute work bag but came back with a fur lined jacket (£150 from £350) and jeans (£60 from £150) both from The Kooples, both 60% off. read more

Outlet shopping, either you love it or hate it... I think Bicester Outlet Village is a great place to pick up a bargain, though you have to get here early. Arriving after 11am is just asking for sitting in a long queue just to park your car and then have hoards of people in the shops that are getting more and more irritate and rude. The way people behave in crowded places (sometime) is just disgraceful... please behave when you are out there, we are all in the same situation... Though, this time around we arrived 9:30 am and it was empty, by 11am it was still not as busy as usually but I think that is because the Christmas sales have been on for so many weeks now and hey, this is the "poorest" weekend of the year (most people haven't got paid yet since December). I noticed this time that the "great bargains" seems to move every time I visit between the shops, last time it was Helly Hansen, the time before that it was Calvin Klein Jeans and this time it seems to have been Karen Millen. This is a fantastic place to shop but even mid-month during what should be a quiet retail time, it is absolutely full to bursting and parking is an issue. Despite having added lots more parking - so much there is transport from some of it to the village - it is still difficult to find a parking space. Once you've battled traffic and parking, you then have to battle through people in order to find anything and staff can be snobby. That said, it is fantastic to be able to get things here at a discount and it is a fantastic experience not to be missed! read more

I really don't like this place very much. It is meant for people who enjoy shopping as a leisure activity and I don't. But it is good for children's shoes at the Clarks Shoe shop. Children's shoes are horribly expensive but you can get them here with a good discount but only if your children have the right sort of feet. Either my children have wide feet or thin feet that they don't have the right sizes or or such normal feet that they've already sold out of those sizes. At any rate we only ever seem to be able to buy one pair of shoes between the 2 children and so we still end up going into Oxford Summertown to the shoe shop there. There is a good play area for children. There is also a Carluccios cafe which is very nice, a Books ETC and far more clothes shops than can be good for the planet!! See, even writing about all those shops makes me feel bad. We usually stop off at the Ice Cream Farm in Weston on the Green (if the children have been good) to wind down and recover in peaceful surroundings. read more

A tiny fake village, actually an outdoor mall of mostly high-end but discounted shopping. Aquascutum, Tommy Hilfiger, Racing Green, DKNY, D&G, Jigsaw, Jimmy Choo, Levi, Guess, Karen Millen, Hugo Boss, Clarks, and dozens more. The difference is that these London Bond St and Jermyn St regulars are (1) all clustered side-by-side and (b) discounted because they're excess stop, factory seconds, or last-year's lines. They've just expanded, and added a new two-story carpark. If you're looking for some reduced-price clothes or shoes and you're near Oxford, it's a great place for it. As crowded as it gets it's never as bad as London's Oxford St. The parking's free (but very crowded). It's open 7 days a week. There's a Starbucks and a Pret a Manger in the mall, and a pub, petrol station, and massive Tesco right beside it all. read more

When I was younger, I didn't like this place so much as it seemed too designer, and overpriced, but this all changed once I found a pair of Firetrap jeans for £15! There are definitely bargains to be had here, and the village is bigger and better now with All Saints, Alexander Mc Queen and Pringle to cope with the whole credit-crunch inspired, bargain shopping trend. I come here for Miss Sixty and Diesel jeans, but I'm open to finding bargains in Versace and Mulberry. It can get busy here at times, especially after Christmas, but it is never unbearable like Oxford Street and still has a relaxed feel. A large designer outlet with over 50 various brands represented. The Village has shops for all budgets, and quiet a few of my high end favourites are here including Zegna, Dunhill, Loro Piana, Ferragamo, Tods, Bally, Versace and Hugo Boss. I come here about once a year when I need to stock up on standard items of good quality like shirts, jeans, sweaters, coats and official suits or when I'm looking for models that are no longer available in the main boutiques. Don't expect too much from it though as items offered are mostly the ones that didn't sell out on the main street. So if you want something particularly popular from the current season, better pay the full price in London, as chances are it will sell out before making it here. On the second thought, I found a few interesting and fashionable items as well. Versace has a particularly broad selection, probably better than their London shop on Sloane Street. Another word of warning, however: it is sometimes frustrating that they may not have the right size for something that catches your eye. This place is perfect for people who are particularly large or small, but you have to work harder to find similarly great items of the more average sizes. Overall, it's probably worth a 1.5 hour drive from London if looking for a few basic items of good quality; and you may be lucky enough to find something special as well. The price bargains are often great, as there are many opportunities to purchase items of excellent quality from prestigious brands with as much as 80% reduction off the original price. read more

Bicester Village is an amazing little village just outside of Central Oxford that offers a huge variety of designer outlet shops with huge discounts. When you walk into it once it's dark, it looks like a magical place, as the fairy lights that line the narrow streets are all lit up, surrounding each shop with a glow. They offer many different designer outlets, including CK, Hugo Boss, DKNY, Jimmy Choo, Karen Millen, Levis, Versace, Miss Sixty, Ted Baker and many more. The shops all sell things at fabulously discounted prices, sometimes with 75% - 80% of the usual price. They also have a pub and a snack bar for the breaks in between the shopping, and ample of parking space. One could easily spend a few hours in this place, and, if you enjoy shopping, you'll find yourself returning here time and time again. read more

The outlet centre in bicester is a great place for all designer lovers who dont have designer amount of cash! There is a monsoon, versace, hugo boss... the list is endless...and all at discount places. It really is like a little village. there is a central walking promenade with shops dotted either side mixed with little places to eat. There are cafes and coffee places galore. There is a ralph lauren babies/children for your little guys too. If you do not like designer gear then this is not the place for you. and be warned, although cheaper - some clothes will still not be cheap. For instance my friend tried on a £1500 versace dress, and in some shops ''cheap'' means £60-120. But for weddings, birthdays and special occassions this is the place to go. As mentioned in the other reviews, this is mostly designer outlet land e.g. Ralph Lauren, Jimmy Choo, etc. The cheaper shops (for men) include Timberland, Camper, Puma, Reebok, Tog 24 and some of the sporting gear. The best time to go is during the sales where there are discounts on the already discounted price. Getting there by public transport can be slightly time consuming e.g. London Marylebone to Bicester North (£15 return), then catch a shuttle bus (£2 per trip). A MUST visit, if you go anywhere near Oxford or the surrounding area. The 'Village' is a quaint shopping area with a host of designer stores, many of which are listed in the reviews below. Although much of the stock available is there for a reason- it couldn't be sold elsewhere, there are definitely bargains to be had. I have visited it on a number of occasions an never come away disappointed. Make sure you leave a few hours though, as it is necessary to have a good browse to come away with anything worthwile. Parking is free, note that the 'Village' itself is not indoors, so if it is raining, you may get slightly wet; though the shops are quite close together. There's also a large Tesco nearby. read more

I've been going to this place for years now, and to be honest even though it's now bigger (and in some people's opinion better) than ever before, I really don't like it as much as I used to. If you're looking for really high end brand name products then you will find them here at reduced prices and that's great, but they don't have any of the middle of the road stuff and a lot of the smaller shops have been pushed out. DKNY, Clarks, French Connection, Chanel, etc. all still remain, but you no longer have the wonderful stores like Converse where they used to sell off all their prototype trainers for £20 a pair and things like that. I do have to say I like the outdoorsy feel to this place, it feels nicer to me than the great big indoor shopping centres, and they have an extra advantage too As well as Pret a Manger, they have a Carluccio's and I reeeeally like their food! ;-) A nice day out if it's dry, but the place can get very busy and parking can be an issue, although I did hear that they've recently added a new multi storey car park so that may have improved since my last visit. read more

A large factory outlet village on the edge of Bicester, so easy enough to get to (The A41, the M40 and the A34 all virtually take you to the door) That said, perhaps not the most desirable place to be getting to at this time of year (It goes a bit nuts around the Xmas season) Perhaps the reason it goes nuts, if the huge discounts that some of the stores have on offer. The clothes can be a bit hit and miss, but the homewares and the kids bits and pieces are always a bargain annd make a nice change from the high street at large.. A brilliant place for Xmas shopping for people that you don;t know that well and shopping for kids clothes at any time of year. The nightmarish parking of previous years should be much better this year too with the introduction of multi-storey parking! read more

Bicester shopping village is great if you are looking for top designer gear at cheap prices. However, things are still expensive by normal prices, so don't expect to get an armani coat for matalan prices! Everything is good quality and it all looks great. The street that it is on looks really pretty and there are a couple of places to get something to eat and drink. The parking is free and there is plenty of it, although I would recomend getting there early on a weekend. Furthermore it is only a little walk into Bicester town, so if you're spent out on designer gear, you can always walk here from something a little cheaper. AVOID Prada AT ALL COST Probably the worst costumer service I've ever had, the manager called simona acted like she works at a fish market and not a luxury store. When you shop there please make sure the item you are buying is in pristine condition. Mine wasn't, I was rushing and bought a £400 jacket as the store was about to close, when I came back to complain and request a refund the manager treated the situation in a very unprofessional way and simply said I was lying, something that has never happened to me and very degrading. I asked her to view the cctv so she can see the item was not in pristine condition and no one checked the item before bagging it but she refused to do so and said "the cctv is there when we are concerned and not the costumer". She kept rolling her eyes and invalidating anything I say and rolling her eyes. Factory outlet village on the edge of Bicester, easy to get to The A41, the M40 and the A34. Also can get train and use the shuttle service. Love shopping here for Polo Ralph Lauren and Clarks. So much cheaper than other places and also the children range is really good here. Great place for Christmas gifts but a bit of a nightmare shopping at that time. As people before me have mentioned Bicester village can be rather hit and miss. Some times you can go and return home armed with stacks of bargains, yet others you can go home empty handed. The gem, I think, is the Clarks shoe shop. If you've got kids you can get their feet measured there and then just try on the bargains till you find what you want. I had no intention of paying the usual £26 price for a pair of shoes that would be grown out of in about 8 weeks but when the shop assistant brought out several pairs to try on I was extremely chuffed when the best pair also turned out to be just £10! Like someone else before, I'm also on their mailing list so I now have a voucher to take along to get 10% off. Provided I can use it in Clarks (I haven't checked yet) I'll be going along again soon to use it! read more
