If you're visitor fr North America, pls don't waste your time to shop here! Absolutely too far to go Bicester Village fr London city, it's too crowed and expensive as outlet! Most of brands (luxury/high end) you find in here, you will see it at Desert Hill in CA or Woodbury in NY. Prices are the same but just in different currency! Canadian dollar not even in favorite.... we shopped at Ted Baker, Stella McCartney and etc... We found after exchange and duty with tax, totally not worth it to buy a thing! Still good to kill time here.

Typical Shopping Outlet just like here in the US with luxury brands from US and UK. The prices for the US brands are decent but you can get some real good deals on UK/ European brands.

You can find everything from brilliant pies (Raven's Den in particular), awesome cheese (Lincolnshire Poacher and others), fresh veggies (Earthworks and others), fresh fish and meats... not to mention cupcakes and other sweet treats! We usually start by getting a coffee for the husband from the vendor with the mobile coffee bar (the machine is in the back of his van), and then wander the markets and end at the Merchant for a cup of tea for me. As long as there is a rainbow biscuit on the way even our toddler is happy.

I loved that everything was put in paper bags, not plastic. I read that the market has been around since the 9th century, which I loved knowing. A short walk down the hill brings you to beautiful neighborhoods with cobblestone roads and the huge cathedral. It's a lovely area overall.

I definitely deduct a star because, while parking in England is usually a challenge - not enough spots (all (too) small for my Land Rover) and expensive, parking in Salisbury seemed to us like the worst for a small city! Anyway - back to market and surroundings. Historic buildings including a magnificent cathedral, a wide variety of pubs and eating places, an open market and a wide range of stores selling just about anything your heart might desire. We were lucky to catch the open market itself on Saturday morning en route to lunch at the Haunch of Venison (the pub from 1320 - see my review). They had every kind of cheese, fruit etc as well as clothes, crafts and more. Review #58 2019

I came here twice with my mother-in-law to pick up a few fresh items (strawberries), direct from the farmers. The hardest part is finding a parking spot. Lucky for me, my mother-in-law had a handicap sticker, which meant that we were able to park right at the market square. I'm not sure what you do if you can't park on the street. There has to be a parking lot somewhere, I just didn't need to figure that part out. If you are in the neighborhood, stop in and enjoy! I'll be back the next time I'm nearby.

Get a table and eat first, otherwise you'll probably buy everything you see - as it all looks good. On a full stomach you're less likely to make hungry choices you normally might not. Three of us went there for lunch on a Friday. We took precautions and had reservations but they weren't too full because we arrived prior to noon. They have their regular menu but also specials of the day and I think we all chose their specials. Two of us had the eggs royale and another the halibut. The food was delicious and appetizingly prepared. We all had dessert. Two of us had cappuccinos and the banana and chocolate chip cake. While the cake was good, I thought it was a little on the dry side - JUST a little so it was still good and we all ate most of our cakes. Be warned they're pretty big pieces so you could share and be content. We went down to the shop and I actually ended up buying quite a bit. They have farm fresh eggs, loads of meat as there is a butcher on site and they had baked goods as well. I couldn't help myself and bought some yorkshire puddings. They were so good. Just 30 secs in the microwave at home and it was like it was just made. I bought some pork wrapped in bacon, some pork belly and sausages. I forget the name of the sausages but they were delicious. Pork was made Sunday night and was a great easy dinner to prep with some sides. Sunday dinner was affordable and a breeze! I would definitely go back and have breakfast next time with hubby and buy some more meat. Next time I'll bring my own shopping bag as well!
