During appt she told me I was addicted to my anxiety medication-- in front of my 8 year old. (Ridiculous considering I have a psychiatrist who was helping me to go off of said anxiety medication bc I didn't want to be on it. Mental health is also far out of her realm of expertise) she Blamed symptoms on depression/anxiety or claimed they were "normal" A different doctor found I had hormonal imbalances, low cortisol, low vitamin D, IBS amongst other things. I also saw her for knee pain due to getting hit by a car as a kid and causing me to not be able to go running/jogging. I asked if she had natural suggestions bc the last thing I wanted was to be on PKs and she asked in an accusatory way what I meant by "herbal". Implied herbal things don't work and didn't suggest anything herbal or medical. Told me I could have endometriosis but they wouldn't know unless they cut me open I was referred to multiple specialists to treat a common issue for two years. Do yourself a favor and avoid seeing this doctor.

As a nursing student, we even know NEVER to use that kind of language with a patient!!!! My parents were both outraged and took me to see a different doctor. Dr. Dzwonkowski took the time to sit down with me and ask me all types of questions and decided that in fact, I did have asthma. I am now on an inhaler that I take twice a day and I no longer have my breathing problem. DO NOT GO TO DR. GALLAGHER!!!!

6 months ago I had lab results come back abnormal. Two weeks ago I went in for an appointment and asked a question that caused her to look up my previous labs. Instantly the mood in the room changed and she became worried. She told me one of my abnormal results often coincides with blood cancers. She kept apologizing over and over again that she missed it 6 months ago (even though I called questioning it). She kept saying how this number is really scaring her and "sorry, I'm probably scaring you" and "I can't believe I missed this". She instantly ran more tests. Had this come back as cancer she would have caused a SIX month delay in my care/treatment. This is my third bad experience in her office. Being a nurse with Aurora I want to make sure this isn't happening to more patients. I have tried to contact the manager twice and still have not heard back. I'm never going back to this office.

During our first appointment, we sat with her to discuss his whole health history and all my concerns. Every appointment thereafter, I felt like she really knew and understood him. The lab tests we've done were very comprehensive and she took the time to explain the results carefully. I better understand gut health (and it's importance!) because of her. She is very knowledgable about both natural and conventional supplements and medicine. I've never felt rushed or uncomfortable around her, like I have with other doctors. Every appointment, we've left with a clear treatment plan and next steps. I also saw her earlier this year when I was having some health issues of my own, mainly due to pandemic stress. Just as with my son, she took the time to know my health history and develop a treatment plan with supplements and lab tests. She is an expert on women's health, and I appreciated her insight on seed cycling and adrenal issues. As she transitions to mainly telehealth, I intend to continuing see her for my health needs. I wish she could be my primary health practioner because it's so difficult to find someone who really takes the time to understand the whole you.

I can't say enough great things about her. When my kids have a doctors appointment, they always make sure it's with Dr. Durant because they like and trust her so much. Dr. Durant is warm, caring, patient, and funny. and goes above and beyond any other doctor I've been to. She's extremely thorough and when she sees something unusual she won't stop searching until she's found the answer. Whenever I see her, it doesn't feel like I'm seeing a doctor, it feels like I'm visiting a friend. I've got a complicated medical history, and she's always making sure I get the care I need. Sometimes I disagree with her suggestions, but when I voice my concerns she not only listens, she also does an amazing job explaining why what she's recommending is something she feels is necessary. She takes an extraordinary amount of time with her patients, and I never feel like she thinks I'm wasting her time when I keep her in the room longer than expected. I also love how accommodating she is. If my daughter has an appointment and there's something wrong with me when I take them, she's always willing to check out my issue after taking care of my kids. I love it because it saves me an extra trip and saves time. Dr. Durant is the best doctor I've ever had. If you're looking for a doctor, I'd definitely encourage you to go to her because I can't imagine anyone else who would be as thorough, caring, patient & devoted to her clients as she has been from the very 1st appointment I had with her and every visit since.

Warning. They did not inform my wife that the midwives may not deliver your baby…read more My wife chose this specifically for a midwife. They informed her to meet all the midwives because it was not guaranteed that the one you chose would deliver your baby. My wife met with all three or four midwives during the course of her pregnancy. Come labor and delivery. The hospital called a doctor from Women's Specialty Care and informed us that ALL the midwives were off that night and that a doctor whom my wife never met would be delivering. The doctor was late to show up. My wife was ready to deliver the baby and her body was telling her to push. The nurses were telling her to wait for the doctor, which is both ridiculous and unhealthy. The doctor shows up. My wife says hi (a woman in likely the most pain of her life) the doctor doesn't acknowledge, but carries a groaning frown on her face. She delivers the baby, asks if we have questions, and takes off. Later come to find out hospital policy usually is to wait for a doctor so they can get paid for the delivery. I understand the benefit of having a doctor present, but when it is doing more harm than good by forcing a mother in labor to wait to deliver a baby so the doctor can add one more to her list of babies delivered, then it is ridiculous. This was only one small story of the shit show that happened during my wife's labor. I am grateful my daughter was born healthy, but it was by the strength of my wife not the aid of the grumpy doctor.
