Moments later another amiable employee asked me if I needed any help. She guided me towards the girls' jeans section. This store has mostly Western wear and "workin' man" gear. I'm happy to report that there were some good options here - a bit on the pricey side - but because of the friendly service and mostly clean and well-kempt place, I'll return. They're open 7 days a week and accept cash or plastic.

There are minimal options in Hobbs, NM, for sporting goods stores…read more Hibbett Sports is okay at meeting most team sports needs... actually, only a handful of sports to my recollection: baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, and track/field. There may have been other items, but they didn't stand out. I'm the last person who likes all the bright flashy colors in this place. Some of the shoes especially look gaudy. Guess that's still the style. The plainest items for purchase where the baseball/softball gloves. Lol. I just know what I like for workout clothes and running shoes. Didn't see anything I would purchase here. For my kiddos, though, it's nice to know this place has alternatives to Big 5, Walmart, and whatever else I'm missing in this small town. This shop is located in a plaza across from Walmart. Free parking. The staff greeted me, but that was about it. I suppose they sensed that I was less than impressed with the women's stuff and didn't need assistance.

On November 21, 2024 I was immediately greeted by a very nice gentleman. While they did not have the ammo I wanted in stock, he clarified how ordering is processed from their website. I will definitely be visiting them in the future. Memberships to the outdoor gun range, Hobbs Gun Club, which is about 6 miles away, are sold here. Happy Thanksgiving!

Recently I decided to pop into this large store with an indoor firing range in Hobbs, NM, for the purchase of one of my dream guns. I currently do not have my concealed carry, so I paid for it. Waited a few days for it to arrive at the shop since it was a special order. Filled out my paperwork on a tablet. Now I have to wait 7 days until I obtain it. It's a beautiful piece of American design and manufacturing! Cole is my favorite employee here as he has been the one who has helped me most throughout this process. Duncan is friendly with a quirky sense of humor. The other employees are nice as well & quick to help even when it's busy. Free, abundant parking in the Navajo East Plaza.

Other than an issue I had with some chick in the Pro Shop who was totally clueless and later hung up on me, I have never had any problems with any of the staff here. When I was a kid, I loved taking golf lessons out here. It's always been a nice course. Now that I'm a parent of upper elementary grade students, I've had the pleasure of being around the staff and coaches who facilitate the "First Tee" kid's program. Not only do they stress the importance of fun and fundamentals, but at the end of each session they discuss pillars pertaining to character and sportsmanship like respect and responsibility. My 9-year-old is getting a bit bored with it, but she has learned a lot about this great game. If you're not into golf like many wives seem to be - have a few drinks and apps or a light lunch at the Rockwind Grill. There is indoor and outdoor dining available. Also nearby to keep anti-golfers occupied are the following: + CORE (Center of Recreational Excellence) + Hobbs Veterans Memorial + Lovington Highway Health Walk (concrete walking path parallel to Highway 18) + McAdams Park + New Mexico Junior College + University of the Southwest + Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame + Zia Park Casino Hotel & Racetrack This course often allows fundraisers throughout the year - so proud of my community for that.
