Of the 5 or so other aides who came here, two also were young and very good, until one let my husband fall, with injuries that sent him for 20 days to a nursing home, and the other was a no-show on a day when I had to get my husband to the hospital for an urgently needed transfusion. The manager, who is in Syracuse, does not know how to manage a business involved in home-care-giving. On two occasions she screamed at me on the phone. One day she ordered me to leave my home when the caretaker came. That particular caretaker was a nut who lasted 4 hours at our home. She told me among other things that she was a millionairess, drove a Mercedes, and had a sister with severe psychosis. The manager let that nut tape me in our home. When I find out about the taping, I threw the woman out. I suggest Interim find itself a new manager.

This company provides Home Health Aides for disabled / elderly people so that they can have some…read moredaily help with their daily living needs. We have been using them for about a year. I would not actively recommend them. The office staff is very poorly organized when it comes to scheduling the aides and covering call outs , leaving the client hanging. They are a bit of a Mickey Mouse operation with the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Most but not all of the office staff ladies are amicable to deal with but bottom line in my book is I'd rather have and I expect to have competency as a priority over anything else b/c at the end of the day it's the client and not those office ladies that end up suffering for their inability to do their jobs correctly.

This is for Apria, Inc. as a whole, not for the local office…read more I can only describe some of the horrors I've had with this company. 1) I kept getting billed, even though I have two insurance companies. I had to take a day off from work, go down to this office, showed them my two ID cards, and yet I still kept getting billed. It turns out that Apria never billed my insurance company, never told me, and sent the outstanding bills to a collections agency. 2) I get a letter from corporate asking me to set up an appointment for a tech to come service my oxygen concentrator. I call them back and set up an appointment. Day comes, I take off work early, no one shows up. I call the local office and ask them what's up, I was told that I should never set up an appointment with corporate, only with the local office. It seems that one hand does not know what the other hand is doing. 3) I originally did business with the Elmira, NY office. I needed supplies, and called the number I had. It went straight to the corporate office, located somewhere not in the United States. I told them I'm trying to talk to the Elmira office, first they want to send me to Syracuse (2 hours away). I said no, Elmira. Then they want to send me to Endwell (40 minutes away). Even when I tried calling the Endwell office, it went straight to the corporate office. I found out that the Elmira office closed, but apparently corporate wasn't aware of this. I found the empty store front by going on Google earth and viewing it. 4) I can not relay how disappointed and outraged I am with this company. After being on the phone with them for hours at work, the operator tells me "You're the best part of Apria". I was flabbergasted. If this is how they treat "the best part", how do they treat the "lesser" parts? Please, please, please, avoid this company at all costs.
