Only problem was, my breakfast sandwich didn't have on it what I had ordered, as far as condiments went, and the biscuit fell apart. Also, bacon was not very good so I removed it. I understand the policy is to card everyone amd I appreciate it, as I have a 20 year old daughter. But because my sister in law in her late 50s didn't have her license they refused to sell alcohol to us. The rest of us did have our licenses, but because she didn't we couldn't purchase. So remember your license if you plan on buying liquor or leave anyone without their license hidden away. It's a little absurd that an almost 60 year old woman and her husband couldn't purchase liquor, and when I offered we were all denied. We even sent her outside ans they still wouldn't sell us anything so we took our business elsewhere and always will.

Now as Harrison General Store properly named on what you will find inside. This trip so far ran in for a lighter, cigarettes, and half and half. Noticed they carry my husbands favorite beer Michelob Light that alone earns them the 5th star. Yesterday when I ran through I noticed people eating pizza here. It was a sign we should have stayed and had some instead of driving to Bridgton. It smelled delicious and I am sure it tasted good too. There is convenient street parking out front and goes without saying that there was no meters to pay. Which is terrific and makes you love small towns even more.

There was plenty of produce, meats, snacks, and more to choose from. They even have an entire aisle full of beer, seltzers, and other canned beverages plus, an aisle worth of wine. I also spotted aperol here (not sure of the price) which was surprising since many of the nearby liquor stores or convenience stores didn't seem to have any. One thing to note, and this is especially important for those of us traveling from out of state who don't have grocery stores that sell booze (looking at you, Marylanders), everyone who is with you will need to show valid ID. The three of us all helped shop and load the groceries into check out and we weren't aware that we all needed to show ID even though only one of us was making the purchase. I made the silly mistake of leaving my wallet behind but showed a picture of my ID to the staff who reluctantly told me it was fine but to just not handle any of the booze myself. Oops! Lesson learned for next time.

Twenty minutes later our cold sandwiches were ready. I asked the girl who handed me the sandwiches ,(not in a bag) if waiting twenty minutes was unusual? The guy making the sandwiches came over, must have been the owner, because no employee would have been allowed to speak to a customer the way he did. "When Call in orders are backed up, possible to wait an hour or more". Having owned a small business myself, a different answer would have brought me back again, not now. The customer who is at your counter is your most important customer.
