Long established high end hotel on the lake offering many amenities and fantastic service…read moreespecially from Robert who helped us so well with our check in. They have a gift shop, 2 restaurants, a wonderful indoor pool and hot tub, conference rooms , outdoor pool and a marina. Rooms were clean bit the bed was a little to soft for me.

I absolutely agree with other reviewers when they say this place is OUTDATED! I felt like I was…read morestepping into an episode of the Brady Bunch when we arrived. Just the whole vibe of the place including the stuffy air inside just kind of put me off from the moment we stepped into the lobby. On the outside it appeared decent at most. The location is really what sold us since it's right next to the lake. The price of the rooms couldn't be beat but after arriving we could clearly see why. The hours for their restaurants and shops were weird. Everything was open for only a specific time. They had one restaurant that was basically only open for breakfast/brunch but closed around 3pm. Then their steak restaurant was open for dinner only. We had originally planned on trying the steak restaurant but after reading the reviews of the subpar food and service we decided to try somewhere else off of the hotel grounds. We arrived early and tried checking in but they're advised us that our rooms were not ready yet and they took down our names to give us a call when they were ready. We didn't mind that, we ended up walking around the hotel to see the resort. Honestly everything was just so outdated and it felt like a complete ghost town. The hotel is huge, I know they have way too many rooms that aren't being occupied. The resort feels like it was popular about two decades ago but now it's just sad. When we finally got to our rooms it was exactly what I expected at that point. Yes, it was larger than any other standard hotel room but that's really where the positives ended. I was honestly scared to walk on the carpet, it felt so old. Everything about the room screamed 70's. It's like they hadn't updated anything since the hotel originally opened. The bathroom was a bit questionable for cleanliness too. But our view from the room was nice! We had a partial view of the lake. The patio furniture consisted of two dirty plastic chairs. The way they have the patios set up is a bit suspicious too. The bars to the rooms next door are very wide so almost anyone can just walk onto your patio. I didn't like that aspect because of safety issues. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay in Lake Ozark then The Lodge of Four Seasons is it! Just be expected to be transported to the 70's and stay there until you check out.

We stayed here for a conference that was using Encore and the facilities for their time there. I…read morehad stayed years ago when it was still PA, and honestly, I remember it being much nicer back then. Check-in went smooth. There were no working ice machines on the grounds (yes there are machines but there was no ice in said machines available to the guests), which isn't favorable. The front desk said it had been busy, which again I get, but you need to keep up with the demand. The workout room wasn't anything, and the indoor pool wasn't desirable. The room was your standard room. The others in our group had a much nicer room so I hope that the rest of the resort is trying to look the same. Please out window sheers behind the curtains so those who are in the rooms can open the curtains and not expose everything since it's all right there. The Encore pool was nice. For those who don't drink, being told you can't bring water into the pool isn't a good idea. When the pool is being used for the parties, yes I'd understand more but this was during the day. The security guard wouldn't stop staring either. I'm pretty sure we will be there again in a few months for the next conference so I hope updates are being made. Yes I wrote this a few months later as I'm getting caught up on reviews and yes I hope it's much better when and if the company picks here again for their conference.

I booked one room with 2 queen beds on line and when I got there they told me I booked 2 rooms. I…read moreadvised them I booked one as there were only 2 of us and I only needed one room. The older lady was rude and continued to state I booked 2. Another young lady came over and stated it was an on line glitch and cancelled the second room but the Manager Mel would only refund me half of the room fee for a second room I never booked. Now I have to dispute the charge. Don't book on line. The room stunk, the door doesn't seal when fully shut. You can hear everyone around you because it's poorly insulated and just a dirty property. I would never stay again, very disappointing for the 1st time at Lake of the Ozarks.

Fun fact!-- I've stayed at this resort before, during and after the renovations. This is the first…read moreyear I've been here with all the work complete. I must say, the final product is quite a beauty! Check-in was a little challenging because of misinformation, but that was the only bump in the road. My room was extremely spacious and clean. (Minus a little stain on the shower curtain). The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job preparing the room. (The water gets nice and hot, and there are a couple of settings on the shower head.) I was here for a conference, so I was all over the building! Some of the rooms were a little chilly, so make sure you have a light jacket on hand! The conference center was extremely accessible, as there was a skywalk to get from my room to the main building. I had three meals provided by the hotel (there are other eateries inside), and they were all delicious, and versatile. The hotel has a little snack shop that I purchased an ice cream cone from, it was a nice treat that I didn't know I needed. All in all, the facility was extremely clean, and most of the staff will speak in passing. -- I hope to come back to Margaritaville when it is warmer so I can take advantage of the beautiful lake, and other outdoor activities on the grounds. --Parking is kinda spread out, but there's plenty. This place is perfect for a nice in-state staycation. It's only 3 hours from Kansas City, and definitely worth the drive.

This review is about Timber Falls Indoor Waterpark…read more First. It ain't Schlitterbahn. But few water parks are. Timber Falls has lots of splashing fountains and waterfall cascades from a big water tank. There's slides, tubes, an obstacle course and a lazy river. Add a "sports pool" and a hot tub and you're covered. It's warm & steamy inside. For young kids this is a great way to burn some energy in dreary days. The snack bar has burgers, dogs & pizza. Even some beer for mom & dad to help them survive the chaos. If you're a guest of Tan-Tar-A the price might be included or reduced. If not. Be prepared. We dropped $56 for one kid and a grown-up. Fortunately, our youngest wasn't charged. I'd also note we were surprised there wasn't a lifeguard on site. Be prepared to watch your kids at all times. (Shouldn't we all know that?) Bottom line? The grandkids had fun. Isn't that what it's all about?
