This supposed to be luxury, the carpets in the halls and rooms are nasty dirty dingy disgusting and stink, there is no peace on second floor suite overlooking lake, the pool bar has the the music way to loud and is vibrating the floor the pool is very very small for this size of resort and does NOT warrant music to be so loud . The trim in the bathroom is moldy . These " suites" are not luxury . The amenities is the room are NOTHING, bring your own soap shampoo and lotion and any other products you might need. The cost was over $800 for 2 nights,,,, never never again . This place should be gutted and remodeled , again it does stink in all the halls and rooms . Taking a nap is not optional on the second floor and then at night if you go to bed 9-10 pm good luck the band as well is way to loud as well . The staff was pleasant, again we didn't really have much interaction with staff . There is NOT enough seating by the pool for the size of this hotel, again the pool is small. read more

I came to this hotel during the week with my boyfriend for his work conference. I wasn't expecting anything super nice, and was impressed when I stepped into our room and saw how massive it was. Each room has a kitchenette, multiple closets, bath, nice shower, pull out couch, balcony, etc. I was pleasantly surprised. Alright, so this is definitely the spot to go to party. No doubt. If you are young, or young at heart and want to get blasted all weekend long- do it. If you are taking the kids or tend to drink more modestly- I'm sure there is another spot your style. Let's start with the rooms. They are ok. Not the cleanest, but not anything where I felt like checking out. We got a suite looking over the lake, which was absolutely beautiful. The sunsets, the water, everything. The downside is it was SO LOUD. They had an 80's band playing out there until 1:00AM two nights in row- WTF?? I love to boogie on down to some 80's jams, but this girl has a bed time. I went out to the balcony and there was no one out there, but they were rockin out. Fun, but maybe I'm getting old. Second, the pool. Super cool swim up bar that has room for standing and stools in the water for sitting. Half of it is covered for shade- you will need it, and the other is in the sun. There are so many people crammed in this spot. And I can't imagine how much chlorine they must need to keep that bad boy hygienic. People get sh*tty. Grown people are fall down drunk. We walked out of our room to grab dinner and this dude was laid out like a starfish knocked out in just his undies. He didn't know his name, where he came from, and needed multiple people to help him- good times for some. The food was alright and they had a cute gift shop. Parking is tight. I don't think they have enough spot for how many room they have, but it worked out. Overall a fun spot. But if you're looking for a relaxing place, this is not it. read more

Uncaring staff and filthy beds ensure we WON'T stay here again... When we went to pull back the covers to go to sleep, we found multiple hairs (of varying lengths and 'types') on top of and beneath the flat sheet. There were also multiple spots of what appeared to be urine. When the front desk was called at 10:46pm on 02/04/22 and told about it, we didn't even receive an apology, 'stinks to be you', or anything. Fresh bedding was sent up via maintenance, but we didn't even get a clean blanket to use. Instead, we turned the heat up to avoid freezing all night under just a sheet. This place is awful. They have THE LOUDEST music going until 1 AM. I can handle noise, I lived downtown in Chicago for a decade. Unfortunately, the music here is so painfully loud that you have to practically shout to communicate in your hotel room. And yes I do mean painful, I left with very little sleep and a headache. The music is so loud it reverberates through your body when trying to sleep. It's so loud that it is absolutely unnecessary. The hotel itself is average, it's fine, maybe a little on the gross side. It's akin to any chain 3-star but there was a ton of confetti under the pull-out couch so cleanliness is questionable. Regardless, the music makes this place a huge miss. I didn't touch the pool but our group said the water was uncomfortably cold. Management... TURN DOWN the volume! I can't imagine who would enjoy a place like this besides people who are drunk off their gourd. Why do I need to be going deaf in my hotel room? Book your stay here if you enjoy not being able hear yourself think. Not one part of this stay was good and I'd never come here again. I'd rather be in a Holiday Inn. read more

He is not a nice person and belittles all of those around him by telling everyone how much money he makes and the lack of a job that he has to do. Spent a weekend here recently and had a good time. We had a king suite facing the lake with a great view. There was a live band performing at the attached restaurant and we were close enough to enjoy the music without having to be part of the crowd. Beds and pillows are comfortable and the room was spacious with all the amenities needed for a longer stay. The three star review is due to the limitations on in room dining. The food comes from the attached restaurant (H. Toads) and while decent was over priced ($100 for two entrees and a appetizer) and they wouldn't deliver alcohol, so no beer with dinner. The pool area is also somewhat dirty. The pool water seemed hazy and greenish in color and the music blasting the pool was way too loud. With that said, I'd stay there again, knowing what to expect and what to be prepared for. read more

I went here on a business trip. I got a horrible view that overlooked the top of the roof and a wall. That's room 520. The swim up bar pool was thickly clouded. It looked dirty. Thick hair was floating in it. My toilet broke after using it once. No it wasn't clogged or near being so. I tried calling the front desk multiple times to ask for maintenance, but they never answered. I finally got irritated and went down stairs to the front desk and they said they'd been "too busy" to answer. I finally got the maintenance guy there to fix it. The air conditioning broke in the conference room. They only had 2 chefs so they just proved donuts/pastries to our group. I will look elsewhere in the future. read more

Wonderful place to stay on the lake. We loved it. The pool bar was great and having H. Toads made things super easy for meals. We loved the band that played Friday night. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 stars was the maid service. Around 2pm my wife and I returned from the pool to change in our room. The house keeper knocked on the door and I asked if she could come back later. She replied with something of the terms that were her last room. Pretty much saying no. Then shortly after she knocks on someone else's door. I don't know about you, but last I checked hotels are supposed to offer good hospitality and that lady ruined it for me. Needed a place to sleep. Wife looked online and found this place. Absolutely very few guests this time of year, maybe five at best. All were put in rooms back to back. You would think a little separation. We could have saved money with Hotels.com but asked if we could have a lake view for the night since they weren't busy. The desk help 'Cathy' said she did not know if the room was a lake view. Cathy gave us instructions to the parking area. When I went to park the car, the room card did not work. So I backed up and drove back and let her know the card did not work. She stated did you try both cards? I said no, my wife is with our baggage and had the other card. She then programed the card and said it should work. We finally got to our room and it overlooked a parking lot. I called and she said it would be an upcharge. So she knew. If there was a hotel near this area we would have left right then. We had dinner at the attached restaurant. Two customers, and lots of TV's. Place was dead, but we ordered cod and French fries. It came in a basket and we order two drinks. $74.00 including tip. Almost $250.00 for an 8 hour stay. So maybe in the summer it becomes a party house, but as a hotel/resort, drive further and stay at hotel that wants customers. read more

Nice hotel right on the lake. Swim up bar and good jacuzzi. Didn't eat there so have no opinion on the restaurant food but the conference we attended there had good snacks and a really nice lunch. They have a stage at Horny Toads which is part of the property. Friday and Saturday are DJ and live entertainment. It goes to about 1a so if you want peace and quiet make sure to book your room away from the lake side. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again. read more

Checked in my first night and sat out in the hot tub for a couple hours and then when walking past the front desk was greeted by a lady who was bitter and not friendly to myself and the party. Wasn't sure why since we had checked in 2-3 hours before the so called "greeting". Would not recommend and would like to know the associate at the front desk at the time so she can be trained with customer service since I work with representatives of customer service representatives across the nation. Other than that all other staff was very nice and responsive to any questions/concerns that we had. Would recommend but not if the older lady at the front desk is working. read more

This is the nicest room I have ever stayed in. I got a great deal off the internet and decided to stay here for the weekend. -Beautiful view of the lake, can't beat waterfront property. -The rooms are very nice, we were really impressed. Had small kitchen, fireplace, nice bed, washer/dryer, spacious bathroom/shower, remote control shades, walk out patio, and just an overall beautiful room. -You can rent boats downstairs, so you won't have to travel far to get on the lake. -They do have access to a few bar/grill places. -Staff was friendly and didn't have any issues during my stay. I would recommend coming here for a nice getaway, they do a great job here. read more

I recently visited Camden on the Lake in the beginning of the off season, (Mid-November) and was very surprised with the quality of the hotel and the room. First off the room offers a spacious living room with a mini kitchen and fireplace. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The bathroom is large, and offers a walk in shower and a small flat screen. While the bedroom offers a balcony and has an extremely comfortable bed with high quality linens. I was very surprised by the build quality of the hotel, very nice carpet, It feels so soft on your feet. The room also offers a washer/dryer combo, which would be great for longer stays. I have heard reviews that this hotel isn't the place to stay if you are looking for a quiet weekend during the summer season due to the proximity to the Horny Toad Bar, I assume that it can get loud here at night however if thats a problem it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get a non lake view room. I plan on going back next summer and will update my review, overall if you are looking for a nice relaxing get away I don't think you will be disappointed with Camden on the Lake. read more

We did have a few issues during our stay, we paid in full before we got there and they tried to charge us more which at checkout the resolved that issue and apologized, computers can be finicky sometimes. We went to this lovely place back in July and I am just now getting around to writing a review. We had to get out of Cali, and Lake of the Ozarks seemed to be one of the few places that was starting to get back to normal with the pandemic craziness. We called these guys the day before we wanted to stay, everyone else was booked to the hilt, but they made sure they were able to accommodate us. Clean rooms, great service, tons of things to do and an incredibly low price (coming from California, that is!). Will go there again for sure, it was a wonderful vacay. read more

Report on accessibility amenities ...The wheelchair accessible room is lacking in features. The peep hole is at standard height. The closet hanging rod is too high. Also, there is a DVD player and receiver in another upper cabinet by the TV that is also out of reach. The bathroom is fine and meets all usual requirements except the shower shelf is 6' high. See photo of kitchenette for the microwave in the room. When I attempted to use a bell cart to carry in our bags a wheel fell off. There was a worker nearby who saw me struggling with it and did nothing to help. The ice machines are only on floors 2 and 6...no where else. A worker on the elevator with me commented on how inconvenient the ice machines are. We brought our Roku stick but the wall mounted TV only has USB ports in the back. The TV also wouldn't work on check in and maintenance had to come in to reset it. While working on the TV he offered that the chief complaint (aside from tv issues) is that there is not enough hot water to go around. He said each floor only has two water heaters. He advised to plan accordingly around morning hot-water rush hour. Speaking of water...I also found a large deposit of mold in this weird bathroom closet. It looks like this closet used to house a small washer/dryer combo set. I placed a bag on the floor of this closet before i noticed the mold. When I picked up the bag the straps were wet. I reported this to the front desk clerk and she simply wrote it down. That's it. No apology or offers of relocating. (There was also probably not another room available for us anyway) . When on a business trip you are stuck with few options. Not a place I would recommend at all. read more

Camden on the Lake is the best resort to relax and enjoy a few days off at the Lake of the Ozarks! We loved our recently remodeled room with a nice kitchenette and living room, large bathroom, comfortable bedroom and cozy balcony. We appreciated the "charging hub" to charge all of our devices in one place. The combo washer/dryer came in handy, as well. H. Toads Restaurant offered delicious dining choices and a lovely view of the sunset. The service was excellent and we especially enjoyed our servers Fareesh and Brody, who made recommendations, refilled drinks and instinctively knew what we might need before we even realized it. We enjoyed browsing through the lovely boutiques that offered upscale brands like Yeti, Spartina, Scout, Simply Southern...just to name a few. We returned home ready to jump back into work and we definitely look forward to returning SOON! read more

Paid a resort fee and free to the public strippers and their paying papa arrived smoking pot in their g strings. 2 lights didn't work or loose and blinking in the suite. 1 day the maid didn't come and I had to fetch my own toilet paper. I reached out to them twice. They didn't respond. Broken curtain with blood stains on it, vomit smelling carpet, mold in the pool, and I was able to write Hi in the dust on the make up mirror. This is definitely the nicest hotel at the lake. It's gorgeous, top of the line. The bed was so soft and amazing. I love down comforters and this reminded me a little of mine back home. There is a bar area with a small kitchen, real plates, silverware and wine glasses. There is a built in fireplace in the living room. The bathroom is beautiful. It even has a TV in it. Bonus for my husband since I told him the TV was off limits. I didn't specify in the bathroom. There is a little patio deck to overlook the marina and also the band stage of whoever is playing. Most bands were pretty good, but don't expect to go to bed until at least 10pm. read more

*PLEASE READ* I was recently here on a 4-day vacation with my family and our stay at Camden was just okay. The hotel had a beautiful lobby and a gorgeous view of the lake, but we had a couple of problems with our stay. First, the hotel pool/swim up bar was extremely cold. The water was so unbearably cold that it made swimming unpleasant and everyone would sit around the pool and just put there feet in. We asked to turn the heater on in the pool, but the worker said they couldn't. We were there for 4 nights and never utilized the pool like we wished we could've. Second, the coffee bar in the lobby closes at 10 am which is way too early, especially after a night of partying. Third, the room service came way too early in the morning(9:30) and knocked on our door while we were still sleeping. Lastly, room service barely cleaned our room. It seemed they didn't even change out the sheets or pillowcases each night and there were times where we would come back to our room and the room was not clean at all. Overall, we had a fun time but some of these things made our experience a little disappointing. read more

Beautiful king suite we stayed in on the 6th floor. Awesome view of the lake, had a band playin right below our patio. It was loud if you want to sleep but, free concert. Food at the connected restaurant h.toads was good. The most comfortable bed I think I've ever slept in. Didn't want to wake up. Room was great, had everything and more. The washer dryer combo in the room was kind of a pain to get clothes to dry. Boat rental on site. Party atmosphere, especially directly across the cove from hotel is a massive bar, loud music. I just drank on my patio and watched the boats come in and out. Will return if back in the area. Wouldn't suggest kids come on the weekends, lots of drunks around. read more

So ashamed of myself for taking this long to write a review! I visited this place in March 2011 with the significant other. SO romantic. GORGEOUS rooms...marble everything with a gorgeous outside patio thing, with dishes, utensils, pots & pans, dishwasher & dryer! SUPER NICE staff. It was actually snowing when we were here! So not much outdoor activities (as we expected going there in March), but they had an out door heated jacuzzi. They have a convenient breakfast/coffee shop in the lobby. LOVED this resort. I can honestly say this is THE BEST resort I've stayed at. WHY ARE NOT MORE PEOPLE REVIEWING THIS RESORT?!?! The only complaint I have is that the music was extremely loud at night. I'm pregnant and we have three kids, so we weren't there to party, so the loud music until 1am was a little annoying.
