How to lose a good customer over less than a dollar! I often…read moreshop at Burney True Value Hardware as it is convenient and I have always liked to support local businesses over the chains like Home Depot and Lowes. Today, was my FINAL shopping experience at Burney. I had purchased a few screws for a project a week or so ago and didn't need them. Today, I tried to return them and buy some more items. I thought I had the receipt in the bag but I did not seem to have it with me. I asked if I could return them without the receipt. The total for the four screws was a whopping .82. I was told that they couldn't return them without the receipt as they have hundreds of SKU numbers and they wouldn't know which one I was returning. This made logical sense until I looked at my bag a little further. The gentleman that helped me pick out the screws didn't seem to write down the SKU number on my bag! How was it rung up when I purchased it? I assume by some generic key that charged me the .82, the same generic key that could have refunded my .82! Sorry Burney you lost me for good over this one, shame on your staff!

The tech called Stihl and sent them pictures trying to get them to deny doing the warranty. The saw had a scratch from where it sits on my trailer. The tech told Stihl I did some crazy stuff when he didn't even know. So Stihl denied it. I called Stihl and they told me they don't know why the tech called and sent them pictures trying to get it denied but they said yea clear warranty problem. I've emailed the store several times trying to speak with a manager and the won't respond. They kept my saw for two months before they called me and said we can't fix under warranty. Now I have to take saw to different shop out my area. Sorry place. Hate I spent so much money there

Compared to Amazon the warmies here were $6 cheaper per Warmie. Happy and surprised, we saved almost $50 from buying them from here. Of all places. Then there's the upstairs apparel section of the store. I found nice hats, gloves, home / boat decor, and a beautiful heavy duty thermal my man loved. It's not pictured due to him wearing it immediately upon seeing it. Now it's in the laundry. This place has excellent gift items, necessities, and prices that are super reasonable. I was surprised they had things on sale also. Great place. Great gifts. I'm sure a gift card could benefit the whole family.

We went in to see if they had supplies to repair the line and I guess the guys working there overheard me and my wife talking and offered me a ride to the auto parts store. I thought kindness in this world was gone but I was wrong they took me there and brought me back and assisted me in finding the clamps I needed . These are a great bunch of guys that work here. Thankyou all for the kindness and friendship you showed us . Anyone visiting please go by and check them out. We made it home on the repairs.

Harbor Freight billed me for several items that never shipped, and shipped several items I never…read moreordered. All from one particular warehouse. After 11 days of begging harbor freight via email, phone calls and social media, I have yet to be given any response at all. * Two items came up missing from the Dillon, SC docs (I know this because the label was created, which is what happens moments before it is attached to the box an placed on the FedEx outgoing pallet...FedEx never received the box). * The same warehouse neglected to include all the items in a different shipment (different tracking number) * On a third shipment (yet a different tracking number, the same warehouse included several packages of zip ties I never ordered. Harbor Freight refuses to address the issue * I have contacted customer service several times by phone and many times by email over the past 11 days. * I reached out to their social media department via facebook * I called the Dillon, SC warehouse (since your customer service refused to do anything at all) This is a clear cover up, as Harbor Freight has refused to address any of these issues for after 11 days of me continuously trying to get a response via phone, email, facebook. * Air Impact Wrench: Mysteriously disappeared from the shipping dock, and they refuse to fulfill the order, even though they charged me for it. * Air Ratchet: Mysteriously disappeared from the shipping dock, and you refuse to fulfill the order even though they charged me for it. * Duct Tape: missing item supposed to be included with the Air Oil * Zip Ties: Mysteriously arrived from Dillon SC without me ordering at all I have had to open an investigation with FedEx, and have to wait for a billing cycle to open up Fraud / Theft investigations with my Credit Card Company I seriously think they are going out of business, and just don't care about the consequences that other companies avoid like the plague.

I ordered a metal 70-lb floor safe ONLINE for a great price $130.00…read more Unfortunately, the package arrived with MANY PARTS MISSING -- the hardware to attach the safe to the floor/wall; the plastic battery cover and key hole cover. In shipping anything can happen. This heavy box did arrive damaged, and was flimsily held together by a plastic strip, the top and bottom of the box open. The single adhesive tape across the top and bottom had lost its adhesiveness. So these things might have dropped out during shipping. SO, okay, time to return. Customer service was nice on the phone and sent me a shipping label via email, and I returned it to North Carolina...and asked for a new replacement. So far so good. We understand that things happen in shipping and items may have fallen out. BUT when the REPLACEMENT arrived, I realized something was wrong with the handling from this Dillon, SC location...so I decided to Yelp, because the REPLACEMENT WASN'T NEW and clearly was a returned item. Because 1) Only 1 of 2 instruction booklets were in the box. 2) A shelf had been pre-assembled 3) Bolts were loose in the box and not in a factory-sealed bag. Batteries were supposed to be included, and weren't. 4) Bits and pieces of styrofoam, clearly not the original foam form, as there weren't enough of the foam for the size of the item. 5) The box had a fist-sized hole in it, and had a doughy texture, as it it had been dried after having a "wet" "watery" experience. Mostly importantly 6) The latch was limp, clearly broken. The electronics failed to lock the safe. The quality control from this location should be investigated. Because we were expecting a new item, not someone else's return. We were expecting a pristine box with correct packaging safeguards; and with all the parts included. We paid for a new metal safe that worked, and we got someone's broken sloppy seconds. I have trusted Harbor Freight in the past, but this experience has damaged this trust. CUSTOMER SERVICE ON PHONE was mixed as well. First time return, we got a shipping label via email and easily returned the safe via FedEx. Second time, I got a shipping label via email apparently missing tracking number digits, and Fed Ex declined to schedule a pickup for the return until the error was corrected. When I called Harbor Freight customer service 800 number again, the female associate told me I could not have gotten a return label via email, it wasn't policy, I was lucky it happened the first time, and she had to send me a plastic shipping label via snail mail. I find this weird for an online purchase, and inconsistent with my previous and satisfactory return experience, but I agreed to receive the snail mail return label. Just take it back, please. OVERALL - Poor quality control. Damaged items shipped as new. Boxes repacked with insufficient safety materials. Missing items. Just sad way to do business, Harbor Freight. This item was a gift to my elderly mother who had been burglarized previously, so this transaction was a very disappointing experience for her and well as myself. Refund please.
