I have strength trained at several gyms, Big Blue Strength is the best! Melissa is the best trainer, very knowledgeable, kind and caring.

Big Blue is where I go to get stronger. The best trainers and coaches. Reasonably priced and worth it.

The place is grimey, nobody cleans their machines after using them. The lack of safety is insane to me -- multiple people just throwing weights, not in areas that it is meant for. People walking under, through, around your squat rack/machines is so unsafe. There is so much non-working equipment. It is way too expensive to be constantly busy and never have enough room to workout. Icing on the cake is I requested a cancellation due to moving out of state. Emailed, called MULTIPLE times, and consistently got ignored by Jordan, the one person that manages accounts. He requested multiple forms of proof of move, which I happily provided, and again was ignored. My card continues to try to be processed, I have called and emailed yet another person multiple times, and get ignored. Extremely unprofessional and quite possibly the most ridiculous place ever.

This is a great place to work out. This isn't the kind of place where they are in your face the whole time. I have been coming here for 5 months as of now and I can tell you I feel a lot stronger and in much better physical condition. They custom tailor the workouts to fit your needs and wants. There are several people here from all different ages and physical conditions. They also help people who are recovering from injuries. They also offer some classes in the evening, though I don't know much about them because I can only work out in the morning. I have never stuck with a personal trainer or even on specific gym for as long as I have here. I like the staff and they make each day different so you don't plateau or get bored. I like this place so much that now my mother in law, sister in law, and even one of her friends and their mother come too.

But you know what, for some reason, I return, at least once each week, for more. The staff - fun, knowledgeable, and relaxed. The space - a nicely converted garage, not too big, not too small. The equipment - modern, well maintained, cleaned regularly. The clientele - other than myself, respectable, varied in age, body-type, agility, and athleticism, with a good gender balance. The workout plan - classes (mornings, evenings, and weekends) of 15-20 pain lovers do an hour of circuit training, muscle confusion centered, varied exercises, with little rest, and with lots of music. Pay as you go, buy a 10 pack (my preference) or pay per month for unlimited. Clients also have the option to pay a premium for one on one training per appointment. Regular doses of this stuff help keep a boy/girl sane, and regular doses of this lead to a well earned visit to one our Yelp favorites for food and drink. It's all part of the grand and tasty cycle of life.

Well, all my weaknesses were quickly exposed. And Ivy was sure to point this out to me in her 'tough-love' style. The constructive criticism resonated and I decided to make mobility a priority. After 3 years of hot yoga and private sessions with Ivy, I feel the best I have in 20 years. I'm a skier and a golfer - the mobility improvements have made me significantly better at both. And more importantly, I can touch my toes and just move better in daily life. This progress has come with a lot of pain and suffering, but it's been worth it. Ivy has been invested in my improvement, which has made all the difference. In her words, I went from a mangy dog on the side of the road to now an average functioning human. Haha Lastly, there's no better way to cap off a stressful day than sweating out all your problems at 115 degrees, contemplating if you'll actually die in the process. 10/10 recommend.
