We just had our whole house redone and were initially very pleased with the experience. Ernesto was great. The installers, however, were not. We had lvp done on our basement stairs and ended up 5 short. They told us that wasn't their problem. We now have to wait another 2 weeks for them to come back to complete the stairs. We were also told that haul away of our old carpet was included. They left a houseful of old carpet on our front lawn because "it smells". It's 25 year old carpet that has pet stains which is why we were replacing it. Now we have all that old carpet and padding sitting on my grass until next week when we have to pay for bulk pickup to get it. It's just sad that what started out as a great experience has turned into a very bad experience by the people installing, who we learned are contractors and don't actually work for Big Bob's. read more

We chose Big Bob's to replace a large amount of flooring in our new home, primarily due to their reasonable quote, however we were extremely unhappy with the results of the new hardwood installed by the contractors. The pictures speak for themselves as the quality of the install was messy, careless, and lacked detail. At many spots where the floor met the various bedroom door moldings, as well as all areas around the top stairwell pillars, there was cracking, unevenness, wood defects, excess staining, and even nails sticking out of the floor. When we notified our sales contact, Mike Elyachar, he initially didn't respond to us, so we eventually got him on the phone. He had an apathetic attitude and didn't seem concerned that we were unhappy. He eventually got us scheduled to have someone fix some of the issues but not all were addressed fully. We will not be using this company again and want to warn others before they spend their hard-earned money with Big Bob's. read more

First, Janelle lied about the install crews being actual Big Bobs employees. The disaster of a hardwood install, holes in walls, destroyed trim and door, wrong finish and incomplete management follow up. 3 day install turned into a 3 week repair nightmare. I did get our tires reimbursed after they left our driveway covered with debris and nails. Please stay away, as management still has not accepted responsibility, nor apologized for all the inconvenience. Just another day and their rating speaks for itself. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My wife and I are building a house and needed about 1500 sf of carpet and laminate flooring installed. As described in other reviews, the sales people are very helpful, until there is a problem. Our install went fairly quickly but as you will see down below, I'm pretty sure the installers have never installed shoe molding before. There is a broken piece of laminate that they just ignored and didn't install a new piece. There was a defective piece in the middle of the room that they left installed. Additionally, I have surveillance cameras in the house and the installers were wandering around in areas that they had no business going into. One of them also helped themselves to some supplies (cleaning materials) I had on a workbench nearby where they were working. I'm still waiting for someone to call me back and schedule corrections. Now I'm doubting that will happen. What a shame. Please, if you read this, go somewhere else (My 12 yo could do a better job). read more

Where to begin. I originally got quoted around $6k for 600sq ft of laminate removal and carpet installation. I emailed, back, no response. So then I tried calling several times, no one ever answered or called back. So my bf had to physically go into the store to get a new estimate for just 300sq ft. They said "don't worry we will email her". Didn't get the email. Had to call a couple times again to get an email, and new price was $5k? I cut my project in half for a slight discount of $1k, what a joke esp when I could see the original breakdown of carpet, pad, labor and removal per sq ft. The math aint mathing. We had multiple flooring types removed from our entire home and LVP installed throughout. Big bobs, moved furniture cleaned up after themselves were very responsive and I could not recommend this business more. Steve Roper was absolutely incredible with assisting us in this process from start to finish. The flooring we selected was ordered and install started within two weeks. Very poor install, after contacting Bob's they refused to send someone out to correct their mistake, This was for an Unused guestroom, so we didn't walk on it for many months after the install. After we had a guest, we noticed the carpet waves. Other carpet can go many years without moving, if at all. One year in, and it's completely loose. I would give them minus 100 stars if possible. Part of my reno was sanding, staining to match surrounding wood, and poly coating a fairly small hallway. They used wrong colors of stain, said no such correct color existed, splashed stain on white trim in the entire hallway, came at wrong times, never called when they were late, left a stream of stain under a door and left it unstained when "fixing it," and sanded my oak floors THREE times. Never got the finish to not be gritty. Found that they blew a fuse to two rooms, then they left without telling me or fixing it. I'm all for hiring people from everywhere, but the only way we could communicate was through Google Translate! I called their store and there was zero Support when this happened Saturday. one of the guys came out unannounced on Mother's Day, taped and stained three sloppy swatches in the middle of our main hallway, then left without saying anything. their part of the job has delayed my project so much and it is beyond frustrating. This place is a total joke. Thankfully my contractor fired them from the job today, but they are The Worst. read more

Plentiful selection of carpets without being completely overwhelming! Great sales prices and even better customer service. We had 3 bedrooms carpeted a month ago and we couldn't be happier! Install was scheduled week after purchase (super quick turnaround). 2 men arrived on time for install, cleaned up their mess before they left and did a superb job on laying the new carpet. We opted to remove the old carpeting ourselves to save a few $$ but they are reasonably priced on all services. Our #1 fan of the new carpet and Big Bob's is the Schnauzer! read more

The format of getting a quotes involves: 1. Go to store and pick out desired carpet samples to take home 2. Have in home estimate by measuring desired carpeted area 3. Receive quote from sales associate with chosen carpet + measurements. My review is strictly for the process of working with the sales associate, I didn't purchase through this company for this specific reason. PART 1: Sales associate had the store address wrong on bottom of email, so I drove 30 minutes to the wrong address. When I finally arrived to the showroom the sales associate Jessica wasn't apologetic for providing the wrong address. Then when I asked for the specification of carpet; i.e. carpet weight, material, density, and height. Jessica pointed to the sticker and said it should be written right there. FYI the sticker did not have all this information which is why I asked. I was annoyed but proceeded with the process. PART 2: Installer came out and measured, no issues with installer. But the measurement came back 200 sq ft more than 3 other estimates. PART 3: Jessica sent quote over with one of the two samples picked out. She called to follow up on email. I mentioned the carpet measurement was more than my other estimates. She immediately said my team knows what they are doing and if that's what they measured that is what it is. I then asked her to give an updated quote with stairs ala cart because they are hardwood underneath and we might just refinish them. She gave me a deep sigh and said "well then I would have to write up another quote" (me thinking isn't that the basis of your job). There was a long pause after she said that, so I asked "is that a no on getting us an updated quote so we can compare apples to apples on providers." She finally agreed to do it, I asked for a time table of when to expect it. She stated the next day. I never got that quote and it has been 5 days. A company's sales associate should be at minimum be able to answer questions about the product, provide correct address to store, and not complain about putting quotes together which is the main purpose of the job. read more

The new floors and carpet are beautiful and were reasonably priced. The crew who did the installation were professional, pleasant and cleaned up after themselves. I had a great experience purchasing carpet earlier this year. Ernesto was awesome to work with and the Install was seamless. Fast forward, I went in to purchase tile for a bath remodel. The associate was knowledgeable about design and gave me great ideas. She told me there would be no problem getting the tile installed before the holidays. I had a in home measurement scheduled and they were a no show. I called that day and asked for my sales person and was told she was off that day but the person who answered the phone said she would check on the measurement appointment and call me back. Never heard from her. I called the next day and asked for my sales person, she was not in yet so I asked for her to call me. She never did. I called back later in the day and reached her. Bottom line- whoops, sorry, not sure why you didn't get in the system for the measurement but they can do it in a week and whoops, sorry, there's no installers who can have the job done by the holidays, my mistake. We had a great, no hassle experience picking out material. Scheduled quickly & showed up as scheduled. But my basement countertop was damaged and that's when the run around started. Then noticed chipped paint on walls(which they said was standard & they could touch up the following day, without knowing the color). I then received a call wanting to discuss, I later returned call & left a message & have never heard back.... Ernesto sure made it seem easy, until there were issues. My experience with Big Bob's Flooring can be summarized as: - Unreliability. Not once but twice the sales person failed to order the materials. - Lack of communication/response. The sales person had a 50% response rate to emails and phone calls. - Reschedules. The installation had to be rescheduled multiple times due to the sales person failing to order materials. - Tardiness. The manager told me the installation team would start early, then the installation coordinator said they would arrive by 10. They arrived at 10:50am. By arriving at 10:50 and leaving for 1.5 hours, they left my house at 10:20pm - as opposed to 6 if they had been on time and prepared. - Unprepared. I was assured the job could easily be done in a day, which 11.5 hours later it was. The installation team also showed up without all of the materials and were gone for 1.5 of those 11.5 hours in order to get those materials. - Inconvenience. Because of the sales person failing to do their job, my mom was not able to live in the space for two whole weeks. This alone was an unaceptable inconvenience. Because the installers were at my house until 10:20pm on a Friday night you can imagine the inconvenience.  In addition to the fact that was someone was available and waiting for them to arrive for hours due to their tardiness. All in all, this was a horrible experience and I would suggest looking elsewhere for flooring. read more

Demanding full Payment upfront = no motivation to complete the job well and in a timely manner. We waited 6 extra weeks to get carpet appropriately measured and installed, and had to do a lot of babysitting to ensure the job was done right. When we asked for a small partial credit it was denied by the manager. Big Bib's is willing to let $85 stand in the way of a more satisfied customer. We have placed a complaint with the BBB about this manipulative practice. read more

A lot of carpet and was getting almost 1900sq ft of carpet! We just moved in and needed carpet in a hurry and they were able to install our carpet within a week! Big Bob himself even helped us figure what carpet to get and was very informative. Jason and another guy came out and was super friendly and did an amazing job and finished in 2 days! We went to home depot and about 4 other carpet places and liked the carpet at bog bobs the best and the carpet installation date was kuch faster. Most places said 3 weeks or maybe even 4 but Big Bobs came out and measured our house the following day and installed it just a few days after!! I love our carpet and the job they dif! The workers stations are a bit further inside the building so you might have to walk a bit further in so they see you but I was helped while i was roaming around looking for carpet. Some of them are a bit shy at first but get comfortable with you pretty quick. Definitely check them out! read more
