They then informed her that the only replacement available would cost an additional $60. How does a business that specializes in oil changes not have the proper tools or ability to remove a standard oil filter without creating an additional expense for the customer? It felt less like a solution and more like an upsell after the vehicle was already in their care. A routine oil change should not turn into a surprise charge because the staff can't remove an oil filter. Customers trust Jiffy Lube to perform basic maintenance professionally and competently. Unfortunately, this experience raised serious concerns about the quality of service, technical ability, and customer care at this location.
