We went to watch a Motor City Rockers game. We were able to buy general admission seats and sit right on the glass. That was a cool experience. It was pretty decent quality hockey. The stadium feels like its on the older side. The men's bathroom had a pretty solid layer of dirt throughout it (which I kind of expect at a local hockey rink.) One critique I have is that when you enter and go through security, they don't have signs or anything to help guide you to find your way into the stadium. We had to ask and kind of just figure it out ourselves. read more

I came alone to this location for the 1st time.. my fish was too crispy. Waitress very politely asked would I like a new one made. I stated a Big Boy sandwich alone is good no fries bc the fries were excellent and so was the house salad. Both managers Brianna and Jackie apologized and constantly checked on me. They were AWESOME and the store was really clean including the bathroom. Family atmosphere. I will return and bring my sorority sisters with me. read more

One of the largest ice arenas in the area, Big Boy hosts a ton of tournaments. The rinks are old and worn down, the locker rooms are filthy and the benches small. If you are watching a game here, dress warmly and plan to get there early because there aren't many benches for spectators. On the plus side, there is a decent bar in the big rink and a large concession stand and very competent hockey shop. The fries are really good, as is the popcorn and the beer. Long story short, it's an old and decrepit rink with several sheets of ice and a roller rink. read more

I go all the way back to old Fraser Hockey Land. This place has been part of my life for a long time. I'm writing a review on my Motor City Rockers experience. Very entertaining hockey. The team really works hard on giving a good time. I went to the in house tailgate party $2 Blue Lights and $1 hot dogs and $1 popcorn. The beer was cold, dogs were fresh and the popcorn salty. Couldn't ask for more. Parking was free the lot was in good shape. The building is older put well kept. Restrooms were clean. Every time I go in there all my great memories come to me. Referees were allowing players to fight without issuing penalties during a tournament. 11 year old children and this is the type of play that they allow, what a shame. A disgrace to the development of children to play such a glorious sport. read more

Went to watch motor city rockers vs Columbus game. Not crowded at all and got to see the game in a front row so that was very exciting. The arena's exterior and interior needs some upgrades but it was nice size inside. My daughter 8 years old enjoyed the game as well. Today was actually a family day so there was a tiny kids zone that handing out balloon animals and such for free and which was very nice . Also it was great to see Michigan team won. read more

Arena was very nice and clean. Rink was very organized and we found our locker room quickly. The whole facility was clean for the most part. The locker room bathrooms were very dirty and the ice on rink five, was horrible! In the Zamboni corner, the ice was very rough and bumpy, making it hard for forwards and defenseman to pick up the puck. Pro shop had lots of good sticks and materials, but it was very overpriced. read more

Cute little arena with friendly staff and good pricing on concessions and merchandise. We saw the Motor City Rockers hockey team. Loved the General Admission seating so we could sit right at the glass. The arena is tucked away and tricky to find. Maybe adding some signage would help direct guests. There are multiple rinks in the building and it is not obvious where to go. There were some concessions at the rink but much better food options in the lobby. We took advantage of the skate with the players and got lots of autographs. We will be back for future games! read more

First of all - this is a hockey arena, it will be on the cooler side - dress appropriately. Watch out for the driveway, not real clear on where to turn in. Went to the concessions on the concourse and got popcorn, pretzel, and pop * $9. Excellent pricing, but except the pretzel was cold and inedible. (Concessions closed before end of game). There is a bar - but I didn't go there. There is an elevator. Seats are general admission and looks like any seat is a good seat. There is multiple security personnel present. My personal issue - many kids running all over the place and bring disruptive to other paying guests. Not only is it irresponsible, it's not safe for the kids. read more

Nice small facility to watch minor league hockey. Was a fun experience. They had a nice bar inside as well.

This place needs some renovations fast. Whether it's the exterior gutters filled with weeds or the chipped and cracked everything or the interior worn down amenities you really can't find anything that screams clean or safe. Really wish this venue wasn't a dump and we are glad we didn't fall through the wooden press board floor spot or broken seats. read more

I skated "Rink A" during a weekday open skate just a few days ago. First the pros: Lots of parking. Daytime weekday open skate is convenient. Pricing for open skate is in line with other rinks I've been to in Detroit metro area. Lady working the front desk was very nice. Cons: Ice was in bad shape. Really chewed up, bumpy and grooved - especially along the boards. Worst condition of any indoor rink I've been to. What it looked like was that someone had laid the smallest amount of water over the ice but didn't run the blade on the zamboni. *shrug* Also, holy moly is it cold in that rink! Noticeably much colder than other places I've been. read more

I love these old historical hockey venues. I couldn't find when it was built, but it goes back to the 2001 CEHL at least. Don't see many of these old arenas around anymore. Very cool and hope it stays around. read more

First of all, they don't turn on the lights in the parking lot. Sounds trivial, but it's so dangerous because you literally cannot see anything, including people and the giant potholes. I don't understand what the issue is... Once you get into the arena you are met with literally the worst locker rooms you've ever seen. The toilets and showers are beyond filthy and old, the roof leaks in the rooms at the priority arena. And the smell. They haven't repainted the ice in so long, many of the rinks you can barely see the lines. Some rinks you can't even see the crease,which as a center, it's fairly important. read more

Despite their mandated mask sign at the front door, they do not enforce it. There were more players, coaches, and parents NOT wearing masks than were wearing masks. The staff should be enforcing this. read more

Place is nasty . Not clean and the big boy concessions area and food nasty and unsafe. They don't wear gloves or clean and sanitize. They let anyone back in the kitchen and derive food with no gloves after taking cash . Bathrooms need cleaning . Its been 2 years since I last visited and It looks like someone has finally started to update Fraser. New boards, ceilings, doors, lots of much needed repair. I have allot of great memory's playing here. I grew up playing hockey here, for over 10 years I was here 3 nights a week. So to see it neglected was kinda of a bummer. It's a huge facility with lots of amenities like a pro shop, snack bar, bar, arcade games and some type of shooting machine. Still it's on the lower end in comparison with the nicer rinks in the area. They have made some improvements, it's just going to need allot more. The most important part, the ice, seems allot better then before. What use to happen was the ceilings would drip water causing small bumps or pimples on the ice, awful to skate with stuff like that on the ice. I could go on and on of how bad it was before, I hope the owners keep updating it, because it's starting to become nice again. read more

Huge ice rink, also regular skating rink too! Big parking lot and easy access to all rinks and bathrooms, as well as rental center.

My son's played hockey out of here for a few years. Prices are decent for team hockey, but the roof is always leaking and the parking lot is full of holes. Make sure you bring a winter coat, hat, gloves and a blanket if you are going to watch a hockey game. Always super cold. Way colder than any other rink you will go to???? And all games seem to start late. Even if you are the 1st scheduled game of the day???? Pictures look good, but definitely don't give the whole picture!!!! They put some money into it the last few years, but need to dump a whole lot more into it to make it a decent rink. read more

So disappointed with this arena. My grandson has been playing in the USA vs Canada tournament there all weekend. I have watched all of the games through Live Barn. He is in the championship game and now there is no way to watch that game. I also know that some other grandparents who were excited to watch the championship game are also very disappointed. The facility is Large comprising 5 rinks. That said it takes a huge amount of capital to maintain and update the facility. The rinks are old and the facility is dated when you compare to the new rinks around town but one has to remember that this is one of the original facilities for hockey. There is new management at the rink that has put money back into the facilities. The main things done so far are what you cannot see: the roof, the ice coils and the level was of the ice. Recently they have improved the lobby with more amenities and a more approachable atmosphere. Is this the newest rink? No but is it on its way back? Yes. Don't judge based on history. read more

Disappointed that Detroit could have sponsored a major hockey tournament for 10-11 year old boys and the earlier games were live broadcasted from the smaller arenas, but when the championship game was played at Fraser Hockey Land Ice Arena, they wouldn't broadcast the game live. Extremely disappointing and shows a poor lack of planning. read more
