Everyone loves Big C! This Liquor Store in "Winter Park" is pretty good. I usually stop by when I'm in the area to see if they have anything rare. I've found some interesting bottles here that are "VIP" at the big box stores. I was looking for something specific once and asked and they actually had some in the back. Not sure why it wasn't on the shelf, but glad I asked about it. Since it is independently owned, they may jack up the prices in comparison to ABC and Total Wines. However, they're not as bad as some of the other shops around town. I've found some rarities here and have been happy with my purchases and with the service. read more

Blink and you'll miss this is a gem. Located in the Luckys/Ross parking lot, it's tucked away and unassuming. Lots of craft beers and niche liquor & wine. I came based off of their Instagram story and they exceeded my expectations. Perfect spot to get a good gift of a hard to find or unique bottle. First thing I look for when I enter a business is if their associates are giving stellar customer service and Big C checks that box to a giant T. Second when it comes to liquor stores they must have a great selection of craft beer which Big C has a really good selection in the craft beer category. I am a huge sucker for craft beer because I know that the people who make craft beer out all their blood, sweat, and love into every can that they brew. I have found many gems of craft beer @ Big C Liquor, their craft beer game is on point and if you usually ask them for something they don't have they will try to get it for you. They also have a great selection of all your other alcohol/liquor needs. They are way better than they used to be, but I just bought a New England IPA out of their cooler that was over a year old. Come in, check it out, buy some good beer. I have been looking for a liquor store that has my new fave soju and im so happy to have finally found this place- thanks to a waiter who asked his co-worker where they get their soju's! Lol! This liquor store is the ONLY store in all of Orlando that carried the very last 6 pack of Stella Artois Solstice beer. The man I spoke to over the phone was very nice and he held the 6 pack for me as I made my way there. Very pleasant cashier and smoothe transaction. The store was pretty busy with what seemed like regulars (everyone seemed to know each other). I don't typically go to liquor stores but I would definitely go to this one again. Great selection of beers, probably second best in town only to Knightly Spirits. Seem to get a regular rotation of new stuff, and there's one guy who works there who is actually a beer guy and can help guide you if you're new. If you're not new, trust me you'll figure it out. Just make sure to check the corner near the front of the beer section for specials and hot items. There is a great beer selection hiding in the back of this cramped liquor store. Work your way through the maze and you'll be rewarded with several shelves of big bottle craft beers. They always have very... er... interesting music playing, which usually gets a little bemused grin out of me. The place is really a miniature beer heaven; the wine selection is decent enough, and they do have liquor, but the main draw is definitely the beer. The first time I went in I had an awesome experience! The owner and his son we're extremely pleasant and helpful. The selection of bourbon is great, along with lots of other spirits, beer and wine. I went in for bourbon and found out they do a lot of store picks, which is great to see. Their prices are also very fair, some items even cheaper than other stores. My old man turned me onto Belgium beers, compliments of Tom Moench (from Orange Blossom Pilsner) and Redlight Redlight. During our our firs visit to Big C's this weekend, my old man looked at me disappointedly and sighed that he just couldn't find anything he wanted (men are good at looking forward and center). So, I bent my knees past their comfort zone and looked along the bottom two shelves. Behold, the beers from Belgium appeared. Big C has one of the best beer selections in Orlando and the surrounding areas. I see some other Yelpers have said that the staff doesn't know much about beer and while that might have been true about two to three years ago when I started visiting, I do not agree with that now. There is one employee, in particular, who is always helpful and definitely knows his stuff. He has even taken requests from me in the past and has delivered when he could. Through our friendly chats over the last few years, he has even picked up on what kind of brews I'm looking for and will point stuff out to me when I walk through the door. That sort of personalized service is rare and that's one of the main reasons I keep visiting. They even go the extra mile and post new shipments on Facebook occasionally, which is very helpful and cuts down on the amount of trips and calls I have to make around town. I've also heard people complain about the prices. They are sometimes (not always) a tad pricier than Shamrock, Total Wine, and ABC, but I'm willing to spend the extra dollar or two knowing that I don't have to leave work at 9 am to grab a bottle of something (seriously, it's tough to grab limited brews in town at other establishments if you're not there when the truck comes in) and it'll most likely be there on my way home from work. Also, the aforementioned service kind of seals the deal for me. There are two reasons I am not giving a perfect score. One is that you can't break apart 4 or 6-packs, which is a bummer. I'm the kind of beer drinker that wants to try a little bit of everything and I usually grab a flight when I'm out. Breaking down packs at other shops has served me well over the years and it's always a little disappointing that I can't do that at Big C since they have so much. The other reason is that they sometimes don't get the oddest things. They will get some wild, wild stuff in but have a really hard time getting Cigar City limited bombers; they unfortunately missed out on Bourbon County this past year, too. It's not entirely their fault that they place an order and it doesn't show, but it is disappointing that I can't make it my one-stop shop for beer. Big Cs is the place to come for hand crafted, hard to find beer. Sure there's Total Wine and perhaps the random ABC, but this is the only place I can go and ALWAYS find Spaten, Speigel, HB, and many, many other fine German brew. Prices are about a buck more than you'll find elsewhere on some, like shiner for 8.99 vs 7.99.. but that's why I come here for the stuff I can't get elsewhere. read more

This store looks so shady from the outside, but I swear it's one of the best kept secrets of the area for beer and liquor. There are so many choices of alcohol here that are reasonably priced and always in stock. The beer selection ins't too bad either. I wouldn't recommend buying wine here, however. I think I might like this place better than Total Wine, just because how well they pack in such a good variety of quality beer, and liquors like Scotch. I like how they have the domestic and foreign beers separated, both in the aisles at room temperature, and the refrigerated types. They have some larger bottled beers I don't recall seeing at other places, especially many Florida beers, like Saint Somewhere Brewing. For their Scotch, I see them regularly running some good specials. I haven't bought anything yet, but when I'm in the mood one day, I hope to stop by here. They have everything from Brooklyn to Orlando Brewery and all in between. Imports, rare finds and weird things. They've got it. They carry an average selection of liquor, wine and sake as well. And if you don't see what you want you can request it, and eventually, they'll try to get it for you. The staff is friendly ... and, friendly. They also carry a big selection of variety packs in either 4 to 6 packs of one type of beer with a glass included, or a 12 pk mix up from one brewery. I picked up the Eerie brewery sample pack one day for a decent price and was entertained. They also have 5L mini kegs. Ask for their selection. I picked up a lil keg of Bell's Two Hearted ale today for about 24 bucks. Not bad when you do the math. It's a little dark, the shelves are packed, it's not very well organized, but if you look you can find some amazing stuff. It's a must for craft beer followers. They always have some new glassware. They always have a tub of minis by the register to dig through. Don't bother asking the staff for help. Don't bother buying anything with a rebate because the receipt is useless. Big C liquors has a decent selection of craft beer and overseas imports, with a heavy emphasis on Belgian ales. They have a decent size cooler of cold sixpacks, with a few that are priced individually. They will not allow you to mix matched most of the six pack beers in the cooler. They have a large selection of bombers, but many of them are dusty so be sure to check the bottle day. They of course also carry wine and spirits, but I find myself frequenting the store when I want to try something outside of the section offered by ABC. They don't hide the good stuff either, which drives me crazy (and apparently the brewers aren't big fans of that either). There is a hilarious maze of booze you walk through on the way in and I am sure that is to control theft.
