I've been going to Lazy Moon for over a decade now. It was always a popular choice in college, especially after the bar. I was super excited when I found out there was a location right next to me. I stopped by last weekend to grab a slice with friends. It was crowded but plenty of seating and it was a short wait for food to arrive. I ordered the Jason Moms slice and it was so good! I have always been of the opinion that this is a cool hangout spot with an amazing environment to play group board games, have a good vibe with a large group and just generally enjoy yourself with comically sized pizza. (3.5 stars) I took half a star for some slow service after I was seated. There's a QR code on the table that you can scan to order more drinks and they bring it to your table. Mine took so long, though, that I was done eating by the time it came. I had to ask another server twice about it before getting it. But ANYWAY, the pizza is monstrous. Jason's slice was really good, though the dough was a bit chewy. The water spout at the soda machine is soda water, not still water, FYI. Which I love and prefer, so this isn't a complaint. The feel of this place is super chill several different seating types to choose from: regular table, high tables, counter at the bar, bench seating, outdoor seating. You'll have your choice here. This wasn't a planned event. My step son's car broke earlier, while he was attempting to get something for lunch. We were in the area and it was 2pm and still lunch time. I ordered two specials which consisted of 2 slices of pizza for $11 and 1 slice of two topping pizza (extra cheese and pepperoni) for my step son which was $11 dollar also. We paid and they gave us a number and we self seated ourselves. Within 10 minutes our food arrived. I was amazed on how big the pizza slices were. I got my cheese slice, dressed up in grated parmesan and oregano. The pizza amazingly tasted very New York style, thinly sliced, right amount of tomato sauce , they could've gave a little more cheese. I ate all that i could eat and pretty left a large portion. The restaurant features sports bar atmosphere with a couple of flat screens, a bar with beer dispenser, alcohol, wine and soda dispenser with Coca-Cola products. Great food and friendly staff. We come here often after trivia since it's one of the only places in the area open after 10pm on Thursdays. We've tried a lot of their menu. Not so great: Jason's Mom is alright, but lately it's just been too wet. The chili slice was not great, too soggy. The meat lovers comes loaded, but it is really greasy and you might even say too much meat. Our favorites have to be the cuban slice, down home, and the buff slice. You can't go wrong with those. The calzones are also pretty tasty. You can also create your own if you're not feeling any of the preset toppings. But in comparison, I think the preset ones come with more bang for your buck. Plenty of seating and if you're not that hungry, they have tinfoil for you take wrap up the rest of your slice and take home! Hot tip: get it kiddie cut. I decided to stop in to try the viral chicken Caesar wrap, and I was not disappointed! The atmosphere inside is cool and fun with music and street art inspired walls. They have a decent beer on tap and wine selection to enjoy with your jumbo pizza slices. I was here for the wrap, and it was huge! I am a fan of lazy moon pizza and having boys equals I will have to be there on days I may not be craving pizza. So I got their small Greek salad and tomato soup. Admittedly the soup was cold so I had to ask for it to be reheated and after it came out it was on the hotter end but I have to say the soup didn't do it for me was somehow missing that homemade component. I know I ordered a small salad and they were generous on the sides but so much that I didn't have much actual salad. Came in to try their chicken caesar wrap and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is located in a pretty busy area and they seem to do a lot of business. Came here to work and grab lunch, I've never ate here before. Saw online that they had a Cesar salad wrap and chose to come here! Ordering was fast and simple at the register. They gave me a number to sit at a table and I grabbed a water cup. My wrap came out quickly and was huge! It was soooo tasty, clearly seasoned enough to make every bite taste good. Despite this being a Orlando staple as it seems, I can't believe I haven't tried it until now- and I LOVED it! My go-to slice has been the Buff Pizza, complete with blue cheese, chicken, and buffalo sauce. I love picking it up to go in their custom slice boxes which makes it so easy to carry-out, not to mention it as maybe a 10-minute wait for this custom slice. I could have done without the tomato because it did not stay well on the pizza when taking bites. There was a good amount of cheese on the slice. This is a big difference from the treehugger slice I've had in the past that only gets a light sprinkle of vegan cheese. I left very full and satisfied. I have to say that Lazy Moon is probably the best (non-Chicago style) pizza we have had in our 7 years being down here!! The crust is super thin but is fantastic.
