Dark, dingy, doesn't run air conditioning. House made juice priced higher than some of the "premium" juices. Tiny selection of juices - can't sample any of the brands that aren't house made. Whats the point of going to a brick and mortar if I can't sample any of the juices? One of the flavors in their top 9 house made juices tasted like pepper. read more

I've been a smoker for about 12 years. I finally decided to give vaping a try, and found myself at this shop one day. I love the ambiance, the vape bar is awesome. You can try flavors before you buy. The staff is super knowledgeable, and have great customer service. They really seem committed to helping you quit smoking. They gave me a discount on my unit for giving them my current pack of smokes. Oh and there's a pool table there too. Cool place. read more

I went to another store, and the staff was rather rude, so I stopped in and was overwhelmed by the knowledgeable, and friendly staff. I explained I didn't know much about vaporizer's he took the time to explain everything I needed to know and got me set up with a killer mod and tank, then I was blown away by the taste bar! Lovely shop. Very friendly employees. Hardware selection is lacking. Wasn't blown away by the juice flavors. Been there three times and didnt find what i was looking for each time. They do custom juice mixing which is nice. You can tailor the pg/vg ratios and nic to your liking. read more

My girlfriend wants to quit smoking, and I bought her a vaporizer about a week ago at another store. She told me she wanted to get a bottle of oil that would be around $15. The clerk convinced her she needed a new vaporizer which cost me $89. Plus I had to wait the better part of an hour while the clerk tries to sell us 20 different flavors of oil. I wanted her to be happy, so I bought it, even though it was more than I could afford. A few days later, she asks for another bottle of oil, presumably $15. I give her my credit card to pay for the oil, and I see the clerk swiping it a second time. I ask if she is getting something else, and I'm told that she has to have a second atomizer. I ask how much I have just spent, and I'm told $26 (BY THE CLERK). I read my credit card statement today and found 3 charges totaling $49. I realize my girlfriend authorized these, but I still don't think its right. Also, if someone plans to give up something, do they really want to spend $90 plus dollars on it? Later, I found the Vaporizer that the clerk said we were getting a good deal on at $89 on ebay for $43. I don't do business this way, and I won't be going back. read more

Great prices on hardware and great tasting juices are my top two reasons that I continue to do busy with Big Chief. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the electric cigarette industry. History

Established in 2014.

Big Chief Vapor Products was founded in March of 2014, equally owned by lifelong Louisiana resident Heather Hutton and St. Bernard native Marcus Campo, after using electronic cigarettes to finally quit smoking. The couple first opened the doors of Big Chief with the vision of improving the quality of life within our parish. Now, as more and more St. Bernard smokers turn away from traditional cigarettes to find safety in their electronic counterparts, they are watching their quality of life rise with each day that passes.

Meet the Business Owner: MARCUS N HEATHER C.

Big Chief Vapor Products is a Limited Liability Company (LLC), and is owned and operated by Heather Hutton and Marcus Campo, who each hold a 50% stake in the company, and have built this business from the ground up. Marcus is a founding member of the Arabi Community Association, and has over 15 years worth of entrepreneurial experience. He is accustomed to leading large groups of people through difficult tasks, while Heather has excelled in the customer relations industry for years. Both Heather and Marcus are members of the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce, and are tasked with the responsibilities of dealing directly with our wholesalers, while always remaining extremely involved in the day to day activities at Big Chief including keeping track of sales, customers, and inventory, as well as payroll adjustments, the employment process, creating advertisements, and providing overall customer satisfaction.

If you don't feel like reading, let me just make it clear that the passion I see behind the counters of Big Chief is something magical. This is a great shop, filled with great people, and I highly recommend their services to anyone that is tired of smoking cigarettes. But to those who do feel like reading, let me start by saying that I was a smoker for 16 years that had become content with the consequences of doing so. I did my own math and I knew that I was paying 56 dollars per week to slowly kill myself. I knew I needed to quit, but I just didn't want to. I began by trying out a few cheap e-cigarettes from random gas stations, but only to fall right back to tobacco each time. So I was just going to keep killing myself. I was cool with that. But then this little shop on Genie Street named Big Chief Vapor Products opened up, and I was introduced to the true vapor movement. With each e-juice mixed in-house, where I hold the ability to control my own intake of nicotine, controlling the mimicking effects of e-cigarettes in whatever way I saw fit, I was able to find a perfect mixture of VG, PG, and nicotine that fit exactly the experience I was looking for. The employees were not only kind, they were caring. I could tell that none of this was about anything other than getting me to quit smoking. It was about me improving my quality of life. That's what they cared about, and that's exactly what happened. That was 11 months ago, and I haven't once thought about smoking a cigarette since I stepped foot in their door. Now I understand completely that 11 months is more like the blink of an eye compared to my 16 years of smoking cigarettes. But I'd like to think that I know myself, and I know that I've never been this long without a cigarette since before I started smoking. I also know that as long as Big Chief Vapor Products is around, as long as e-cigarettes and e-juices aren't banned by some legislative act of complete ignorance, I'm never smoking a cigarette again. I have successfully quit smoking tobacco! But if I can be real for a minute, it wasn't just e-cigarettes that helped me quit, no. I'd walked that e-cigarette road before, like I said a few sentences ago, and I only found failure at its end. So when it comes down to it, I believe that it was the owners and employees of Big Chief Vapor that not only helped me quit smoking, but ultimately saved my life. If they would not have opened up, I would not have quit smoking. I'd still be waking up coughing my lungs out, killing myself for 56 dollars a weeks. read more
