Delicious Philip Cheese Steak! Very satisfying. Prices are reasonable and the owner is friendly. Great food every time we visit.

The ladies of Brunswick are really knocking it outta the park when it comes to customer service!…read more Background A trusted friend recommended this spot, so I decided to give them a try while I was in town. Exterior They are located near FLETC in the same plaza with Sally's Cop Shop and Pizza Hut. There's lots of free parking. Interior The interior is pretty barebones but the space is neat and clean. Customer Service I arrived about 35 minutes to closing. As soon as I hit the threshold, I was greeted with a big smile and a cheerful, 'Welcome to Rockstar!' I apologized for stopping in so close to closing time and explained that I just wanted to check out the menu. The associate (who turned out to be Logan, the owner) told me that there would be no problem taking my order and that "I was the customer and they'd been waiting on me." I was so charmed by her warm and welcoming attitude. Price / Value Regular hot dogs are $4.50 and specialty dogs are $6.00. I got a combo (regular dog, fries and a drink) for $9.00, but wanted tap water so technically $8.00 (fries are $3.50) before tax. I think the items are priced well. For those they think the prices are steep, I say keep in mind, these aren't just regular ole hot dogs, these are pretty elevated hot dogs. Food They had a ton of hot dogs to choose from. Logan told me that they're getting new menus because they just added five new dogs - among them are a cheese dog and a low country dog topped with real crab meat! I can't eat shellfish, but I love the sound of it. Lol. I asked about the various dogs and discovered the Tina G and and Christine BG are so named because that's the way their namesakes, her cousin and Mom, respectively, take their dogs. One of the days I'm gonna have a menu item named after me at somebody's establishment! I opted to go with a slaw dog with fries. Logan gave me a complimentary dog as well. I forgot to tell them no yellow mustard on the slaw dog. The hot dog was DELICIOUS! They did everything right. The bun was steamed. The dog, itself, had a snappy exterior and the generous topping of scratch-made coleslaw was coarse, cold and tangy - the perfect accompaniment. The french fries (shoestring) were hot, crispy and dusted with the perfect amount of salt. I had a chance to chat more while my dogs were being prepared and I discovered that in addition to hot dogs and Italian sausages, they have burgers and, as of today, they have chicken sandwiches. The description sounded heavenly (hand-breaded chicken breast filet, topped with lettuce, pickles and Tzatziki sauce). She also reminded me that they have breakfast (starting at 7:30am) and the menu includes homemade pancakes. I saw that another reviewer had mentioned various specials on Thursdays and she explained that each Thursday they have a special dish - like last week's was red beans and rice. I also noticed that they have a vegan dog. Overall Both the food and the customer service were outstanding! I will definitely try to stop back by to try some of their other offerings (the #11 Italian sounds tasty) before I leave town. Highly recommend!

My daughter suggested we head to Starland Yard to celebrate her graduation from college. Starland is a neat spot with several stationary restaurants and a few food trucks that roll in...different ones every day. We chose the Naked Dog. Man...it was really worth it. For some, a $12 hot dog might seem steep. It was a gourmet dog and It came with fries, so I thought that was fair. My dog was perfect. Fresh bread...incredible toppings and ample portions. The fries on the side were seasoned very well also. It was a great hot dog meal. The rest of our party had other menu items from Dog: 1) Cheese fries - highly rated 2) Loaded fries--- VERY highly rated 3) cheeseburger - highly rated (it looked incredible) 4) a dog with jalapeños, etc. - very highly rated I have chased good hot dogs all over America and as far as Switzerland. The naked dog was a top 5 experience. When in Savannah, they are worth finding--- I know I will find them again...

*Note* Review is for experience with The Naked Dog food truck during COVID-19…read more The Naked Dog food truck did not come into my life soon enough! During the COVID-19 quarantine we have had several local food trucks from the area rotate for lunch/dinner during the week. I am so sad I only made it to The Naked Dog once before I moved back north. I am a hot dog lover, so imagine my difficulty in not ordering every variation from the menu! My husband and I decided on a few to split (not knowing their size): a classic Naked dog with classic toppings (ketchup, mustard, relish); a slaw dog; a Reuben dog; and a Chicago dog. If I could be speechless in a written Yelp review, I'd leave it at that. The dogs were jumbo sized, toppings were plentiful, tasty and temperature just right. The slaw dog was my absolute favorite - the cole slaw had the perfect consistency and was simple enough to not overpower the dog itself. The Reuben was a legit sandwich on a burger, pastrami and all. The dressing was perfect. The Chicago was classic and wonderful, complete with the unique green Chicago relish. Last but not least, smoothies! What better pair than a smoothie and a dog? We tried peach and strawberry. They were fruity, had chunks of real fruit and were not overly sweet. Just amazing! Y'all, please go have a hotdog or three on my behalf until I'm able to return to Savannah again!
