The best thing was the fried shrimp and the shrimp in the shrimp boil. The deviled crab was not good.Sigh, I paid a huge amount of money and was so disappointed. Chef Jerome is a piece of SE Georgia history and makes some fantastic food. From the moment we pulled up to the restaurant, Chef Jerome came out and greeted us with hugs and assurances that he was going to take good care of us. The building is eclectic, quirky, rustic, and several more adjectives - but never off-putting. It is comfortable.... When you walk in, you really get a feel for the history of this place - particularly from the tens of thousands of photos that decorate the walls (virtually all of them) throughout the restaurant. There are pictures of locals, travelers and even several celebrities that have feasted at the Diner. Ben Afflect's picture is featured all over the restaurant as he frequents this place whenever he is in town (he even has his own autographed chair hanging on the wall). They are known for their Wheelchair Platter - which serves 2, 3, or 4 people.
