What a GREAT experience!!!!! A horizontal break about 6 inches off the dashboard the entire length of the windshield was nice present at the end of a busy day. Another glass company said they could do it 6 days later. Big Crack Glass said, "How's tomorrow?" They showed up, made the change and we're on their merry way. They did run into a glitch - my rearview mirror broke the week before and I had an aftermarket one to replace. The tech couldn't attach it, so he instructed me to see the dealership. My wife and I were traveling through Pennsylvania in October 2023, when our windshield was hit with an object and cracked the windshield on the driver's side. Big Crack Auto Glass schedule was filled for 2 days, so we would have to be on a wait-list schedule to get the windshield replaced. I only keep liability on my cars, so when a rock hit my windshield I was forced to pay out of pocket. I contacted Safelite however the quote was too much. So I decided look for other options. I came across a Big Crack by doing a Google search. I called and let them know the make and model of my car and they gave me a quote right over the phone. I had windshield damage while driving through the construction zone on 83 in Harrisburg on a Tuesday morning. After the location confusion was cleared up they came to the house on Wednesday and replaced the windshield. Unfortunately the technician had some trouble and caused some minor damage to the hood. Shannon (Owner) was on top of the situation and fixed the damage and paid for a car wash. The customer service received from this company was a breath of fresh air in a world where the customer isn't always treated fairly. Big Crack Auto Glass has absolutely fantastic customer service both during service work and after service follow-up. After they replaced my windshield recently, I thought I might have had a leak coming in the passenger side. I brought my car into their shop where Shannon (the owner) sprayed windshield foaming glass cleaner around the entire windshield and performed a compressed-air and water-spray test to check to see if there were any leaks. Shannon tested the windshield seal thoroughly and even took extra time to help me discover the real area of the leak which was found to be in the body of the car. Shannon recommended a few body shops to take a look at where the leak was coming from. I really appreciated their after-service dedication and thorough testing. I also want to give a thanks and shout out to their whole team both on the field and in the office for their extra work and dedication for servicing my windshield. The customer service at this place is awesome. We were referred to them by a friend to fix my boyfriend's rear windshield on his jeep after if shattered while backing into a tree. The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly nice and helpful, and the price she quoted me was about $100 less than anywhere else I called. They were able to get us in the next business day, and told my boyfriend it shouldn't take more than an hour so he could wait while they fixed it. Upon arrival, my boyfriend told them the handle on his drivers side door was breaking and asked if they could look at it. After fixing the back window, they came back and had fixed the handle as well FOR FREE. I am so impressed. That's going above and beyond in my book, and I would definitely recommend them. read more
