I tried this place a couple of weeks ago because I was craving a chicken cheesesteak . It was my first time going . The server was really nice and made some great recommendations. I tried the regular chicken cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was pretty good. The chicken was moist and packed with flavors however at some point it was a bit over seasoned . I like that the cheese melted perfectly and the bun was soft . I would definitely come back. They also serve pretzels and coffee which was interesting . The ambiance was chill kind of gave a sports vibe . I will say I wish the chicken was a bit more grounded and next time I may get extra cheese

Oviedo-This new location is bright and clean. The workers behind the counter were very welcoming and gave us great info regarding their menu. The banana pudding-which we gobbled down before we got our sandwiches, was YUMMY! Not a huge fan of the rainbow Italian ice, but that may be because I'm not from the East Coast. Our Sammies were huge and had a ton of goodies on them. The meat was spilling out all over the wrapper. Definitely worth using a fork for all of the cheesy meaty goodness. Thankfully, we ate our sandwiches in house. Taking them home, they probably would have been a soggy mess. Definitely a great spot if you want a filling-cheesy-gooey- cheesesteak-sandwich!

Pretty good sub! Customer service was great -- Philly cheesesteak was hot/fresh and well seasoned. I originally asked for squeeze cheese but they forgot to put it on there. Would like to try that version. All in all, I'm not sure if it's a favorite, but definitely worth trying.

We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded and the staff were very friendly. We just wanted something light so we decided on the cheesesteak rolls. These rolls were really good. They were made fresh to order and were piping hot. They had a good amount of meat filling and came with Thai chili sauce, which I love! It tastes very good and the meat and cheese were good quality, no cheap stuff. I definitely want to comeback for a cheesesteak sandwich and based on the rolls I know they are gonna be good!

I'm always down for a good cheesesteak, and Big Dave's did not disappoint. They come strong with the Amoroso's roll and Philly Pretzel Factory pretzels. The cheesesteak was just right - gooey, hot, cheesy. The roll held up well, though it was a messy eat - definitely used a few napkins. Philly pretzels were just as advertised and about the same as getting them from the factory in Philly. Service was quick, order at the counter. Plenty of seating. We actually ordered ahead and sat down to eat there. I'll be back.

Dave's Way - sloppy and delicious

Dave is from West Philly and moved to Atlanta and then at some point started a Philly cheesesteak franchise. I'm originally from Philly and have had hundreds or maybe a thousand cheesesteaks and that's not an exaggeration (which is why my cholesterol was through the roof at 25!) Here's what I can say about Dave. This sandwich is delicious. I would never ever turn one down. Is it super sloppy and greasy? Yes! Dave's way with onions, peppers, hot peppers, mushrooms, and cheese is heart clogging great. Does it taste like a Philly cheesesteak? Nope! It does come with an Amoroso roll which was a sign of quality in the 80s. Now, it's waaaay too soft and doesn't hold together well. Oh another fun fact, Dave's has Philly Pretzel Factory (finally in FL!) And those are legit. So should you go? Immediately! Is it authentic? Not a bit!

it was a great experience! first time customer here, we were greeted and even got the menu explained to us with pricing and what we could get (combos, dessert etc) got our food quickly and fresh. fries were hot and crispy & my sandwich was incredible i got the #1. The restaurant is very clean, definitely coming back and recommend to anyone who wants to try :)

If anyone says the food here is other than great they're lying. Cristina upfront is also great.

Quality food, elite customer service, great chefs. If you want your moneys worth this is the place.

This was me goofing off taking in the ambiance of the place.

Food was phenomenal and the portions are insane. We are a big family and five of us ate from their largest sandwich. Staff is friendly and food made with love. They all appeared to like what they do, I would definitely go again but will arrive with more of an appetite as I was not prepared for portions.

Overpriced. Slow cooking. $12 for a very small sandwich. It was tasty but not satisfying at all.

He did ask if cheese and onions were okay which I appreciated. I absentmindedly forgot to make my buffalo cheesesteak with chicken. But it was okay with steak just not what I expected. Wish the cashier would've asked me which option I wanted but it's all good. Just know that it will default to steak of my you don't specify. Flavor was good. Sandwiches were hot even after driving home. Price tag is a bit on the higher side as the two sandwiches (one small and one reg) was roughly $27 without tax and tip. I tried the Philly cheesesteak on both occasions and I feel that something is off. On the first trip, I felt that the bread seems doughy and the meat to cheese ratio is off where there was too much cheese. The steak was chewy and different have must flavor that I'm used of tasting from a cheesesteak. In trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and believing that the experience was a bit off since this was carry out order and I didn't eat it right away, I decided to wait a bit before trying this place again. On the second trip, I ordered the same thing and paid extra to make it a hoagie (adding lettuce and tomatoes). I must say that I feel some kind a way about having to order extra for lettuce and tomatoes, but that was the choice I made. Instead of waiting, I decided to take a bite immediately when I got to my car. The bread was still too doughy for my liking and i feel there was too much cheese to make the sandwich too chewy. I tasted the meat separately and found the flavor lacking. In the end, I tossed the rest of the sandwich in the trash. So, I tried this place a couple of times and can't say I would go back for a third trip.

The market is honestly huge and I'm pretty sure anything you were looking for they'd have. But what I was really was there for was to try their chicken parm sandwich. And it was delicious. The flavor was amazing, the sauce was tasty and the cheese melted right off. It was so good I ate the entire thing. And trust me it's a HUGE sandwich. I also tried 2 of their cookies and they were so soft and melted right in my mouth. They even had a coffee shop inside too. What I loved about this place is they had a whole seating area outside to eat. It was shaded and fans blowing so it was decent out there. Everyone there was super nice and can't wait to go back! Wish they had another location near the parks. Because it is a little far away for me. 5/5

Saw an ad for D'Amico & Sons and decided it was worth the drive over to the Oviedo Mall for lunch…read more I'm glad I made the trip. The market occupies a storefront outside the mall with plenty of convenient parking nearby. Once inside, I was impressed by how spacious it is. There's a bakery, deli, gelato case, and an impressive selection of prepared foods including lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, Alfredo, and other Italian favorites. Shelves are also stocked with imported pastas, sauces, olive oils, and other specialty items, making it just as much an Italian market as a lunch destination. I arrived around noon and found a short line at the deli counter. Even during the lunch rush, I had my order placed and was waiting in the pickup area within about five minutes. Now for my own self-inflicted mistake. I walked in fully intending to order the Sinatra with mortadella, but somehow had a complete brain freeze and ordered the Sparano instead. I didn't realize my error until I unwrapped the sandwich at one of the outdoor tables. Oh well...it looked too good not to dive in. The Sparano is built on a beautiful artisan roll with basil pesto, a cold chicken cutlet, Prosciutto di Parma, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, arugula, and a balsamic drizzle. Flavor wise, it was excellent. Every ingredient tasted fresh and high quality. My only criticism was the overall texture. The sandwich ate a little dry for my taste, and I think it could benefit from a touch more moisture, perhaps a little extra balsamic, olive oil, or another spread to better complement the hearty bread. The roll itself was exactly the type of rustic Italian bread I normally love, with a chewy interior and beautifully crisp crust. Combined with the generous size of the sandwich, however, it became a bit of a challenge to take a proper bite. By the end, the roof of my mouth had definitely lost the battle with that crust. Even so, the quality of the ingredients and the generous portion made it an excellent value. Next time I'll actually order the sandwich I intended, the Sinatra and if it's as good as it looks, I have a feeling I'll be making this trip more often.

Unfortunately, though, our experience was less than pleasant. The guy working was nice and friendly, which I appreciated. However, about a third of the menu was unavailable. He explained that they were in the process of changing the menu, but it was still disappointing since several of the unavailable items were actually the reason we decided to stop in. We ended up ordering a Philly cheesesteak, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and a plain burger. The food was perfectly okay -- nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing that stood out either. Unfortunately, there were several other little issues that added up. The soda machine seemed to be off, and the Coke tasted very strange. The restaurant itself could have been cleaner, with crumbs and other debris in the booths. The food came in little baskets without silverware, which is understandable given the type of food, but every napkin dispenser we checked was empty, so there wasn't even a convenient way to wipe your hands. The bathrooms also had no soap or paper towels, which was especially disappointing. Overall, the food was edible and the employee was friendly, but the combination of the limited menu, cleanliness issues, empty napkin dispensers, and lack of bathroom supplies made this a pretty inconvenient and unpleasant experience. Hopefully some of these things were simply due to them being in the middle of a menu transition, but based on our visit, I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
