Big D's is located in a plain strip mall next to a small convenience store. It would be easy to miss and drive by. The interior is very spartan and functional. It is clean and well taken care of but not a designers dream. The staff is friendly, polite and greeted us quickly. The is a small bar with beer and wine - I didn't see any liquor bottles but if you want a burger and a beer they got you. The food is made by someone that cares! I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and it was very good. Brioche bun, pickles bacon, hot sauce this was one good sandwich. Had a nice amount of heat but not crazy hot (jalapeños is about my max heat level). My wife had a chicken salad with a nice amount of chicken on it. If you are in the area, I strongly suggest this place. I was there for a race, and a burger the day before sounded like the best idea. I got Big D Burger with fried egg on top, with lettuce , onion and tomato and onion rings on a side instead of fries. The 1/4 lbs of meat was cooked to perfection with the right amount of seasoning. I have not had such a juicy burger in a long time. Onion rings were just amazing, the flour dip not too much and perfectly crispy. The place itself was cozy and had a lot of personality, I liked how simple yet cool everything fit. I have OCD and high expectations so I am always ready to find the "room for improvement." This place has obtained perfection and i cannot believe it as no one does. First, the menu is one page, double sided. Keeping it simple, not too many choices, and clearly focused on what they do well: creative hamburgers with great flavor, chicken juicy and tender, and cool appetizers. Tried Big Ds while we're were camping in the area for the summer while looking for local spots to eat. We found this while driving to the grocery store. Great local place for great burgers. Ordered and waited. The waiting was pretty long. They were very busy. But between ordering and when we got our food it was at least 45 mins. I got the wing dinner. Comes with 10 wings, fries, and coleslaw. I got 2 wi g sauces. The Thai chili and the brown sugar Cajun. The brown sugar Cajun was outstanding. No lie. Just delish! I should have gotten all the wings that flavor. It sounds weird but it's sooo good. Wings were crispy and the sauce was just good. Fries and slaw were also good. Slaw was homemade and fries are fresh cut. 2 thumbs up. My partner got a burger. She didn't chose one of the many options she made it herself. Just a basic cheeseburger. She loved it. Got it on grilled sourdough bread. She would get it again. Service was a bit up and down. We got checked on but not asked if we wanted refills of drinks. As mentioned the wait was really long. They were really busy. The Covid-19 situation was ok. They wore masked and cleaned. But some of the bus people did not wear a mask. Issue. There was only 1 person but in the current climate you got to police that. The parking is tight. And the lot is a giant pothole. Be careful. Overall I would go back. Food decent people nice. We came here a few months ago as the first round of covid was beginning to come out of lockdown on a Wednesday evening. It happened to be pasta night so I got the pasta with chicken and cream sauce. It came out with a hearty serving, piping hot, and smelled amazing. My only issue was the pasta was so dry as it was house made sauce it was almost difficult to eat. I had to request more sauce in order to enjoy the meal but overall delicious. My partner got the chicken wings. Which were HUGE considering it's hard to find decent wings in the store or at a restaurant these days. They had a great amount of sauce and were super crispy. He enjoyed them very much. We also order a side of fries which were generic as best but house made. I loved the decor, despite the awkward covid social distancing requirements still felt cozy and welcoming. read more

This place has the best burgers easily in the tricounty area. It is better than Red Robin and and competes with Burgatory, but has a more fresh homegrown flavors but less variety. The prices are fair but they have discounts through the week! I've been going for years and Never Once had a bad experience. Pasta night on Wednesday is worth checking out if you're not in the mood for a burger. I recommend the chicken and fried cheese Parmesan. The burgers are always fresh...no frozen patties. The toppings on the burgers from the menu are interesting, but they always work (like the peanut butter, jelly and jalapeño one...trust me, it's amazing). The fries are perfect. There have been a couple of different businesses in this location but none have really lasted. After golfing down the road one day a buddy and I had some time to kill and decided to stop. Now, it's not much to look at on the outside...or inside for that matter. Some of the seat cushions had tears and the tables had seen better days. It is all pretty bland with the walls decorated with some old photos from around town. Having grown up in Newton Falls I personally found that to be pretty cool. All of this aside, the place was very clean and well kept. We were greeted and seated quickly and given water upon request. I settled on the El Rodeo Burger and went for the 1/2 pounder. I was starving after golf! It came with bacon, cheddar, onion tangles, BBQ sauce, chipotle mayo and I added lettuce, tomato and pickles with no questions asked. The burger came with fries for $10.95. If you have read my other reviews, I love sauces so I also requested a side of Rajun Cajun and Hot Garlic sauce for my fries. Again, no problem. When the food came out I was shocked by the portion size. My burger was huge! The mound of fries was massive! The burger was cooked to a perfect medium and all of the toppings were fresh. No joke, this burger rivaled some of the best burger joints I frequent in Cleveland and Pittsburgh at a fraction of the cost. I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed the burger! The fries were also excellent. Crispy outside, soft inside. Both sauces complimented the fries well. I ended up taking some home because there were so many. Wow! I had very low expectations going into Big D's but walked away with a new perspective. The old adage is true, don't judge a book by it's cover. I've learned this many times but it still hasn't stuck. The dives are always the best! Most gourmet burger joints cost a minimum of $10 just for the burger and another $3-4 for a handful of fries. You won't get that here. $10.95 for a massive 1/2 pound burger and loads of fries is the best deal in town! Not that hungry, $8.95 for a quarter pound. And if you don't like the pre-made selection you can always build your own. The service was great. Very attentive and friendly. Quality, quantity and hometown atmosphere, what more could you ask for?
