We saw Grammy award winning artist at a few different places throughout the night and heard some really good music! First stop on the Tour was at The BMC Balcony music club. We learned some cool Jazz history, learned how to make Esplanade Lemonade from a fun bartender then we took our seats. All of the hubs were timed so we had a tight window to finish our drinks and enjoy a good monologue of the show. BMC was one of my personal favorites. In transition to the 2nd pub, Pandii pointed out the different artifacts and shared a few ghost tales. The our tour included other guests from Chicago that were a really good time and definitely enhanced our experience as they were the life of the party. Next up was Favela Chic, this time we got to see Pandii perform a little (because she's awesome sauce) with a few of her friends. VIP treatment once again, skipped lines, with more free shots and this time hot pizza! Pandii performed a couple of solos with the Andre Lovette Band, which was really cool. Third stop was Café Negril with the Cola Vegas Band. The performance we saw was more of the 90s cookout vibe and felt good to go down memory Lane. Lastly was the famous Blue Nile who also had really great drinks and good prices.. The Trap Orchestra was really nice and overall was a really good time. A couple of these musicians were Grammy nominated artist so it was cool to watch them perform. This tour was worth the money and will give you fun memories to tell your friends about. 10/10 for me and I've already recommend Pandii to two of my friends! :-) read more

This tour is a MUST! We did the "Bourbon Street thing" on our first night in the city. But we are in our 40s and were looking for a more mature experience. And, Big Easy Walking Tours provided it. Pandi was not only adorable but an amazing tour guide. I LOVE how she sequenced the spots we visited with so much intention. Each one was unique and I must admit that they got progressively better. Absolutely loved this and one of my favorite adventures in New Orleans. Everybody around town knows Quay (our tour guide) and he made the experience of venturing to several jazz clubs so fun and seamless, with some additional stops along the way like the Frenchmen art market (we partook in the "glitter buffet" lol). The tour included a couple drinks, cover charges, and VIP seating at the jazz clubs. We went to BMC, favela chic, cafe negril, and blue Nile. Absolutely amazing and so much fun! In my years of living in the area this was the best tour I've been on. I like to head into town and act like like a tourist and take part in the fun. The guide was amazing, knew a lot of information (and was actually correct information unlike these others that make up stuff), and knew how to keep the group entertained. We never spent too long at one location and found some really cool people along the way. I would definitely do this again even if it were the same places and musicians just for the experience. I highly recommend booking with them when you are in the city. You'll get to hear different groups and visit places you probably never knew to go. read more

Having to visit New Orleans for the first time and seeing a lot of different things, this tour was great. The tour guide Pandit was very informative and very friendly. I never knew what to expect. Each club had an experience that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys great live music, especially never hearing them perform ever. My husband and I really recommend trying this out. I had so much fun on my Frenchmen Street Live Music Pub Crawl tour. Quay is a great tour guide. He helped us get comfortable as a group, and then took us to our first bar. There we learned how to make a cocktail from the general manager, and drank as we listened to great live music. Then at the second bar, we listened to more fantastic live music and had a celebratory shot. Quay hand picked each of the following clubs we went to. He took us up to the front by the stage every time and it felt like we were VIP! He knew so many of the musicians and street performers, it felt like I was in the know with him. I had a great time! As a first time solo traveler, I wanted a safe way to experience a little nightlife. This tour did not disappoint! I even met 2 other solo travelers. Our host Quay was amazing! Great energy and very knowledgeable about NOLA history. This tour was beyond amazing. Melissa was the perfect guide. Very knowledgeable and extremely personable. Melissa is a jazz singer who performs in the clubs on Frenchman. She is a professional Lindy Hop dancer as well. She was taking care of our group and then the next minute she was on stage for an impromptu performance with the band and then the next minute she was Lindy Hop dancing with other professionals. She also took us to the stage and made personal introductions for us to the band members at every stop. It was more like an immersive adventure. She went well beyond any expectations. Big group of 25 loved the music tour! We were at a conference and took 25 of our customers on a food a music tour. Quay (our tour guide) coordinated a buffet dinner and took us to 5 different music venues to hear some great music (we were surprised that there was so much great music on a Monday night). Quay was very friendly and fun. The bar where we met had good music and so did the second place we visited. We only stayed through two songs before moving to a Blues bar. Martha loved the band so much that she walked back to it at the The next bar while we were waiting for the music to start. Unfortunately, they still hadn't started after about a half hour so we moved on to another venue. We didn't stay long; our tour guide is a musician (sax) and was scheduled to start at 10. We utilized this company for a step-on guided tour for a motor coach group. What we received did not match our itinerary. Our guide used his phone to research areas we were in and then by the time he shared the information we were past. He did know his music (but he was a musician). He was personable and on the phone they were very professional; however the service did not meet our expectations. It's obvious there was no training, preparation, or planning involved on their end. The Frenchmen Street Tour seemed like a wonderful idea until we got there. The website made claims of tastings, demonstrations, and bars. Instead we got unprofessional service, nothing of what the website stated, and then no one from the company would return my phone calls. This was a terrible experience with this company. Deserves negative stars because the whole experience was completely unprofessional. We are here on our honeymoon. Never been to NOLA and wanted a private tour of the lay of the land by a local. Spoke to Quay who arranged our tour. Never gave us specifics about where to meet after taking our money. A few auto emails and that was it. Tried to contact via email and called the only number provided that appeared to be a private number that went straight to voicemail. Six hours later I received a call back from Quay who tried to tell me our tour was scheduled for the next day even though I received 2 confirmation emails prior. No apology. I demanded a refund which we are getting...hopefully. read more
