I think if we would have had a different tour guide, maybe this would have been enjoyable! But our guide spend too much time trying to make jokes and tell personal stories. We really didn't get much of a ghost tour. She brought us to 4 spots. One of them she talked a lot about but definitely could have shortened it due to the amount of jokes. This tour wasn't what we expected at all and we were very disappointed. It's not that we were expecting to see ghosts, but we didn't even get a good history or see much at all! It was October last year. Halloween season. My sister's family and I were visiting New Orleans, and my nieces really wanted to go on a haunted tour. New Orleans has such a torrid, yet captivating history, and we were excited to learn more about her past. My nieces decided on the Dead of Night Ghosts and Cemetery Bus Tour since they were tired from walking around the city all day, and the tour also makes a stop for beignets. You are picked up and loaded into air conditioned buses from the Rampart Treehouse, a pizza restaurant. The tour then takes you to Bayou St. John, the place where Voodoo Priestess Marie Laveau held annual voodoo ceremonies, the St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, the Charity Hospital Cemetery, the New Orleans City Park (The old Allard Plantation), the Katrina Memorial, and has a stop for coffee and beignets along the way. Our tour guide, Christian, was very engaging, and we loved hearing about the ghosts and spirits that roam around the cemeteries and park. I definitely felt energy and ghostly presences in the locations, especially the New Orleans City Park, and noticed orbs and mists in several locations. Watch out for Moaning Mona Lisa! My nieces also claimed that the beignets they had at our small rest stop rivaled those of Cafe Du Monde! I chose to do the Vampire Tour. On the night I did the tour, there was only myself and another guest - this may be due to the rain and chilly temperature. Rose was my tour guide. She is AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable about the subject. Despite only entertaining 2 guests, Rose's energy was captivating as she told fun facts about filming locations to crime history about vampires. I was even surprised when Rose offered to answer any questions we may have as I never thought tour guides would do. It was definitely worth it. I wish I went on more tours with Haunted History, but my time in New Orleans was limited. Pro tip: definitely tip your tour guide! read more

Stella was an amazing guide for the French Quarter Ghosts & Legends Tour. Knew her stuff and never had any issues even though we had plenty of rowdy adults, and a child dressed in a bloody bride costume, interrupt the tour. We'll have to go back through all of the pictures we took to see if we missed anything super obvious, but the tour with her was more than worth it if we don't see anything supernatural. The only cemetery you can stop at is the Masonic one and walk in! Go to the one in Meiterie down the road and walk to your hearts content! You jump on a bus and you visit multiple sites and get all kinds of info about our country's history, New Orleans history before it was even part of this country. You visit creepy places where murders, and hauntings and sad memorials all that will blow your mind. Christian mixes in humor and compassion especially while visiting the Katrina Memorial. You will make a stop at "Morning Call" so you can grab some Beignets, and in my opinion they are better here than at Café Du Monde. read more

Tour was well organized and set up. Meeting place is a nice little bar with decent drink specials for tour guests. Staff checks you in and assigns you a bus...they ran 2 when I went. Groups were small (17ish) bus was not crowded. Booking was simple through victor. Our guide was Christian ( name, didn't ask about his religion. I can't remember the drivers name but he was competent, we didn't hit anything. Christian did a good job presenting, very engaging. There is a bathroom and beignet break mid tour. Visited a couple of cemeteries the city park and the Katrina memorial. Overall an excellent tour. Staff was professional and equipment was well maintained. I felt it was a good value. Extremely knowledgeable of the area and the topic of cemeteries. He only gets four stars out of me though. He was too passionate about Hurricane Katrina. While it helps that he recognizes the "downer vibes" of his diatribe, he really needs to lighten it up. It felt like a 15 minute speech against the government, establishment, and/or civic leaders. His stories about the 1000 year old weeping oak trees and moaning Lisa were outstanding. Again, he is an excellent story teller. My family went on the true crime history tour. The tour was 2 hours long and there were only 3 stories covered. Having been on similar history and/or ghost tours in a number of cities, my party was fairly surprised that such a small amount of content was covered. A lot of the tour content was filled with the guide's personal life story, experiences, and views. While that was interesting and I had no personal objections to any of it, it simply wasn't what we paid for on a true crime history tour. In our experience, usually around 6 or so incidents or stories are covered in a 2 hour tour and you either get to enter or walk around the buildings/areas involved. For the first story of the tour, we sat inside a bar while they talked about something that had happened in a building across the street. The building was now a business so presumably they couldn't have us walking around in there, but I assume that sort of thing happens a lot in cities and thus the tours don't pick those types of locations to be on the tour. It just felt like a lot of talking, very little emersion, and not much content for the 2 hours. read more
