Most everyone at that meetup were dedicated VegFest volunteers, giving of their time and energy to contribute to making the event a great success. We are admittedly, but lowly groupies .. just following and attending the event at all three of their showings in the BC area this year (Nanaimo, Victoria (which I still have to post pictures of ...) and now Kelowna (which I'll also have to post pictures of lol) The dishes we had at Naked Cafe were spectacular, and I don't use that word lightly, with an incredible amount of flavor and depth in in every bite! They also have an incredible variety of items, brunch, dinner, lattes, adult beverages, pizza, and so much more! Whenever you make it out to Kelowna, the Naked Cafe needs to be on your list of top places to visit.

(Bibimbap) and some true Italian (Gnocchi and homemade Pasta) with the rest being slight variants of both. We had the Burrata salad with greens and roasted and fresh tomatoes (nicely skinned) with Pesto, Pune Nuts and a balsamic dressing. It was beautiful but needed more salt and acid to tame down the Burrata. Still a nice salad. We split the Patate Fritte which was fried potatoes and gnocchi with a really flavorful Chipotle Mayo. The whole dish didn't work. The gnocchi were over fried and too small to eat with the much larger potatoes which were also underdone. The Tuna Poke Bowl was very nice (and a good deal) with all of the usual components. The Salmon was cooked perfectly (crispy on the outside slightly translucent inside ) and came with a wasabi cream, lots of roasted veggies (potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans) and somewhat random things like cornichons, caper berries, and beets. The whole thing worked but would have been better with some editing. I personally wanted more wasabi in the cream and wished that it didn't get watered down by all the veggies. They have a nice cocktail list and a decent list of wines by the glass, several local all fairly priced. The place is modern looking with windows overlooking downtown streets in two sides. The place is very modern with lots of metal and concrete and consequently lots of energy and lots of noise. I see this as a great space for a bunch of friends, less so for a romantic dinner. The burritos were very small, but I guess for $6 it's not a bad deal. Unfortunately for us, everything is also gluten free, so the wraps that come with the burritos are not a nice texture -- very papery and dry, and doesn't seem to stay together all that well. The filling was better, coming with tofu scramble, potatoes, and vegan cheese. The scrambled tofu was nice, the potatoes were dry and didn't have great texture, but the vegan cheese gives it a nice sauciness to it. They've gotta get better wraps for these, as this was a bit of a deal-breaker for me; I wouldn't order these again. 2.5/5 The coffees on the other hand were very nice.
