It's 5 minutes off the highway so if you're driving by and reading this, do make the trip down. It's also a lovely little neighbourhood to stretch your legs with a walk along the lake or just enjoy the view and there's a small kids park just a few blocks further down. We had the BLTA (tofu bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) it was very tasty. A little heavy on the bread for my liking but it the bun was a nice texture and flavour. We also had a sunrise muffin and coffee - excellent muffin; delicious, moist and fluffy - recommend for sure. I saw on their website they also have special events (like thanksgiving for example) so check it out! Place & pay for your order at the counter. They all make is a delightful experience. The baking.... yum. We were doing some house renovations nearby so literally went here every day for ten days. I would pop in to Starbucks for my coffee and then get a treat here. The icing was suppose to be buttercream icing and it tasted like lard. Out of 40 cupcakes 28 were left over... And the few that were tried ended up in the garbage as they were that bad. We called the cupcake place #sugarsweetcupcakes and explained our situation and the lady stated "I'm sorry you feel they were not good...people rave about my cupcakes. The blue velvet looks green and its Italian butter cream made with real butter" I'm sorry you didn't like them.... Was also said very sarcastically.
